Each time, I was simply told they didn't have it yet, with no estimated arrival date or follow-up. I also texted my sales associate but never received a response. Eventually, I had to contact Cartier customer service, who sent a message to the boutique on my behalf. Only then did the boutique call me back to say my watch strap had actually been there the whole time and was be "misplaced" in another bin. To make matters worse, when I went to pick it up after waiting over three months, it wasn't even the correct color. Instead of resolving the issue, they offered to order yet another strap or sell me a different color they already had in stock, which I wasn't interested in. It's was over three months since I placed the order, and I was the one who had to repeatedly follow up before anyone realized my order was sitting in the store. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially given the level of service you'd expect from a luxury brand like Cartier.

But recently two men who were working when I visited to drop off and pick up my ring were surprisingly sloppy: in manner and in wrinkled, ill-fitting clothes. Employees of luxury jewelry stores should represent the quality of products & service in their appearance (so agreed my husband when I wondered if I was being snobby). We might consider another place to have it cleaned in future (I found online that the company and their parent company, Sterling, have had lawsuits and complaints about harassment over the decades and not compensating employees as stated). Switching however would mean if the setting, which has never had damage, does sustain damage or looses a stone, we'd lose the warranty protection. In the past the care was always consistent in getting the diamonds and interior of the setting clean but I'm now being given different information regarding whether or not I should have it cleaned in 10 minutes or leave it overnight(s). This location at least is now called Jared's [by/with?] James Allen (another Sterling brand).

He allowed me to try on all the various belts they had that I was interested in and also pulled out one that wasn't on display. There's also a seperate section primarily for clothing on the upper level. No security present so I just wandered in. There's a hidden closet as well, and the associate kindly opened it up for me without any prompts. I'm looking forward to standalone store opening which is slated for Fall 2026 (maybe sooner is construction gets done quickly!). While I don't remember his exact words, he questioned me in a dismissive tone about why I wanted to look at diamonds, apparently because he needed to retrieve them from the office. I was surprised by this interaction. As a customer, I don't believe I should be made to justify my interest in viewing merchandise. There is a significant difference between politely asking how you can assist a customer and questioning their intentions in a way that feels confrontational. He also set away to help other clients while he is assisting me. He didn't ask me if additional service is needed before he left. I have never had an experience like this before. I have visited other Shane Co. locations in the past and have always received exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those standards and left a very negative impression. Because of this interaction, I do not plan to return to this location.
