I went to the store to pick it up today and showed the employee at the customer service desk, asking if this is normal practice at Long's? He agreed it that it was strange, but no apology or anything. I also had to ask for all of the packaging, travel case and cleaning cloth that normally comes with a purchase of the dollar value from this particular brand. Needless to say, this was a very strange experience for a multi-thousand dollar purchase and we will not be going back to Long's.

The exact same spot broke the very next day. We called and were told, "No problem--bring it back in." But when I returned, the owner--without even examining it up close--claimed it was a "different area" and demanded another $35. He was rude, condescending, and completely dismissive. Given the number of similar negative reviews, this clearly isn't an isolated incident. When the owner inevitably responds with excuses or denials, please be assured: this is EXACTLY what happened. In those rings was a ring that cost me $6,000 to buy. He threatens he's going to keep your items if you don't come up with the money on time. And after all is said and done, he refuses to give you a receipt for your cash. The lease itself is the receipt. It had a regular white copy on top and the customers yellow copy on the bottom. He snatched it and wouldn't give me my copy after charging me $800 for a $200 loan!
