I'm super sad to be giving Panda a 1 star review because it's one of my favorite chains. Unfortunately, we've had the same thing happen to us twice now at this location. Today, we got to Panda around 11:03 am after a road trip back home. Their doors, website, and Yelp says they open at 11 but the workers didn't come until around 11:05 and told everyone waiting that they won't open until 11:30. Not sure if their hours are all wrong or if the employees were just late. The last time we came to this Panda, we arrived around 1 (and went out of our way on a road trip to visit the Panda Express) only to be told that there wasn't enough workers so they were closed today. I understand COVID times are hard so I understood the first time but for the same type of thing to happen leads me to believe something is wrong with the management at Panda. I absolutely love Panda Express and my husband and I are heading to another location now. We called and confirmed they were open this time. Hopefully this review will help make some necessary changes. I'm not sure if the problem is they need to hire more employees, find ones who show up to work, or pay them better. Maybe a combination of all of these options. We'd love to continue supporting Panda Express and don't have one where we live but we won't continue to go out of our way to visit if these problems continue. read more

It's fairly known fact in the restaurant business or in most businesses, be honest with customers and employees and they'll support you. This is the second time I've been to this location in about a 6 month time span and it's still understaffed and employees look miserable. I had a chance to witness a lunch rush and observed. I saw 4 people turn around in line and leave within 5 minutes. That's a loss of approx $40. And then here's the kicker, for the ones who stayed in line not a single person acknowledged the customers even the manager on duty. I watched while the customers looked around and wondered. Turns out they were cooking, helping the drive through. There are only 4 working from what I can tell. The one girl who was working the front was so unimpressive it makes me sad. Sad for her that she chose this job and doesn't even make an effort to say hello and welcome. In summary, the food is good and seems consistent with Panda standards however the staff sucks. A1 horrible. And as I've written before in my other recommendations it's no wonder why Chick Fil A is kicking you butt!!! read more

I hate to do this but I placed an online order with a lot of stuff and they forgot the sauce. I am sorry, but it is your job to triple check and make sure everything is right before you put an order out. So right away, I am angry because you can't really fully enjoy eggrolls or crab Rangoon without sauce. Without the sauce, both dishes are dry and taste like old oil. Furthermore, the food is pretty bad on its own. I had broccoli with a little bit of beef, orange chicken, and fried rice. I could have done better getting it out of the frozen section because the food was lukewarm, not hot like you would get at a real Chinese restaurant. My fourteen years old daughter liked her food, so this might have been two or three stars if they could get an order right, so I am keeping it at one star because you can't trust them. I used my app for this location on Grandview Blvd in Waukesha today, and I put in for my food to be ready at 11:00 a.m., which I do fairly frequently, and I got to the restaurant at 11:05. I had my adult son go in to get it, but the door seemed to be locked. This particular door is very hard to open, especially on a windy day, which it was today. I decided to try and open it myself but nope, it was locked. A female employee walked up at that time with a sign that she was about to tape on the door that said, "Lobby is closed due to understaffing". I held up my phone and showed her that I had already paid for my food and she looked very annoyed and hand signaled me to go through the drive thru. I was already in a hurry to get to my appt. and really didin't have time for this and didn't understand why she couldn't just hand me my food throught the door. I drove around only to find that there was a line! When I got to the ordering spot, she asked me if I had an online order, and I told her that I did. She said, "Ok, I'm just waiting on 1 thing and then I'll bring your order right to you". I put my order in at ~10:10 a.m., so ALL of my food should have been ready by the specified time! The line didn't move in front of me for FIFTEEN MINUTES! I could hear the girl talking to each car that pulled up behind me, asking if they had an online order. Several people had to back out and leave but then the line got really long and most of these people had no idea what was going on since she didn't put a sign near the drive thru order sign, so they were stuck in line, sandwiched between other cars and you cannot get out of this line any way except to back out of it. She was turning people away if they didn't have an online order and told them that they didn't open until 11:30, which isn't true. The person in front of me was stuck between me and the person in front of them, and wasn't allowed to order food, and like me, sat there for FIFTEEN MINUTES before they could drive away! I finally got to the window, now already over 10 min. late for my appt. (I had to reschedule, and I lost time at work that I have to now loose again when I get another appt., which takes WEEKS to get into in the first place!) and I had to wait ANOTHER TEN MINUTES!! The girl brought my bag of food with an attitude and a sour look on her face and said rudely, "there you go". That's it! No apologies whatsoever! I get it if your coworkers didn't show up and you're understaffed, but the very least you can do is APOLOGIZE for the wait! I still would have been very upset and missed my appt., but I would give this location another try if she had just been nice and apologetic. Not now! If someone higher up in this company reads this, just know that Panda Express in Waukesha on Grandview Blvd. lost a ton of business today when your sourpuss employee turned away customer after customer, not to mention all the people that won't ever be back! read more

They said to wait on the honey shrimp and another customer came in order honey shrimp and they got there's before my brothers. Absolutely awful! Extremely rude staff and cannot get orders right. Good luck getting anything other than the one crusty, inedible entree 2 hours before close. On a number of occasions, I have tried to order food and had to ask what they actually had left. Now, I understand times are crazy with COVID-19, but experience today was pretty awful. This location in particular was understaffed, which I understand can cause delays. On the other hand, I went in with my brother to pick up 2 orders of food for my family, only 1 was ready. We told them the name of the 2nd order, they showed complete understanding. 30 minutes later she comes and asks what the name is again. We tell her again. 20 more minutes pass by and she comes up and says they do not have our order in the system in which she has us read everything from the order to order confirmation. NOTE - while this time is passing by they are serving WALK-INS before us. AND every person that came in after us with a order seemed to have priority as they were making all orders as people walked in regardless. Not to mention during our 1 and half hour wait the workers were arguing with each other the entire time. Horrible experience, love Panda, just not this location. Will be going to Brookfield location from now on and forever. My advice - 1. have corporate communicate how to work in this situation 2. don't have crappiest employees on shift during these times 3. teach employees basic customer satisfaction and time prioritization. read more

Utterly frustrated and disgusted with the service & Panda on Grandview. Every single time I've gone there, they've gotten the order wrong. This time all 4 orders were wrong after my husband' waited over 1/2 hour for our food. Unfortunately, he was so frustrated from waiting so long, he didn't check our food to see if it was correct when he brought it home. . I tried to call them them after he brought the food home but no one would answer the call. They gave us broccoli and PORK instead of beef and broccoli, didn't give us the angus beef we ordered and gave us some kind of weird chicken that was NOT orange chicken. And my husband's black pepper steak was not in there. I'm just so mad. All 4 orders wrong! How can you get that much wrong. Last time I went there, I was in a hurry and they gave us 2 orders of noodles instead of one each of fried rice and noodles. But I went back in to get the rice and they said that they were out and would be 10 minutes. I waited. Took them 20 MINUTES to get me the rice! Literally EVERY TIME WE GO THERE, they get it WRONG! I love the food here and come here quite frequently, but it's frustrating getting there when it opens and not having half the entrees available and the rice not being ready until 11.
