Not surprised this place has a lot of bad reviews. The customer service is as bad as the cabbage chow mien. The drive through line was super long and, thanks to Gruesome Newsom's COVID-19 "guidelines," there was a long line to order inside as well. My daughter and I waited well over 30 mins before we reached the inside of the restaurant to order. I put on a mask as I walked inside and my daughter covered her face with her hoodie and also a shirt she was wearing underneath. The lady preparing my order didn't say anything but her co-worker next to the drive-through window noticed and said she needed to wear a mask. I told her she forgot her mask but that her face was covered, as the sign outside says. "Face must be covered." Her mouth and nose were covered, more so than others I have seen who don't even wear their mask properly, with their schnoz hanging out while only their mouth is covered. "It's the policy," she says. What's the difference between covering your face with a thick sweater or a flimsy bandana? At KFC, I saw an old man who wasn't wearing a mask and he had no problems ordering inside. If our own governor doesn't follow "the policy," then why are we? read more

This place has horrible customer service and accuracy. When they got my order incorrect instead of fixing it they said it was my problem not theirs. I ended up having to repurchase my meal! read more

After several bad experiences, leaving a poor review, getting a few free entrees so try again, this location cannot seem to get it together. The food quality is inconsistent, as are the portion sizes. It's like if they happen to only have a half-serving of something you order, that's what you get when I would gladly wait to get what I paid for. It's really a shame because we really want a Panda Express location here in Porterville. read more

Solid but kind of sussy food portioning honestly the chicken could be an imposter, I probably would rather spend my 19 dollars on a $19.00 Fortnite card (yahhhhhh) anyways customer service was mid but the orange chicken was bussin no cappys. No mames way read more

Look at reviews!! It IS a horrible place. Better to listen to reviews!!! Crew not nice. Food edible but not great

I placed an order online i waited 25 minutes after my scheduled pick up time got home and my order was wrong.... Horrible customer service I really wish the service was better... read more

If I can rate this place a 0 I would. I would rather drive 30 minutes to the next Panda than to go to the one in Porterville. The team specializes in ignoring their customers. I always wait a minimum of 15 minutes and up for my meal. Today, I decided to give it another chance. I ordered online. When I arrived I was instructed to drive back around into the drive thru because the order wasn't ready. I park for about 7 minutes and then go back around into an EMPTY drive thru. I get instructed to wait more because they are working on other orders. Wow maybe I should just order my meal right now instead of online. The team has a very bad attitude and the food is always a hit or miss. If you decide to go to this Panda beware. read more

This location had very bad customer service, I walked in to order a one entré meal and they insisted that it needed to be in a bowl and would not give it to me in a 2 entré plate. I don't like to mix my meat with rice and that why I do my meals that way. Anyways, not cool , they lost a customer forever at this location:( read more

I always have to wait on my order forever and I never get what I want I don't recommend wasting your money

This place is terrible. I went there tonight on my way to work. I wanted string bean chicken they said they just ran out to order something else. There were only 2 cars in front of me. I think they should take Express out of their name because I was trapped in their drive thru for 25 MINUTES tonight. When I finally got to the window they gave me the wrong food. They gave me a 10% discout (about $1). But I was 10 minutes late to work. Do not go here if you value your time you won't get what you want any way. read more

Panda Express is one of my go to restaurants. I've always loved the quality and flavor of the food but lately I have been disappointed with them. The portions that I receive on my orange chicken bowl is a sad amount. I've paid for chicken, so I should get my chicken. They fill the bowl with a lot of rice so that they could delicately place those five pieces of chicken in there and call it a meal. At this point, all I'm paying for is the side and not the actual entree. Disappointed. Apparently it only happens to me. My mom got a tremendous amount of shrimp. #TreatYoChickenLikeShrimp #IShouldGetWhatIPaidFor #StopBeingStingy read more

Most of the staff is rude as heck you pay extra for steak and they scrape the bottom of the pan to complete the order because like always they run out of food around 7pm.. This place really sucks! read more

Very rude person, Karyme, taking my order. They should have someone taking orders with a minimum degree of courtesy towards the customers. Definitely I will not be going back. read more

We have given this location a chance several times and they just never seem to be able to come through for us. It's always either under/over seasoned food or they are out of everything or like this time they give us portions that are clearly less than half of what they are supposed to give us. We literally had to go elsewhere and order more food because what we got wasn't nearly enough for everyone. It's sad because we love the food normally and my family really tried giving them a chance and they just don't seem to care about their customers. Total waste of money on 4 orders. read more

My daughter and I went to panda today and ordered using the drive-through. Young young lady inside had a very strong accent and I had to ask her to repeat herself as it was hard to understand her. We placed our order but when we got to the window to pay we could tell something was wrong as the price was too low. We notified them that something must be wrong. When we went back over the order they said no they were right and we did not order what we thought we ordered. We know what we ordered. They kept wanting us to just take what they had prepared for us and to leave. They told us to just go. We told them no we wanted the correct food. They finally gave us a small one portion box of the food item that was missing but they had a horrible tone of voice and they were very short with us. The food was delicious as usual but the customer service was the worst I have seen in years. read more

Fast and fresh selections. I love the Orange chicken. The drive thru tends to be slow. Use the online order option for a fast pick up option. The staff is friendly and provide great customer service. read more

Crappy food!!! When I received bowl of burnt rice and under cooked chicken!! Disgusting!!!

The chow mein was terribly made- it was composed of 3/4 veggies and 1/4 broken noodles! Just terrible, why insist on using the bits in the bottom of the pan. read more

DO NOT COME HERE PEOPLE! You WILL get food poisoning. Every time I try to give this place another chance I always get.. (warning tmi) ..diarrhea, horrible gas and stomach pain. There was even a time I was nauseous for hours. I'm not the only one who has this problem because when I mention it to others they agree with me. Another thing I'd like to say is even their workers say to not eat there! Ask anyone who's ever worked there. I've learned my lesson. These people do not know how to handle food. Once in a blue moon if I go when it's lunch hour i don't get sick. Their noddles are dry and the food is never consistent. read more

I really love their orange chicken and rice! Go when it is not too busy like off peak hours otherwise there is a wait because the food is yummy! read more

2 stars only because I wish they had vegetarian options! :( Was very sad when I found out this location doesn't carry the eggplant tofu. Every other entree contains meat other than the veggie spring rolls. read more

Worst customer service! Got our order wrong once again we love Panda Express, but we don't love the staff. We are paying for our food the least you can do is give us what we order. So annoying. I won't be giving the Porterville Panda Express my business anymore. If I could give them a 0 I would. read more

This particular store is possibly scamming customers. After taking your order they inform you they have no change and that if you want your food you'll have to have the exact amount or be willing to donate any change to the store. Today was my fourth visit in the past two months and they have done it every single time. After waiting in the drive-through for 10 minutes I was again told they had no change for my seven dollar order and I would have to be willing to donate my change to them. I only had a $20 bill on me. I asked them to use the money they received from the eight cars ahead of me to at least give me $10 back and they would not. I canceled the order. The cashier told me there is a change shortage in the US and that's why they have not been able to provide change to people for the last few months. This reeks of a scam. If they make at least a dollar on every order somebody goes home with an extra $400 - $500 each night. I recommend people go elsewhere and not be victimized by this particular Panda. Shady!! read more

Drive thru was fast, I don't live here either (anymore) but glad to see P'ville is getting a little more hip.

The food is just as good as any other Panda. The Service here is slow and horrible. The employee I dealt with acted like I was bothering her with my order. It was lunch time and the line built up. No sense of urgency at all. read more

I don't understand what happened to this place , but the last three times I've been there I have been served old food. It just seems like they should change out the trays if it's been sitting for awhile. I had the worst sweetfire chicken yesterday. It was really soggy and old, and everything else looked old as well. But they did have two huge trays of honey walnut chicken, why I don't know. Hope it gets better. read more

First time here. It was very spacious inside very clean and staff was friendly. I like the fact that there was plenty of seating and there was good amount of space between each table. Good lighting, had lots of windows, and the windows were clean. Very nice place to eat thank you. read more

Ok I would like to start off by saying that the service is excellent. Unfortunately the black pepper chicken did not sit well, I don't recommend for anyone to get this nor try it. For this reason I am giving it a 4. read more

I love this Panda Express. Always long lines but they work very fast and efficient; most importantly, they are friendly. The store was very clean for how busy it was. The girls cleaned the sitting area and asked if I needed anything. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for great food and fast, friendly, clean service. read more

I have been to this one several times. The food is okay, but the service is horrible. They have messed up our order several times in the fact the entirety of what I have ordered was not in the bag. I had to wait almost 20 minutes in the drive thru for them to ask me to pull forward to further wait while parked. When my food was finally brought out the lady who brought my food out this last time might have well of thrown the food in my car and ran back inside. Then to no surprise not all the food I paid for and ordered wasn't there. I couldn't even go back inside to reclaim missing items because the receipt I got was only half printed... This Panda Express is good if you are in a pinch but be prepared to be disappointed. read more

Drive thru takes extremely forever !!! And on top of that they don't put your complete order in your bag , that by the time you get home you need to drive back and pick up what they left out , they don't offer to give you a discount or for that matter anything free to make up for the fact that you had to drive all the way back to fix their mistakes. read more

This is a Panda Express. It isn't a homemade asian restaurant. Their food is fresh and tasty within the realm of what should be expected. If you are looking for fast chinese food, this is a decent place to go, especially in the morning when they open. read more

Drive thru is a nightmare. If certain entrees aren't ready and the cars in front of you choose to wait, you're stuck.

During our long road trip we decided to stop at this location. After entering we were separated(even though we were a family) and then pushed through the line. A couple of us constantly had to correct the employees on what we wanted as they kept putting the wrong items on our plates. When it came to checking out we were told to get outside and wait even though no one had gotten our drink orders. After being consistently told to go outside we waited while a person from our party carried all of our food and drinks out. After walking to our fifth wheel in the parking lot we noticed 3/6 orders were wrong and had items on them that we didn't want after multiple corrections. Two people from our party decided to go back in to fix our orders and then the Manager Memo(asked for his name) told us that we could only have one person per family in the store, even though in front of us stood a family of 3. After arguing with him he finally decided to correct our orders. This visit has easily convinced my family to never dine at Panda Express again if those are their standards. read more

It's wild that Panda is open at 10am now. Getting a late start on Sunday morning like I often do and want orange chicken for breakfast? They've got you covered! They've got a drive-thru, too, now. Not that I'd ever use it. Being able to look at the steam trays to see what's fresh is the primary reason I visit this style of Chinese restaurant. read more

Went in and bought a plate. I had one of those survey codes on the back of the receipt for a free entree and I gave it to the cashier and she did something on the screen. Thinking she had discounted the entree until I got home and looked at the receipt and realized she still charged me for the extra entree I was supposed to get for free. I honestly don't even know what it was she even did on the screen when I handed her the coupon code if she didn't even discount the entree!! read more
