I don't understand the bad reviews, place is great, workers were very kind, good ambiance, and the best food out of every Panda Express I've been to.

Because of how much Panda Express is either really bad or really good, I was really happy with my experience this time since the quality of the food was good for the most part. I ordered through doordash and got the chili crisp shrimp and the orange chicken. I didn't expect much from the orange chicken but it was very good and fresh. They also gave me mostly smaller pieces of chicken which I appreciated (the large pieces freak me out). The shrimp was good and would have been even better with sriracha. To accompany the protein, I had white rice and power greens. The greens were a bit too crispy for my liking and could have been steamed longer.. I didn't like that there was a large piece of cabbage on my plate that hadn't been cut. I saw that there were apple pie rolls which are basically like apple pie egg rolls. They were better than expected but I probably wouldn't get them again.. they had a greasy after taste. The only thing that I was really disappointed with is that I wasn't given any sriracha or any sauce at all to have with my veggie spring rolls. There wasn't even an option on doordash for me to request it. I wanted to give 4 stars but I'm giving 3 because my list of cons pretty much outweighs the pros.

Great customer service and fresh food, from the welcome through the front door till the time you leave it was one of the best fast food experience we have had during our vacation here! It's a MUST visit

That's a sad portion size

By far the greediest panda I've ever been to. Their portion sizes are always small compared to all the other stores. I've tried several times and they always give small portions. I guess it's because they are the only one in Galveston. Lame!

Egg Rolls and Ragoon
Caterina S.

This is the third time I've gone to this Panda Express. Tonight is the first time they have not been out of the Egg Rolls. However the eggs rolls are burnt. This is also the second time I've gotten the Cream Cheese Ragoon and unfortunately, both times it has been quite a bit more crispy than preferred. The burnt taste is overwhelming enough that it's hard to taste the filling. Otherwise my experience with them has been great. But they really need to work on having their appetizers in stock but also making sure they are not burnt.

Service here is fantastic: consistently friendly, clean, and fast. Lots of fresh and fairly healthy, fast food choices.

Doors are always closed early for some reason. It's 7:45 and they're closed an hour and 15 minutes early

I don't really like leaving subpar reviews. This restaurant has been on the island a long time. So…read moreI think some locals feel a bit nostalgic about it. The truth is, I didn't actually enjoy the food very much. Unfortunately, other than Panda Express, I don't think there's another Chinese restaurant here. And I would have rather had orange chicken from Panda Express than the Moo Goo Gai Pan I had for lunch at Happy Buddha. I will say this though, the service was wonderful and the building is quite interesting. Would I recommend? Nah, not really. Would I go back? Maybe, if I knew the company I was going with would be good enough for me to overlook the food.

Happy Buddha is, in my opinion, the best Chinese restaurant on Earth. Their food is great, the…read moreservice amazing, and the atmosphere? Exceptional! Personally, I love the Moo Goo Gai Pan. It's the best I've ever had! Each dish has a unique taste and texture, even when they seem the same. The combos come with egg rolls, fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken or pork, which are all exceptional as well. Not only is their food delicious, but it's also healthy. The Moo Goo Gai Pan even has bamboo chutes! All the waiters a waitresses are really nice, never getting annoyed by the complications of your orders. They even let my very picky brother change out the sweet and sour chicken for soup, and the fried rice for white rice, never even a single frown or glare. Also, everything there looks so authentic! When you walk in the door, there are two happy Buddha statues; one small and gold sitting on a table, and one large on the way to the seating area. Rumor says, if you rub the large statue's belly, you get good luck! The seating places are exquisite as well. They even have a wall made of rock!

On my most recent visit we ordered mapo tofu with pork intestines off the specials menu - a hybrid of two of my favorite Sichuan-style dishes. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. Maybe you'd prefer the aromatic, classic, perfectly balanced three-cup chicken? Or the sweet-skinned duck, glazed so delicately that specks of sugar crystal threaten to jump off onto the plate as you pick up a juicy slice with your chopsticks? And if you're vegetarian, might you consider the punchy garlic eggplant or the wok-kissed string beans? I could go on. Do yourself a favor and come see for yourself, though I'd recommend parallel parking on the neighborhood streets behind the restaurant rather than the rocky parking lot, to save you some trouble. Bring friends and chow down family style - you'll need help covering as much of the menu as you can, but you'll definitely have to come back to try everything.
