Flying in from America and getting to Heathrow at 9:00 pm leaves very little options for…read moredinner...luckily Super Singh's came to the rescue! We were able to place an Uber Eats order and had it delivered to our hotel for when we arrived and I was way more impressed with the food than I thought I would be. The menu is fully vegetarian with vegan modifications for any items that are not fully vegan because of using dairy cheese. There are too many options to choose from, and prices are very reasonable. We had to try a little bit of everything: BBQ Chicken Lollipops, Masala Fish, Margarita Pizza, Doner Wrap, and of course the famous Warrior Fries (a must order!). Everything=chef's kiss. I couldn't believe it was all vegan, especially the fish: I had to do a double take! The Warrior Fries seem to be one of the big things here and I see why: I couldn't stop eating them! Super Singh's is true vegan comfort food. The customer service is also phenomenal: I found them on Instagram and, being the indecisive person I am, reached out asking for recommendations. I got prompt and kind responses for every question asked! The fact that they are responsive on social media is a huge deal for me, especially when there are questions that need answers. And the portions are pretty darn good for what you pay-just do yourself a favor and go order you some vegan junk food from Mr. Singh, you won't regret it!

If you are vegan/ vegetarian and are in the mood for some junk food type of food, i.e:... pizza,…read moreburgers, hot dogs, milk shakes fries and the like, this place is great . Everything is vegetarian and they have loads of vegan options. They can also make your food onion/garlic free, which for me is amazing, as I have an allium intolerance and is hard to find places to cater to my needs, lots of gluten free but hard to find allium free. The place is located in the southeast side of Heathrow, short distance from Hatton Cross Tube station, hard to miss really, the advertising boards are a bit in your face, don't be put off by that, the service is really good and the food is very nice.

I'm guessing that you can't leave England without getting in at least one serving of good ol' fish…read moreand chips. So when the family hosting us asked what we'd specifically like to try in London before we headed off to the next adventure...I quickly replied that we'd really like to have the staple fish and chips as a meal. They were more than glad to oblige and pointed out a place nearby that was known to prepare it well that also came in gargantuan portions (fitting for a king). I didn't immediately believe the gargantuan part but was most definitely excited about having fish and chips the English way (not that it really mattered but was something I'd always wanted to strike off my bucket list). But lo' and behold, the moment I walked with the sweetest child and her father (who was friend to us) and the stories she told of how famous these chips were...I found myself facing a Chinese fortress. You've got to be kidding me. Café De China? This was *the* place that boasts of amazing English fish and chips? Did the factories in China stop churning out products for the rest of the world and decide on (once again) producing fast comfort food for the rest of the world? I truly was momentarily shocked but the way the little kiddo (sure was darling and sweet can be) just reminded me that *these* were legit food - Chinese or non-Chinese, lol. So I agreed to set aside all mannerisms and waited patiently like a dog having a treat on her nose. These be good food after all yeah? Well, come pick up and witnessing the amount of food that went into the packaging...they didn't disappoint. It was amounts fitting for a king. It was enough to serve a whole village if I were to describe it right. My fork that was on the dinner plate that it was served on later looked ill-fitting - like a teaspoon used for a main course. Yeah, good ol' Chinese way of giving you ENOUGH that you'd never complain again. Well, I'm not complaining, lol. BEST freaking bang for the quid so far. BEST freaking BANG. NOTE: I actually was impressed enough with their fish and chips as well as their following (considering that there was enough English-folks ahead of me when I queued up to pay) that I decided to stealth back later when the lady was sleeping to try a few of their Chinese dishes. Well, they didn't impress like they did their chips. Boring at best...but hey, their staple rocks off the sock so whatever...4 stars and a fan I am!

Filthy restaurant told to pay £20k A West London fast food…read morerestaurant where mouse droppings were found in the food preparation area has been ordered to pay nearly £20,000 after admitting a string of food hygiene offences. Dirty floor at Chef's Corner Chef's Corner, in Dawley Road, Hayes, and its director Mr Nirmal Pounj, aged 65, were prosecuted by Hillingdon Council after repeatedly ignoring warnings to improve the standard of cleanliness at the restaurant. During a series of checks, environmental health officers discovered a number of problems, including a failure to remove old mouse droppings from the kitchen floor, surfaces and storage areas. Staff were not washing their hands before touching customers' food and food was left in freezers that were not switched on. The ceiling and walls in the food preparation area were covered in grease, and paint on the ceiling was peeling and dropping directly onto food preparation surfaces. In January 2017 inspectors gave the restaurant a food hygiene rating of '0' - the lowest grading possible, meaning urgent improvement is required. However, despite extensive help and advice from the council's Food, Health and Safety team, conditions did not improve. Appearing at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on 21 August, Actmore Limited (operator of Chef's Corner) and its director Mr Pounj pleaded guilty to four offences including failing to put in place food safety procedures, failing to ensure staff were trained, failing to keep the premises clean and failing to put in place procedures to control pests. The company was fined £12,000, Mr Pounj was fined £5,200 and they were jointly ordered to pay costs of £2,318. Councillor Philip Corthorne, Cabinet Member for Social Services, Housing, Health and Wellbeing, said: "Environmental health officers spent a considerable amount of time and effort trying to help and advise Mr Pounj but in the end were left with no alternative but to take court action. We hope this sends a clear message to other businesses that we simply won't tolerate anything that puts residents in harm's way."
