The food in the old one was superb and the standard of food in the Raj has not fallen and is as good as ever. You can expect good and polite service and some of the best Indian food available anywhere in the UK. It's not a big restaurant, so it gets a bit busy on Fridays and Saturdays, but if you have to wait a few minutes for a table, it's well worth the wait. I watched them make one for someone else on the most recent trip and that bad occasion must have been a one off thankfully. The burgers are total customisation - just get how much or little you want on them. Oh and the soda machines are the best ones in the country! Free refills too. Sure it's a bit pricy for burgers and fries - but when they're this good it isn't a surprise that it is so busy.
