Was up in Dalton for training and was hangry. Panda is a typical go-to favorite of mine. This location is nice bc it serves up outdoor seating too. I'm always an orange chicken and fried rice type of guy, which you can't go wrong with here. Their chow mein noodles are also really good. One thing I love is that their food doesn't vary in taste from one location to the next, so you can usually count on the same quality. I enjoyed this visit, although the place was very packed. Stopped in here at 9 pm just an hour before closing. The line was very long to order, but the food came out instantaneously which suggests to me that it's not cooked fresh. I'm also suspicious because they told me that they only had 3 entrees available and then two types of rices as a side -- nothing else!! It was ready sitting in a box and they handed it to me. Maybe it's just because it was close to closing time or maybe the staff just wanted to make it easy in themselves. Not the best food either, I won't be back in a hurry. The menu board up on the wall behind the counter reads 2 entrees and 1 vegetable for $6.99. So this is what I got. It does not include a drink like sweet tea which is $2 more. Menu items ordered; sweet tea, brown rice, orange chicken and mushroom chicken. My sweet tea was surprisingly southern sweet tea which is what I like. It was just right as it had just the amount of sugar in it that I like. The brown rice was delicious as it was so good I didn't want to chew on it as for some reason wanted to swallow it whole. The orange chicken was spicy just the way I like it. The mushroom chicken was spicy too as I enjoyed all of this so much I just mixed the three together and dove in with fork. read more

If it would've been in the inside I would've turned around and walked off but I had pulled up to the window and wow no mask and within the 3 feet range most people tell you to avoid. Service is terrible, the kids running the front could barely communicate with customers due to talking to each other on their radios. Then the ice maker on the fountain in the dining area wasn't working. I dont fault any restaurant for this, equipment breaks no biggie. It's the fact that they are giving ice from the drive thru (after you find out there is no ice in dining) then letting you fill your cup at the fountain that's out of ice. THIS DOESN'T WORK! There is a cold plate at the bottom of the ice hopper inside the dispenser that has to be cold (ice cold) for the carbonation to work. I told the worker that I've been in the fountain industry for over 20yrs. They still didn't believe me and thought I was being rude for asking them to get my drink from the drive thru. Great location near I75 here in Dalton, GA. The guy employee that help me was pretty nice. The selection was great but the steams Vegetables were out, so I told him I don't mind waiting, so he noted the plate on the bottom with what I want it, meanwhile they cook some more vegetables. I paid and sat down and waited just a few minutes which wasn't bad. The girl that brought me the food to the table seem nice until she had to go back to exchange an item which was served wrong. I told her what I had requested, and I even mentioned instead of taking the plate back, to throw away the item on the plate that was wrong bring me the right item on a side plate. But she just didn't say anything and took the plate, dump the item that was wrong(I can see her from my seat) then put in the right item. She brought me the plate back with the side all messy and sticky(see pictures-picture is after I wipe down because it was dripping). Panda Express train your employees better! Also as you can see in the inconsistency of the amount of Teriyaki Chicken on both plates(my son's and mine). We just got a NEW restaurant in Dalton.....now everyone in the immediate area can overrun the place for the next month (and backup Walnut Ave. making illegal U-turns into the parking lot....). This being said, they haven't even been open a month and I have eaten there 3 times already, guilty Daltonian... The food all of the Asian persuasion. Though it was only average, it was nice to know the food was coming out of a brand new kitchen (and you can see them cooking, so you know it's clean). This bumps it up a star in my book. The best value are the plates (1 side, 2 meats) for around $7(ish). They pile you up with food so you don't go hungry (could almost feed two). My favorites are the Chow Mein Noodles and the Beef and Broccoli. The spring rolls are also decently good, but steer clear of the Sweet and Sour sauce....I found it kinda funky. Ask for the spicy mustard packets instead....they hide it behind the counter. I think they are afraid I might run off with handfuls.....which could happen. Moral: If you are craving some sanitary Asisn food, stop by here. Otherwise wait a month or so when the lines (and parking lot chaos) dies down. Then give it a try. read more

This was my first visit, the staff was very friendly and helpful, food was very good, better than I expected. They were not shy with the portion.
