Panda Express is pretty rare out in the Midwest, and this one has a drive thru too?!? Super cool! If you're looking for quick Chinese food, this is your spot! The drive thru staff is always super quick with service and very polite! I have never had any issues with the staff, but this review is only 4 stars because sometimes they run out of orange chicken at this location. I'm sorry, but you can't run out of your best selling entree. Along with Orange Chicken, I've also been told that they ran out of white rice. Consistently out of items, making you wait 10+ minutes EVEN if you order in advance online, half the time they just straight up don't have items you ordered or prepaid for. last time they gave me a super tiny takeout container in place of the normal ones, even though I ordered a bigger plate. So this was my first time at this location. I was familiar with this brand and thanks to Tmobile, I gave this location a try. This weeks Tmobile Tuesdays deal was a free orange chicken bowl! I had to use by today or forfeit. I had to do an online order for pickup to redeem. No big deal, right? WRONG! It kept getting stuck at the last step which is place order. Now that i finally got it to work after backing out 4 times, I pick up my order and it is wrong. I double checked my receipt and it was correct there, just not in my bag. I ate it anyway as I didn't want them to throw the food away. The food was pretty good, not great but i wonder if they made my order immediately and let it sit. All things considered, the bowl was free so I'm a happy girl. Next time, i will eat inside though. read more

Worst asian food I've ever had, hands down. There's like no meat on the their orange chicken, it's just overly breaded styrofoam, the rice is undercooked and rock solid, and the sauces are overly sweetened or salted. If I'm going to eat something unhealthy, at least it should taste good, but this is far from it, never going there again. read more

Tried it for the first time about two weeks ago with my husband, and there just seemed to be a lot of tension between the staff, I wouldn't have minded but it costed us a 30 minute wait for our food. Tried tonight to see if the drive through would be any quicker, and it was.. BUT, I ordered the steamed veggies and the carrots are black? I never leave yelp reviews but this place warranted one. I placed my order and the worker at the drive thru asks if I wanted to donate to a charity to which I respectfully declined. She then proceeded to guilt trip me, making passive aggressive remarks like "not even a dollar?" And "so you hate kids huh?". When I pulled up to the window to pay, she continued, saying "nice car you got and you couldn't even donate?" I really didn't appreciate her behavior towards a customer and I believe it was completely unwarranted and unnecessary. I literally downloaded Yelp to review this. I came in right at close so I wasn't expecting the staff to be so upbeat and kind and helpful. They were out of what I wanted to order, so they made it fresh for me (very quickly) and it was perfect! Not sure if Russ is a manager or not- but if not, he should be! He was awesome!! Won't be back. I ordered the beef and broccoli, walnut honey shrimp, and chow mein. The chow mein was EXTREMELY oily. I had to prop the box to the side so the oil would drain into one corner. I put napkins in the corner to absorb the oil. I removed one napkin after it was completely saturated and put another in. I had to do this 7 times before the oil stopped collecting in the corner of the box and each napkin was full of oil before I removed it. The coating on the shrimp was very mushy, the beef was salty with very few pieces. The chow mein consisted of broken pieces of noodle and lots of cabbage and onion. The only good part was that there was a lot of broccoli and it was cooked perfectly. I noticed all of the locations have very low ratings. I was excited about the addition of Panda Express to steelyard commons as I am a big fan of Asian food and absolutely love pepper steak. When I walked through the door I was instead greeted with a buffet style setting, all of which contained NO pepper steak, a major disappointment for me. The only dish that looked remotely appetizing was the pepper chicken but this dish sadly contains peanuts and I am not a fan of peanuts in my food, another downer. If you're looking for the traditional Chinese restaurant be hereby warned, this is NOT it! The food is also overpriced in comparison to average Chinese restaurants and the portions are very small. The food wasn't bad but nothing special either. I wouldn't recommend unless you are on the go, really hungry and like buying overpriced food that isn't specially made for you! read more

Only getting one star because I have to! This was a terrible experience with horrible untrained service. We were waiting for 20 minutes because we had ordered something they were nearly out of. We saw multiple people come in and out and still ours was not ready. We had 3 plates and were only waiting on one. By the time the first item was ready they were out of the next! After 20 minutes I asked for my money back I was told they were short staffed and that was the problem. Then a manager comes out to give me my refund and asks what was the problem? I say well I've been waiting for 20 minutes and I'm done waiting. He then says they're having trouble with the grill and he just took over this store and he hopes I'll come back. I said no offense but I problem won't. He said "it is what it is". No wonder this store is a mess, they have a poor customer service model and obviously no training.
