Best Tacos I've had in a minute. The kiddo loved the Quesadilla too. The cucumber lemonade was perfect. Very refreshing and not too sweet.

It looked pretty popular with a decent number of people dining in and a bunch of others picking up orders. The girl at the counter was super friendly and helpful because I had no idea how to order lol. She made a few recommendations and even helped adjust my random items into a combo for us. Prices are fair, ordered 3 meats and 2 sides for like ~$50. We got ribs, brisket, and pulled pork along with cornbread and mac and cheese, and it came with a fountain drink. Food came out pretty quickly, we didn't have to wait long. One thing I thought was fun was the bell by the door that you can ring if you had a good experience. We rang it on the way out and got a bunch of cheers from inside haha. The ribs were big, meaty, and cooked well. The brisket wasn't really my favorite, and the pulled pork was a little hit or miss since some bites were way saltier than others. We tried both the mild and spicy bbq sauces, and the spicy wasn't too spicy. Overall, a perfectly solid casual bbq spot.

Honestly, a solid BBQ option on the west side of Madison. I can tell I don't get out much anymore…read morewith how shocked I am by lunch prices. Not just here, but everywhere, really. I think my pulled pork sandwich, two sides (cole slaw and fries) and a drink pushed $17. That's more than I prefer to spend on lunch, but I was going out with some work friends and felt like treating myself. And it was, indeed, a treat! The pulled pork was very good - not overly fatty or anything. Good flavor. I tried the "original" and "sweet city" sauces - both were very good and not overpowering. The fries were good - a little greasy (but "good greasy" if there is such a thing). The creamy cole slaw confused me. It was a bit dry. I know, right? How is creamy cole slaw dry? I'm not sure if it's always like this, or maybe it was off the top of the batch and the "creamy" and dripped to lower parts. Don't get me wrong - it tasted good. We'll see how it is next time I'm there! Overall, a good BBQ stop. The pulled pork sandwich will be a standard order there, but I'm sure I'll venture out to some other dishes to see what they have to offer!

Along the walls they have some booths, and they also have a very nice counter space. Here, you can come in and just have a cocktail, or you can order your meal and eat it there, as well. The food items they offer are interesting. A modern interpretations of traditional Mexican and Latin culinary delights. What they offer is a really a unique blend of the modern, combined with the old school. Meaning, what you can order will be flavorful, made with great ingredients, and a fun presentation. In terms of drinks, they have a nice selection of beers, some wine, and they also do offer cocktails. So, for those who wan to enjoy a tasty margarita, or something like that, they're happy to make it up on the spot for you. This restaurant is attached to a large parking lot, so you'll never have a problem finding a parking spot. The staff here all seem really nice and are very helpful. So, if you are looking for any guidance towards what you want to eat, they'll be happy to guide you in the right direction, as they did for me. Overall, great spot to eat.

I know that's…read morethe typical thing you think of for Mexican food, but it has been on my list to find places that serve it in the Midwest. After trying different variations from other restaurants in Chicago and Madison, I have to say they have the best carne asada fries (titled Loaded Fries under the shareable section). The fries are wedged with an assortment of quac, sour cream, their own cheese sauce, and pico de gallo. What made it so good was the ratios of the ingredients and the cheese sauce. The portions are enough for two people to share, though you may leave with clogged arteries. Although at times there may be a language barrier with staff, they were attentive to our needs and checked on us regularly. A fun fact is that they are located behind the grocery store aspect of the place. Vibes were great.

GF got 2 steak and one chicken tacos. She said steak was good but chicken was flavorless. I got lengua and cauliflower. The lengua was not cleaned well or seared so it was just gray meat with veins and other sclera in it. Cauliflower was typical bar food "deep fried buffalo" style, but on a taco. Guac was decent. I think the gal making margaritas mixed up sugar and salt and our drinks were salty. Poor service - total of 3 people attended our table but nobody returned to check on us. Total experience $45.
