We went on Sunday and the experience was simple and easy as Sunday morning could be. They ask do you want a big brunch or a regular sized brunch? The bacon was cooked perfectly, eggs were a delight served with a side of cream cheese. You go through the breakfast experience in full guiding you through the savory and finishing with the sweet. A bit of a let down to be honest... lovely surroundings with a chilled out atmosphere but the actual pancakes were some of the most pitiful things I've ever seen (I don't think this is being too harsh... but maybe I was just a little bit swayed by the great pancakes I'd had at 'Bob's' the day before) These were like silver dollar pancakes in the states but seemed to be lacking taste, were overpriced and the toppings were pretty average. The carrot and ginger juice we had was really nice but I think if somewhere is going to call themselves Pancake Sisters then they really need to nail these and make them the best in town! read more

Love love love love this place. So happy we were able to try it during our time in Paris. Cute, sweet, cozy atmosphere. Adorably kind staff. Excellent food. What's there not to like? Oh, and they offer an INSANE brunch for only 23 euros, includes : OJ, your choice of coffee or tea, eggs, bacon, three pancakes and a salad with cream cheese, then an incredible parfait topped with all sorts of scrumptious items, then lastly for dessert you get to pick a topping dr honey, caramel, Nutella, and a few others for a stack of 3 pancakes !!!! I chose the Nutella, no brainer- HOLY COW i truly wish i wasn't as full as i was because they were incredible. This definitely could be shared between two people. Their food is fresh, and made to order. Seating is limited, some tables are meant to be shared. They do not accept credit cards- Euros only, but there is an ATM around the block they can direct you to. The poor girl who was helping me and my friend on a June morning was working alone - clearly someone had overslept/failed to come in, and yet she remained calm and served all of us as quickly and efficiently as she could. Like Arsene on Rue St Denis, this features a new take on a traditional type of food - take pancakes and make even more of a meal of them, by adding savory or sweet elements. Not sure I'll come back, but as I say, kudos to the server for making the best of what could have been a bad morning for all of us had she melted down. read more

A small café which was handy for us to pop into on our way to the train station. You can reserve a table but we were lucky to be able to sit down straight away - pretty much all of the tables were occupied. If we'd had more time then we would've been tempted by their brunch special for €23.50 which included a hot drink, banana smoothie/green tea/mint tea, savoury pancakes, a couple of cheeses, fresh fruit and finally sweet pancakes with either chocolate chips, hazelnut spread or maple syrup. Instead we ordered a stack of sweet pancakes and a freshly squeezed juice each. Both were fine but the portions were small and they resembled Scotch pancakes rather than 'American' pancakes that we were hoping for. Wow, a new pancake place in the neighborhood! An option for when the lines at Holybelly get too long? An alternative to Allen's Market? Sadly, not. We would like to suggest to the owners: know your competition. If they make fresh to order pancakes, how do you plan to appeal to customers with pancakes that you make in batches? If their offerings are copious, do you think that your customers will be satisfied with relatively small portions? If they serve their pancakes on ceramic dishes with metal utensils, how pleased will your customers be with paper plates and plastic utensils? Based upon their price point of 7.50 Euros, which is definitely cheaper than the other pancake makers, Pancake Sisters seems to have chosen a different competitor: the classic French café breakfast. Whereas the French breakfast consists of a croissant or toasted baguette, a juice, and a coffee or tea, Pancake Sisters slots in two pancakes with a choice of one of two syrups instead of the croissant/toast. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and the coffee is decent. But there's none of the charm of the café (see: paper plates, plastic utensils) and fewer options (filter coffee is the only coffee on offer). This may seem like a good deal to some. Happy to have gluten free!!! These are not your hot buttery American pancakes. They are more like little cakes cooked in a pan. Room temp, slightly dense and garnished with an array of toppings almost always including delicious whipped cream. These will be the most interesting pancakes u will ever eat! I came here awhile ago on a Sunday. U r forced to order their 25 euro brunch that day. But it comes with a lot of fun things so it's worth it! Prob one of the healthiest meals I had in Paris. I got a tea and a freshly made juice that was a mix of fruits and veg. You can see them put the ingredients into the juicer :) the main was a plate with soft spinach pancakes (SO cool), but a bit small for my liking. I could've eaten so many more of these! On the side you get a small salad with bread and goat cheese. There was also some sort of scrambled eggs that was amazing. Last for the dessert u get regular pancakes with yogurt, granola, and fruits around the plate. A must try! read more

We went on the sunday brunch. During brunch times you are not allowed to order of the menu but are given a 2 course meal for 23e. The best part of the whole meal was the hummus, and then the chocolate. Two distinctly non-pancake related things. The pancakes were not wonderful. They were too fluffy, not crispy and not terribly tasty. TLDR very little food for the money. Low quality pancakes. read more

Delicious and gluten free pancakes are available here! Although they cannot guarantee no cross contamination as they also use wheat flour in the cafe. The ingredients themselves do not contain any gluten though. They are available sweet or savoury. I plumped for a savoury option with tomatoes, mushrooms (it is France), lettuce and a rather tasty sauce. Happiness. The place is nice and cosy and the sisters themselves are lovely, nice and friendly people. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're in Paris and eating gluten free. read more

Took my friend here after seeing the ridiculously long line at the place next door, and I am so glad that we chose to eat at Pancake Sisters instead. It's reasonably priced for being a breakfast/brunch place in Paris. If you live here, you know how expensive it can get as brunch culture is still a growing movement. The place is decorated in a simple way and the foods look matches that vibe, but the flavors are complex and delicious. I ate the Panster breakfast which is a salty pancake sandwich, stuffed with organic scrambled eggs, a homemade cream cheese, and you have the option of bacon. I took the option and it was amazing! Not greasy whatsoever, nor too salty, and the small side salad added a nice touch. You can tell that all the ingredients are fresh and organic because it comes through in the flavor. I've been to other breakfast places in Paris that claim to use fresh and organic ingredients but it's not apparent once you eat the dish. My boyfriend ate the american classic, which he highly enjoyed and my friend ate fruit power pancakes, which is labeled as a dessert haha. Really really like and appreciate this place. Brunch is a little expensive, but then you cannot find another brunch like this in Paris. Really original and it is the first time I felt like I've had a huge brunch but not gained 10 kilos in the process - everything is SO healthy but SO good. If I can offer a tip - they should look into free coffee / tea refills - just as a competitive principle (other places do it) / kind gesture - it was the one thing that seemed to be lacking... Otherwise it's a bit small but if you call ahead and reserve a table there's no issue. Nice waitstaff too. Been twice already and will definitely be back ! read more

These are the first pancakes I've had in Paris that actually taste like the delightful buttermilk laced versions I'm used to at home. I like their chai tea, beet flapjacks, and feta and fresh tzatziki, among other creative toppings. The owners, Sonia and Karine, are bubbly and super nice, and they offer gluten-free options and were extremely careful about my order (I'm a celiac). Sometimes I get sick from cross-contamination in Paris, but not here. I will be back! read more
