Wildberry Crepes, Corned Beef Hash
Andrew L.

2nd visit for the wife & I. We shared the 4-Berry Crepes, Corned Beef Hash, Eggs & Pancakes. Still just as good as the first time!

Adding a data point. We were here on a busy fall break holiday weekend. We saw the super long lines around 9am daily. We weren't interested. Our last day at 1:20pm there was no line so we decided to check it out. The prices were super reasonable. The service was nice and very southern vibe. More savory pancake choices would be good... At home I love to order pancakes with bacon mixed in for instance. What we did eat was good and portions were large. The preschooler in our group was thrilled with the extremely sweet pancakes.

Pancake Panty is a staple in Gatlinburg. The establishment has been serving up delicious pancakes, crepes, & waffles for decades. There is usually a long line to get in, be patient! It is totally worth the wait! I ordered the peach delight crepes, amazing! The portions are large, the coffee is fresh, the restaurant is cozy like you're dining at home! I will definitely be back!

Personally not a fan of sweets but portions are very large and the food is good overall. I got the morning star with a side of bacon. Delicious and I'll personally make this at home. Service was great. The restaurant is crowded but feels cabin like. 7/10

stopped here for breakfast during our weekend trip to gatlinburg and really enjoyed it! the exterior has an old-style charm, and it's right by the village shops makes it even better. i ordered the crepes (daily special) with a side of hash browns, and everything was super delicious. the service was good as well, which made for a great overall experience!

Service was great and very fast. Pancakes were delicious. Not too sweet, good balance with the sausage and eggs. Everyone enjoyed their food.

Absolutely the best place for breakfast in the city of Gatlinburg. Beautifully decorated interior and service that is fast and friendly. When you arrive here, you're likely to see a very long line, but have no fear. It moves very quickly. This is as good as breakfast can possibly get in Gatlinburg. Quality choices include: blueberry pancakes, bears in the snow, chocolate chip pancakes and so much more.

LOVED this place. It's right on the main road of Gatlinburg, and has an "old school" look. Plenty of seating inside and the food is suuuper tasty - I got the peach delight crepes and they really hit the spot. Prices aren't bad either, I was full with the crepes and a side of 2 eggs and my total with tip etc was only like $21? Very reasonable for lunch. The staff was also helpful and friendly! Bathrooms weren't anything fancy but clean enough (they're up the stairs right at the entrance on the left). Overall would absolutely come back to this place, I planned to while I was in Gatlinburg but ended up trying another place to mix it up (this place is still king for me re: brunch in the area!).

What can I say about at Gatlinburg staple? It's been several years since I've been here and the menu remains pretty much the same. Here's a few things I wish I would've asked before ordering. How many pieces of toast come with the kids order. There are two huge pieces. Since I got this with a side of bacon, I wish I would've split it with my daughter. How many pancakes come with the Swiss chocolate? It was either 4 or 5. The serving sizes are CRAZY and quite honestly, can all be split. I'm not cheap by any means but we ordered 3 side of bacon, again not knowing you get 4 slices with each serving and they were $5 each side because the meals don't come with sides. That is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Prices aren't bad, food tastes like it did 10 years ago. The place is still as crowded as ever but our server was super sweet and very quick. Side note, it may just be the time of year but we didn't wait at all for a table. We've not had to all week which just amazes me. Great spot for breakfast, I just wish they would update the menu a bit to tell you exactly what you're getting.

This is a MUST go to if you are visiting Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Do not be discouraged by the line. It is like that every day! And fortunately, it goes by very quickly. Pancake Pantey is able to churn patrons out in a quick manner! Service is exceptional. Your coffee will never be empty. The food is delicious. Every seat is filled. The ambiance is fantastic. This is one of my favorite places to go when I visit Gatlinburg!

My first time eating here but the gals I was with had been here before. It must be super popular because we stood a in line that started behind the restaurant along a line of shops. There are a few benches along the way if you are with people who cannot stand for long periods of time. Having said that, the line moved fairly quickly, I would say it took us 25 minutes to get to the front of the line. Inside is spacious and has large tables for bigger groups (we had six in ours). I ordered the Morning Star and a coffee. Morning Star: hash browns with eggs, ham pieces, and sauteed veggies on top and three pancakes. You would think the hash brown/ egg/ veggie combo would be the "star" but no - it was surprisingly bland. I added hot sauce and pepper and it didn't help much so I left a lot of it on the plate. However the pancakes were fantastic. They were fluffy and tender - add the butter and maple syrup and it was bite after bite of heaven. This place was busy so be prepared to wait on weekends at least. Also, there is no parking right at the restaurant, you will need to find a pay to park lot for shorter walking or park down the road a bit.

This iconic Tennessee staple was a lot closer to 3.5 stars, but I rounded up. The line is super long, but moves relatively quickly for a busy, weekend brunch. As expected, the pancakes and waffles are fantastic. The main issue is all the toppings. They are extremely over the top and so sweet, that it overpowers everything else. The base pancake is so good, so it's best to get something that actually allows you to take it. All savory breakfast items were solid, but nothing too crazy.

Corn Meal Cakes.... oh yeah!!!

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Gatlinburg been going here for more years then I can remember since my childhood all the way into adult hood. Yet every time I learn something knew. Like to today our server Morgan suggested I use honey on my corn cakes... game changer so so good. No matter your choice you will love your meal. We had omelet with buttermilk pancakes and I enjoyed the corn meal cakes... always so good and want more. One piece of advice get there early the l line starts and worth the wait. The line moves fast just be patient.

Do you guys do delivery?

No. Only women.

Any gluten free options?

I believe they did but you may have to ask them. Maybe call ahead to confirm because when you get there, the place usually has a like wrapped around the building.

Are they covid compliant?

Pretty much.... Though the tables are pretty tightly squeezed together in my opinion. Be better if they didn't try to fill the whole place up like they do.

The wait is worth it if you get there before 8 am. The omelettes had a lot of filling and were very good. The buckwheat pancake while thin had a really nice texture. The pot roast eggs Benedict was good but the biscuit is so thick and soft and the meat is soft that it would be better with an English muffin for a texture factor. Place is cute log cabin vibes and very busy.

People are frustrating--especially on vacation. But, if you are irritated, do not assume that you won't be understood. I speak 3 languages well and understand more. The wait was awful, but to be expected. And our waitress was helpful and friendly--though not super attentive. She was busy, though, not lazy. The food was decent. Not earth shattering. Bottom line...if you want BIG food. And you have 1.5 hours to wait for food...it is a great tourist spot. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The cinnamon roll bread is well done...but the flavor was tame and the glaze was not good. My son loved the Aretha Frankenstein pancakes. However, if you want good food, there has to be a better spot.
