One of the owners is originally from the states and very helpful and friendly. She made me two bowls of vegan delight that was delicious and gave me too vegan brownies for free as a going away present. Oh, they were delicious too. We enjoyed the service and the food was amazing. They have choices for Vegetarians and meat dishes, of course, for those who eat meat. The restaurant is located on a narrow cobblestone street with beautiful old style buildings (one of the only streets original to Caen, built prior to WWII, that was not to shelled to oblivion during the fighting between the Nazis and the Allied Forces). We would definitely go again the next time we're in Caen!

For our main course, I ordered the vegetarian galette/crepe and my companion had the typical ham, egg and cheese one. I had the salted caramel crepe for dessert and it was perfect. We ordered a pitcher of local cider and it was very tasty, ... dry and with a nice punch. The service was excellent and for the most part the owner served us. He was super. The decor was very classic, old and well maintained. The Cote Bocage is located on a restaurant alley of sorts with lots of options. I would be happy to back to Cote Bocage anytime!
