Some what large and outdated Salvadorian restaurant located on a busy road. When we came, there was no one in attendance and we waited there for a while until the server came. Thankfully, the server was nice, sat us down quickly and had our coffee out almost immediately after ordering. Being that it was breakfast, we ordered a typical Salvadorian breakfast. At first glance, it did not look like much but flavor wise, it was very good. Though our waitress was very sweet, she was absent a lot so for quicker service, you might have to go to the counter. We didn't order anything else so I can't speak for the other dishes but they do have a stand of baked goods which looked very appealing. Might be worth a 2nd trip. read more

This Restaurant was very welcoming. They have a very home vibe here. Although the menu is kind of confusing to me. I love how the good taste I do think some of the menu options are a little too pricey but the quality is very very tasty. I also like how everything wasn't brought out all at once. A bit disappointed with my visit(s) here. On my last visit, the food took a hot minute to arrive, but this time the food was still a bit cold. The waitress didn't really pay much attention to us and actually had to walk to the counter to get her attention. Do not get me wrong, the food is great and delicious with a good selection of traditional food like Pupusas, the service DEFINITELY needs some improvements. Food wise I will give it 3 stars, bakery wise seems to be a 4 possibly a 5 but I did not try many bake goods. The service was very nice and hospitable they took me close to their closing time cheerfully. Now the pupusas seem fine, they have good curtido, but their sauce was super weak! The sauce was so diluted with water my tears over this were probably more solid. The tamales were ok, but seriously the sauce is a major important factor of the eating pupusas experience...but sadly they messed it up so badly, I am not sure if I will return there to eat that tasty Salvadoran traditional dish. read more

Always on the hunt for good pupusas, we were thrilled to find this gem. Don't go for a trendy vibe, as the eclectic colors and cafeteria-vibe will not be your flavor. If that doesn't matter to you, as it didn't to us, you will be in love with the mouth-watering El Salvadorean food. As others have mentioned, this is a predominantly Spanish-speaking establishment but our waitress spoke very good English. We had a Spanish speaker with us but could have gotten by without it. Being one of the vegetarians in the group, the cheese and bean pupusas were to die for as were the fried plantains served with sour cream. The carnivores in our group were salivating over the pork pupusas. They weren't as in love with their chicken tamale but as I said before, go for the pupusas. They also have vegetarian tamale options but were out of them the night we went. Overall, very affordable, welcoming staff, delicious food, large bakery section. What is usually just an extremely delayed service with mediocre food turned into a horrible experience cold soup for a customer sick with COVID. After waiting 40 minutes for a supposedly 15 minute order of simple chicken soup i received cold soup with no chicken. When I told them that they offered for me to come pick up the chicken alone instead of offering a replacement soup and apologizing for the mistake. When I declined that and asked for replacement soups i was then passed to an employee who told me they can give me one soup even though I clearly paid for two and that was all they could do for me. Diving deeper into the heated discussion I was then told they actually dont have anymore soup, neither chicken nor beef, and that I would have to pick up the soup the following day. I agreed to this and asked for what I would need to do to pick up the order and they promptly hung up on me with no further instructions. Extremely rude service even after I explained that the soup was for my father sick with COVID and bedridden. They make a mistake and refuse to compensate the customer with proper hot food or even what they ordered to begin with. I've gone to this restaurant for over a year simply for the pupusas which are decent but the wait times are atrocious and the service doesnt do any better. read more

Besides, the pupusas and tamales are too delicious to deviate from! Nestled in a former Dairy Queen (hence the barn architecture), this panaderia and pupusaria is enticing from the get-go with a fully stocked cases of pan dulce at the entrance. Now get ready to break out that high school Spanish or bring your A-game charades skills cause this place is so authentic that you may easily be the only English speaker in the joint. But the staff is very friendly, so don't let this deter you. For those unfamiliar with pupusas, they are grilled tortillas, about the size of your hand, stuffed with cheese and other deliciousness. Their pupusas are hand-made to order and stuffed with cheese, beans, pork, or loroco, a small green flower bud. Describing loroco is like describing salt...salt tastes like salt and loroco tastes like loroco. It's good, so just go with it. Order any kind, you can't go wrong (though my favorites are con loroco o revuelta). Served with curtido, a cabbage slaw, and tomato sauce, it's an instant comfort food. I agree like the rest to bring your best Spanish speaking skills when you come here BUT now they have menus that translate in English & Spanish and they have a big menu when you walk in that's also translated in English. This is the best authentic Salvadoran food I've had. In addition to the Pupusas & Tamales, I would say to try a Sopa de Res. Such a great delicious soup that always seems to hit the spot. Great place, friendly owners (who are sometimes there when I go) too who always seem to want to make sure we're okay. Great place. A+! read more

Horrible waitresses. I have given this restaurant multiple tries and it's always the same. The waitresses are rude, don't acknowledge you, and always get something wrong. The food takes forever to get to you and if you're going with other people forget about getting your food at the same time. We would get one dish wait twenty minutes, then receive another dish. So half of us were finished while the other half had just started eating. The food itself wasn't so bad. It was average at best and overpriced. P.S. Make sure to check your receipt because I've been overcharged both times I've gone. read more
