This was my first appointment with Dev and at that establishment. I brought in a picture, showed her exactly what I wanted, and told her I was nervous. She looked at the picture and said she could do it. That was not true. What I left with looks nothing like what I asked for. It is poorly done, uneven, and completely unflattering. At this point, shaving my head feels like a better option than trying to work with what she did. I will be wearing a ball cap and wigs for the next few weeks just to feel presentable, because right now my hair looks terrible. King Street barber is the place I had been looking for. Leslie is experienced and just a pleasure to work with. It was a true barbershop experience. Straight razor on the neck, really nice cut where she made sure to do everything that her customer wanted and even great advice on what type of product to use. She even took time to give the history of the place that was built in 1926. Inside honors the history with some simple and really nice decor. If you're looking for a great haircut in Riverside, I highly suggest you try out King Street Barber and style shop.

If you're buying into this poor service model, you should stop. Conversely, called another company and provided them basic biographical information, booked an appointment for a set time less than 90 minutes into the future, spoke with a woman who cracked a couple excellent jokes, and it only took 2 minutes.

I arrived about 10 minutes early and was seated at my appointment time. From there, however, everything went south and the barber refused to give me a haircut. So here's what happened. My hair is about as simple as one can get. I've worn it the same way since I left active duty in the Navy. Short and parted on the side. When asked what I wanted, I repeated the same info I've shared with barbers hundreds if not thousands of times. "Take it up off my ears and taper it in the back. A little off the top too please. I have a cowlick there in the front that comes in when it gets a little long, so please remove that.. It's pretty long right now" My barber immediately started questioning me on how many inches I wanted cut. My response was an honest, i don't know, i think my other barber used a number 2 but I don't really know. So then he proceeds to ask me if I want buzz cut claiming that's a number 2... Well no... I don't what a buzz cut. Maybe you could just start cutting and then if it's not short enough I'll let you know and you can take more? His response which is now bordering on rude... I can't do that... We're on a tight schedule. So I said I don't really know how many inches and then I asked him if he could still do this? At that point he said no and rudely pulled the smock off of me and my non haircut was over. So tomorrow I drive across town to my usual guy. Where he'll get the same instructions as above and I'll get the same haircut I normally get. For about $10 less too although that's my usual tip. So I can't comment on the haircut because I didn't get one. But I can comment on the rudeness and attitude I received at this business And if they respond here claiming otherwise, I would just remind them who's right when it comes to customers. This is only the third review for this place which I assume is new. Still time to turn it around, but I know I won't be back.

P&T is a traditional barbershop, with hot towel shaves and the works, and stays booked. Walk ins are going to wait quite a while, and appointments are always recommended. Prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and I consistently see happy customers, including mine. They are cash only though, so make sure you have that.

I arrived a couple minutes early and checked in. I was asked if I had an appointment and I said yes. They said nothing else and didn't offer me a beer or water like they do at Beach Blvd. Around 1:18pm when they took yet another person before me I asked someone how much longer it would be and she said "One of the girls should be available now I'll go get her." At 1:20pm I let same girl know I was leaving. Her response was, "She's coming up now". No I'm sorry, it was as if I was the jerk for leaving when they were 20min late without even letting me know. On top of that, where was she? It's not a big space, nobody was walking to the front so whomever was coming sure wasn't moving with any purpose. If I wanted a 1:30 appointment I would have scheduled it. I can understand when people run behind but you have to communicate that to the customer so that I can make a choice. An appointment is an agreement, I agree to be there on time, you agree to be available on time. 5-10min I can understand but 20min late for what's booked as a 25min appointment, that's ridiculous. What it tells me is that you don't value my time or business at all. I've never had this problem at the Beach Blvd location. Save yourself time and go there instead.

The second I walked into V's Barbershop, I knew I had made the right choice. The shop is super clean, has a great atmosphere, and the receptionist was incredibly welcoming. My barber, Antonio, was awesome. Come to find out, he's actually from my hometown... what are the odds? We talked the entire haircut, made me feel comfortable, and gave me one of the best cuts I've had in a long time. Safe to say, I think I've officially found my barber and finally feel at home here in St. Augustine. One thing I'd definitely recommend is downloading their app and booking an appointment ahead of time instead of just walking in. It makes the whole process really easy.
