Alicia was great! Best haircut I've ever had! They have a good online appointment system, so I didn't have to wait. I highly recommend them! read more

When did Barber shops go high tech where you can't walk in and get a haircut. Instead, you have to get one more account online giving up your contact details including your credit card just to make an appointment. Notice when you make the appointment your credit card will be hit for a charge if you don't show up - I understand the intent. But, when I showed up for the 8:30 appointment the reserved barber was not there. I sat for 15 minutes waiting while one barber sat in his chair glued to an phone flipping pages. When I asked where she was at 8:30, he responded she was coming later. So much for customer focus. She never showed up and digging through my text messages, I found an early morning message saying she would be noshow. Considering their concern for prompt arrival and charging if the customer is not there, what should their policy be when they don't show up. Sending a 7:30 text that they are no show does me no good as I don't live with the phone glued to my eyes. While I understand time is money and there are many technology companies selling services to small business like barbers suggesting they can optimize their appointment slots with this kind of system; as a customer, this just lacks soul and heart. I got my grandson a haircut at a place that did handle walk ins and don't care if they do the best haircut in the region. They won't be doing mine. read more

Got a nice haircut by friendly barber Alicia. Will return. The reservation process was excellent and saved time at checkout.

Amazing service and even fit us in on a busy day!! The people here were so kind and amazing and worked so well with my son who has anxiety with haircuts. I have never had a better experience read more

Just tried this shop for the first time... and I'm kicking myself that I haven't found them sooner! Amazing haircut and beard trim from Matt! I haven't trusted anyone with my beard for years, and have done it myself. Matt did was so detailed, and cleaned it up and shaped it beautifully! I will definitely be back! read more

Super easy to schedule thru the website, Kody was great with my 2 boys age 7 and 1! Their hair looks amazing and he was very patient with my screaming one year old. Thank you! read more

I sometimes go to Carmelo's in Palm Coast that takes walk-ins and appointments. There, if you get in the door before closing, you get a great haircut! Not at Mr. Ray's! With two barbers, serving two nearly complete haircuts at 6:15, and no one waiting, I was shown the door. Lazy, poor customer service! read more

Got to Mr. Ray's on a Saturday morning 5 minutes before they were scheduled to open and to my surprise they were already open and had a small crowd inside already. I waited maybe 10 minutes before being called to the chair. I found the barbers to be great conversationalists and barbers. They did a fantastic job on my head for $18. I'm looking forward to getting many more trims here. read more

Walked right in and only had to wait a few minutes. But I can easily see this place being packed. Overall, fantastic haircuts. Great banter between the team members there. Cool, not necessarily politically correct atmosphere. I find it interesting that they have you turned away from the mirror. You get to see everyone else getting their hair done but not you. You get to see the results at the end when they turn you around. TaDa! read more

I absolutely love Mr. Ray's Barbershop. It is a true barbershop with the quality and talent incorporated together. Matt is the barber who cuts my hair. They support the veterans active duty and all first responders. read more

Fast friendly professional service! All that and the cut was Amazing! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. My son will definitely return!!!!! read more

I recently reviewed based on a prior experience, and will say that Mr. Rays stepped up and my experience has been consisitent and friendly. Watching them manage the Satirday morning rush before firet day of school is unbelievable. I owe them an apology for being too sensitive in one interaction. They are consistent and fair and friendly in working with customers. I'll keep coming back! read more

I moved to a new area close to Fruit Cove and found Mr. Ray's here on Yelp. I decided to get my haircut there for the first time. My barber was Jeff and I had him give me a fade with a little off the top. Jeff actually did a perfect job. It was a very friendly and laid back atmosphere. The price was reasonable. I plan on going back next time I need a haircut. read more

Excellent shave and a haircut thank you Daniel you're the best Looking forward to seeing you often It took me three years to find a good barber in this town Highly recommend read more

Mr Ray's Barber Style Shop - Received a shave and a haircut best haircut in town great shave greatly appreciated thank you Daniel see you in a couple weeks - Barbers Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Okay, I've tried to give Mr Rays the benefit of doubt but who ever answers the phone should stick to cutting hair. Every time you call and ask for an appointment they are very short and just say "All Booked". Maybe if Biz is so good hire a front desk/scheduler? The one good thing is that by the time they answer the phone, get you booked, you'll be ready for your next, next haircut. Get it together Mr Rays. read more

If you're looking for a good quality haircut and need it booked 1 to 2 weeks out then Mr Ray's is the spot. When you call you can tell they don't want to answer the phone and every time tell you that the entire week is booked. They do good haircuts but the customer service is the worst I've ever seems. read more

This is a great local business that knows about customer service. If you are in the need for a trim or a shave and in the area this is an awesome spot. read more

Mr Ray's Barber Style Shop - Barbers Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

This is the only barber shop I would trust with my son's hair. My husband has been going here for over a year now and we started taking our 5 year old here about 8 months ago. They know exactly how to cut his double crown perfectly. It is a drive from our house but we like their work so much we keep coming back. Everyone that works here is so nice and seem to really enjoy their job. They also treat us like part of the family. It gets super busy so you may have to wait as I don't think they take appointments every day. We've never made an appointment we just stop in, take a seat on the bench and wait. read more

This place gives the best haircuts I have ever had! All the barbers are amazing. It doesn't matter who I get my haircut comes out perfect every time. The straight razor shave at the end is incredible. The only drawback is Mr Ray's stays packed. This is a testament to how God they are. I highly recommend making a reservation before you go. read more

I have been going here for about a year. It's awesome. It's unlike any barbershop or so on but I've ever gone to you because I've had several people cut my hair and have never gotten a bad haircut. Most places always have one or two great people and everyone else is kind of bad not here everyone is great. It took me five years to find my my barber. They are fast clean efficient and super friendly. read more

Been coming here for over two years now. We have used just about everyone that works here because we are often "walk-in". My son gets in the chair, we discuss what we want. 15-20 minutes later we are paying and out the door happy customers. read more

Great barbers. Much better than corporate shops nearby. Hot lather shaves. Appropriate pricing. Conveniently located next to Wal-Mart foods. Daniel is a rock star barber. Generally kid friendly staff, but lots of swearing in the shop. All of these observations are based on multiple visits. read more

A bit pricey but worth every dollar. They take time to cut your hair and do a great job with beards. Probably the best barber shop I have ever been to. read more

First visit here. Danny did a great job! I'l be back again. Nice to finally find a good barber and shop again!

The place is great, anyone of the barbers can handle the haircut style that I just started wearing. Like any great barber shop or clips place,if you can go in and see full barber chairs, guess what your in the right place. And really I've only seen one place like it and that's Mr. RAY'S. Just like a good friend told me,if you can go into a restaurant and no one is there,it's best to keep looking for another place. If you can't wait a few minutes for a great cut, then I can point you to the nearest super cuts and after then my guys at RAYS can fix your haircut. No appt needed for that lol. read more

Great place! Went in for a cut and beard trim and was quite impressed with Blake who really listened to what I was looking for and took care of business in a pro manner. read more

This review is not for the barber shop as a whole, but rather for the "barber" who has cut my hair the past few times I've been in the shop. As I said, I've gotten several haircuts from Dina and she's screwed up my hair every time I've gotten her. I ask for the same traditional men's haircut every time I go and she manages to gap up my hair without fail. It seems as though the most simple men's haircut is a struggle for her to do. At this rate, i'd honestly rather cut my own hair than pay $16 to have that lady completely ruin it. Not even a hat can cover up the mess. If I ever go back, I'm booking an appointment with either Alicia or Daniel. They do a phenomenal job. Otherwise, I'm taking my business elsewhere. You know a person can't cut hair when they make the entire barber shop look bad.. read more

I've been here several times and the haircuts are "ok" (not great), reasonably priced. There's always been a certain lack of emotional maturity with some of the staff. However, when a few of them (male) started whispering to each other and the guys in their chairs like little schoolchildren and MAKING----NOT ONE----BUT MULTIPLE HOMOPHOBIC COMMENTS DIRECTED TOWARD ONE OF THEIR OWN CLIENTS who stayed quiet and was obviously embarrassed (and in the same room as other customers, including children): I just couldn't let this slide. Sorry, but this hateful behavior is totally unacceptable. I won't be coming back. read more
