Cheryl has now taken care of my dogs for two 1-week vacations, and she has done a great job both times. I immediately felt comfortable with her the moment I met her and trusted her enough to give her complete access to my house and dogs. During our introduction, she took copious notes about all the details. She provided me with references, and everyone I called gave her glowing reviews. When we are gone, she texts me each day to assure me that the dogs are doing fine, and when I return home she has handwritten notes from each day summarizing what went on in my absence. Cheryl also was willing to bring in the mail and put out the barrels on recycling day, which I appreciated. Prior to our return home, she did offer to vacuum up the dog hair in the kitchen area where the dogs stay when we're not home, but I felt bad taking her up on this over-the-top kind offer. The other thing that I really like about Cheryl/Shebby's Pets is that Cheryl is a one-person operation at this point, so she is the ONLY one who comes to take care of the dogs. Other large companies I looked into had several employees who would take turns or shifts with the dogs, and I didn't like the idea of not knowing who was coming into my house.

Every single time! She has faithful, long-term walkers who are all friendly, mature, responsible, energetic and genuine dog lovers. As someone who is very particular (read: protective, slightly neurotic) about my two rescue Maltese, Marley and Mia, I wasn't sure I'd ever feel that level of trust again. Then came Emily. From the start, she was warm, professional, and incredibly intuitive with my pups. She took the time to learn their routines, quirks, and personalities, and I noticed right away how much they enjoyed being around her. That alone was a huge relief. But what really sealed it for me were the regular "pupdates" she sends--quick updates with photos, notes, and sweet little observations that show just how much attention she's paying. Our adopted dog arrived from an environment that did not socialize him with other dogs. We've been…read moretaking him to Top Dog weekly to overcome his shyness with other dogs. We explained our situation to the staff at Top Dog, and they went above and beyond to insure he was introduced properly to the other dogs at the daycare. I was a nervous wreck after drop off, but it was nice to be able to view his progress via the webcams set up throughout the facility. I was able to watch him exercised throughout the day both inside and outside. After three or four visits, we've seen his confidence build around other dogs. We'll continue to visit since the daily price, and facility, can't be beat. Plus he always comes home good and tired.

Becca was great in resolving the second instance - but in fairness, I said if it happened a third time you've lost us - and now here we are. The third time (8/8), we even put the cash in an envelope with our dog's name (as instructed)...and we're still getting "where's your payment" texts. Great lesson in mismanaging the cash drawer. Textbook ineptitude, and lack of communication between AM and PM shift. Nice work losing a customer...came here after Paws Off Leash closed, time to look again. Ask for a receipt!

My dogs have had very different personalities and needed different training styles (one was not great with other dogs, one is super lazy and stubborn, and the third is a psycho puppy with lots of energy). She has been able to help train each one and she is always helpful when you have any concerns. Her facility has a large indoor space and a HUGE fenced in yard outside. Her employees are wonderful and you can tell how much they love dogs. I can't say enough great things about TAT. The trainers use positive reinforcement which has been amazing with helping create a strong bond between me and my new pup. I also love that the trainers are always willing to stop class to help with a question or to focus more on a certain subject if the class needs it.
