Kori and Jake at Pampered Pooch were absolutely amazing. My dog,who is 15, had a very traumatic experience at her last groomer. They were patient and kind and did a wonderful job. My precious dog will be going to them from now on. You can see the before and after pictures. She can see again and she smells great.

On behalf my bf & I, we thank Pampered Pooch LLC for their quality of care & services for our beloved fur baby. It was a great relief --life changing & worth a money saver! I would highly consider and recommend anyone to Pampered Pooch LLC for any future reasonable, affordable grooming & boarding services. Desperately needed the dog's long nails to be trimmed as it is very difficult to rely on booking an appt. with pet stores/clinics , dealing the dog's separation anxiety & aggressive disposition at times . Kori was our former & trusted pet stylist at Petco ; now she has successfully built her own dog grooming business at her home in Kihei. Nail trim was a quick breeze, with an additional bath & coordinated dog-sitting while we were out working/traveling. As soon as we picked up our dog, he never wanted to leave! Kori was flexible with her schedule and booked me ASAP. She is very skillful & knowledgeable of her expertise. Her and Jake were open to share info. on pet grooming products & needs they may have used personally with on our dog and their pets. Kori & Jake has both humbly proven their professionalism with their clientele ; and, amazing skills, patience, compassion, care with all breeds of dogs.

We now, finally, have complete peace of mind when we leave the island. Debra is like the dog whisperer of Maui! Such TLC for our four they good family member. He is always so excited to see her, and almost makes us a little jealous ... but isn't this what every loving dog owner is looking for? Debra is our Ohana now and a very important part of our family at that. Such a loving and kind spirit that I'm sure all her dog loved ones can feel. Mahalo Debra!! We love you, Tirza, Bob & Phinney

There is only one of her, and he has a lot of energy so this is understandable. However, her attitude and some of her training methods left me very concerned. My dog is terrified of everything. He is the type of Scooby-Doo dog who will leap in your arms if he hears a strange noise. He is also very weary of new people but has been socialized with other dogs under professional supervised settings his entire life, with no issue. Naturally when he first saw the owner he started to bark. Before I even had a chance to calm him down, she stated that he displayed "alpha" tendencies. This was within the first 30 seconds of meeting him. I attempted to explain that we have worked extensively with a trainer with a doctorate in animal psychology and that was not her assessment at all, but she ignored me, saying "he needs training." She then started talking about how he needs a bark collar. Admittedly these aren't shock collars, but between her use of the term "alpha", the discussion of a bark collar and her comment about "no treats" it suggests to me that her ideas of training are very different from mine. I prefer positive reinforcement, and tools like treats or toys the dog will enjoy, to inspire confidence and trust. Our dog did get to meet the other dogs, and aside from one time when he sharply barked once at another dog, and another time when he was starting to growl while initiating play (totally common in dogs, even Labradors) she freaked out. The owner proceeded to state blatant lies about how German Shepherds are the #1 biters (they're not, Chihuahuas are). As a person who has owned German Shepherds for over 30 years, I take great umbrage at her comments, not to mention that my current dog has no German Shepherd in him whatsoever. TLDR: If the owner didn't want to board our dog, that's fine. But to treat him like a red zone case ready to attack was not okay.
