Thought I'd give them a shot because they could get my dog in today. Was told it'd be about an hour/hour and a half. I was done running errands and got back to the shop a little early, was told he wasn't ready yet. Not a problem. I said I was just back in the area and waiting around. The guy comes out and repeated he's not ready and asked if I wanted to take him home wet. Kind of a rude remark to make when someone's paying for a service. Also his nails are absolutely chopped up and bleeding on both sides. Didn't trim the paw hair, or even trim the dewclaws. First and last time here the owner could use a better attitude as well. read more

Finally, weeks later and painstaking efforts the jerk refunded my monies. Only after my fraud report to my bank. I should have never had to go thru such bs to get my monies returned. My bank was great. But, these Pampered pouch peeps were of little help. Lastly, I recommend any groomer other than these people. I do not believe these people are the original owners. The owner went from strange to scary. Never okayed my phone requests for appt over several months, but would get snotty when I called back to get verification. He said, you left a message; it's fine. So I leave my usual message on a Wednesday for Saturday appt (3 dogs; one clipped) like always. I show up and he comes tearing out of the back room carrying scissors and cussing me out for daring to show up with no appt. When I told him I had left a message he got even angrier and said he was busy and didn't have time to check his voice mails. I was "allowed" to leave the two who needed baths only, but not the other. I took all the dogs and got the hell out of there. That man has issues and I would worry about my dogs in his care. read more

FYI google this place......you will be quite shocked at the info you find out about his business.........animal abuse. And this has been off and on for YEARS! My co-worker sent her old dog there to be groomed and when she got her home the dog would squeal as if in pain and started urinating in the house because she wasn't able to walk out the doggie door anymore. While she was telling me this at work I mentioned to her that a place in Ormond Called Pampered Pooch had previous lawsuits brought against them for suspected animal abuse.....her jaw dropped and tears flooded her face.....that's exactly where she had taken her dog. It took about 3-4 weeks before her dog was pain free and back using the dog door again. Just thought this would be something that others on here should know in case they were thinking about using this business. read more

I had heard good things and decided to finally stop in and give them a try. WHAT A MISTAKE!. i was greeted by a very nice lady and asked about getting my Scottish Terrier groomed. She directed me to another person (man). When he asked if I had the dog with me, I proceeded out front to show him my 8 yr old scotty. He immediately began to laugh boisterously and told me that was not a Scottish terrier. It was "some kind of cross between a ...they only come in black" I then interrupted him and told him that he just lost my business because it was a Scottish terrier. When I tried to tell him they come in several different colors he laughed again and walked away as he said that 'I need help'. I tried to go back inside and tell him that he should educated himself before he makes a fool of himself again but I didn't get out a word before he was yelling at me to get out. I then yelled back, he is right, I do need to leave. I keep thinking of the quote I was taught many years ago. "It is better to be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and prove it." Look up colors for a Scottish terrier, Since I have had this scotty I can not count the times I have heard the doubts and surprises of his color. But I have never had any one laugh at me and insult me about it. Especially at a business where there are supposed to be professionals working! You can bet I will include this incident at the 'Pampered Pooch' the next time I explain his lineage. read more

Stay as far aways from this place as possible. I don't know who wrote the glowering reviews but as far as I'm concerned their both phony. They skinned my precious poodle , ruined her pomp on her head, shaved her body off,never cleaned her feet or cut her nails. Made the mistake of telling them I was a tourist. He charged me 54 dollars to shave my dog! He said the 54 would cover everything... must have taken him all of 20 minutes for what he did. I doubt if he even washed him! If you're going cut off all the hair then why bother? His nails were not cut either... Much of his hair sticks up. This is a guy who is out for a quick buck... he had the nerve to solicit a tip! Said he was protective over his front paws so I should tip his regular groomer well! read more

Don't go, don't go, If you love your dog, take it somewhere else. I went to pick up my male yorkie and he could not keep his front legs underneath him. They kept collapsing and his chin would hit the floor. The man grabed him by the front legs and hauled him up off the floor right in front of me and started pulling on his legs telling me that sometimes their legs come out of the socket!! Really?? I guess so when lifted like that!! I grabbed the doga away and took him for e-rays. They said his legs had been wrenched badly, but not broken. Three months later his legs still give out frequently on him. This man has no idea of how to lift an animal and mine only weighs 6 pounds. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! read more

My groomer had closed and I was looking for someone close. That was my first mistake. I have brought my 7# Pekingese to past groomer for over 2 years and never once did they complain. My Roxy was always so happy to see them. When we walked in here, she actually barked at the owner. I am devasted now after reading the review from Dalynn P. Jim the groomer said she was not well behaved and had upset all the other animals in there & it took 2 people to groom her as she was whining, and peeing all over. Said he would prefer me not to bring her back. You do not have to worry about that ever happening!!! I thought well maybe because it was her 1st time and she was nervous. After bringing her home all she did was try to sit and walked with her tail between her legs. I then discovered she was limping and found her back leg either had her muscle pulled or her hip out of joint. She could hardly even walk to door to relive herself. I had to pick up up and carry her outside. She was in alot of pain and just now after 1 week is starting to act herself again. I am so angry about this as he was blaming her for bad behavior, when I believe it was the groomer/groomers that have mis handled my dog and injured her.
