I dropped my sweet dog off to be watched while I toured Antelope Canyon and asked for a bath and nail trim. When I came to pick him up, I noticed his nail was bleeding, and there was dried blood in between his toes on his back legs. The owner trimmed his nails way too short, exposing the quick on multiple nails. When I told her that she'd cut his nails too short she denied it, then said she shouldn't have cut his nails in the first place. I was so upset to think that I left my dog in the care of someone who hurt him several times over. He was so stressed from the experience and was visibly in pain. Our old senior Golden retriever Sam accompanied us on our spontaneous trip to Page. We were so relieved when we found Shelly! My first job as a teen was working for a pet resort, so I was aware that a lot of pets get stressed when left in a facility like this because they don't know what's going on or when their family will come back. Please do not have unrealistic expectations to not have any dogs barking at a boarding facility. Go anywhere where there's more than 2 dogs and you will get barking! I did tell Shelly that he has never boarded at a facility like this before, and I told her that I am aware that he might get nervous. I am so grateful that she was very patient and compassionate. She even gave him some treats! You can tell that she truly cared about the pets that stay here, and at the end of it all that is all you can truly ask for as a pet parent! My husband and I are so grateful we found this place. We've been road tripping with our rascal elderly dog and for our stop in Page, we had two tours booked back to back. With over 6 hours away there was no way we could leave our dog, Charlie, in the heat. I found Pampered Pets online and they were more than friendly. They're opened 24 hours. Could you believe it? And they were more than reasonable in costs. After 5 hours it's a flat rate. Not going to lie, I was nervous. We never left Charlie at a boarding place before. He's old now and grumpy and doesn't usually care for other humans or animals so I didn't know how he would react. Six hours later, we returned and Charlie was as great as can be! They totally pampered it and I could tell he was very comfortable with them. They know their animals. Charlie had a great day hanging with the other dogs, being pampered and resting. I could not thank them enough with how great they were. If you're visiting the area with your dogs, don't risk their life. Pampered Pets were great. read more

We called to confirm on 3/25/22 but no one answered so we left a voicemail asking for a return call. Upon arriving on 3/26/22 at 8 AM, the previously agreed upon time, no one was there despite it being "open 24 hours". We rang the bell for service, entered the building as the door was unlocked, and called numerous time which all went straight to voicemail. After waiting 30 mins, we left and we were unable to do our hike which was already paid for. Very disappointing. Would recommend checking Rover before depending on this place. read more

It took a sec, but I realized it was about 100 degrees outside. They also mentioned they were going to be gone for a few hours. So, $10 per hour to put our dog in a cage in their back yard in 100 degree temperatures to leave and run errands. They've clearly identified they can run up the prices on tourists as the only dog day care business in town. No walking the dogs. No dogs playing together. Just a cage in a back yard in the AZ heat. They should be ashamed of themselves for ripping people off like this. I encourage dog lovers in Page to open up some competition and shut these people down! read more

My husband and I were moving from NY to CA and decided to do a cross country road trip so we could have some adventures with our dog, Charlie. Denver was the 9th city of 10+ that we visited over 3 weeks. Though we took Charlie hiking with us whenever we could, we needed a daycare for Charlie while we did a tour of Antelope Canyon so Page Pampered pets was so convenient and easy! Staff was very nice and friendly, and I appreciated that they kept Charlie inside after getting a bath instead of letting him rough house with the other dogs and get all dirty again. The staff also told me a sweet story how Charlie was very interested in the puppies they were fostering and was being super caring and gentle with them! Loved that they treated him so well and let him nap and cuddle the foster puppies! read more

Saw reservation book on the counter and nope, we weren't listed. Door was open, dogs loose behind gate unattended, rang bell again, still no one. If I could give zero stars I would. I boarded my mini golden doodle here for two and a half days. When we picked her up she smelled like piss and shit. We had to wash her three times in order to get the smell from her hair. The next day she had diarrhea all day. She basically peed out of her butt , and then threw up 3 times throughout the day. Unfortunately this is the only place in town. I left my dog for 4 days. Dropped him off in a 5x5 kennel with his bed, three chew toys, his leash and collar. When I picked him up he was in a crate that was so small he couldn't even turn around and I could tell he had been in there a long while. His toys and collar were nowhere to be found and I ended up leaving without them. As any kennel I would expect it to have some pet smell but the urine smell here was hardly tolerable. I hope I never have to go back. At $50 a day I would expect better service. Seems all that $200 got me was my dog neglected. read more

Last week we got out of our car and there was so much dog barking, I couldn't hear my wife talking to me from two feet away. Inside, the woman yelled "shut up" to momentarily quiet the dogs. Had to find daycare for my pups while visiting nearby Antelope Canyon. The local vet place was booked, so tried here instead. Odd from the start that I wasn't prompted to provide any information about myself or my dogs while making the reservation; all the lady knew was that 2 dogs were showing up at whatever time on whatever day. At drop off, I was immediately greeted by a Bulldog humping another dog behind the counter and a small white dog trembling inside a cage atop a stack of other crates. As this place also lists grooming as a service, the lady was around the corner blow drying a dog and couldn't hear me ringing the bell. Instead I waited and observed the array of clumped dog fur strewn about the floor. The Bulldog then went and urinated on a trash can. Just glancing around at the mess, it pained me to leave my dogs there - I even stepped out to call the vet hospital just in case a last minute boarding spot had opened. To my dismay, I had no choice but to leave them at Pampered Pets. When the lady finally emerged, she was nice but appeared exhausted and overworked. I casually asked questions regarding the place - dogs can be kenneled alone or with a group of dogs; however, come to find out she's the only one working and in charge of the menagerie of dogs left there (including performing all grooming services), so it's highly doubtful the grouped dogs are constantly supervised as they should be. I filled out some paperwork about my pups, handed over their vaccine information, and brought them in. The lady didn't even ask which dog was who or ask anything about their personalities (i.e., are they good with both large and small breeds, etc). I must admit I was very stressed leaving my dogs behind. I was worried about the lack of sanitation, the lack of confidence in supervision of the dogs on a hot day and amongst a pack of others they were meeting for the first time, the lack of personnel helping to work the business, and the lack of interest in learning about my dogs' personalities or limitations. At pick up, the lady appeared even more disheveled - must have been a long day. One of my dogs was a mess - her coat was soaked and she was covered in dirt head to toe. She was very antsy to leave, which is unlike her, as she is very social and loves to play with other pups at daycare. At the end of the day, we enjoyed Antelope Canyon and got our dogs back in one piece - hence the 2 stars as opposed to 1. However, I would never board my dogs here again if I had any choice in the matter, and would not recommend others to do so either unless some serious changes are made with this business. read more

Pros: - Called ahead, friendly person answered the phone, and they were flexible in accommodating my schedule/need. - Close to tourist spots. Cons: - Own a stray/rescue requested that she not be mixed in with the other dogs being groomed/watched since she has anxiety which sometimes yields a defensive behavior with other dogs. When I picked up my dog she was let out with the other dogs (including a very large dog) instead of simply getting her from the crate and handing her to me ugh... I was also told that the groomer did in fact let my dog socialize with the other dogs....not even sure why I requested something if they ended up making the decision for me. - Wasn't impressed with the overall grooming results compared to what my regular person does in Phoenix. - I asked to have my dogs ears cleaned up, but these seemed to be left untouched, instead they shaved down her tail and made it look really odd. Also, it seems they shaved her body, but it turned out patchy and uneven. - When I picked up my dog the person at the desk almost accidentally and forcefully (my hand was luckily near the door to quickly push it back) closed the door on the big dog that was there. I understand accidents happen, but this left me the impression that they are not acting consciously with their actions. - My dog had a few small cuts on her back. I only noticed these a few days later when I felt scabs. Seemed like it might have been from a clipper (one scab was about the size/shape of the standard clipper blade). Note: The other grooming shop is next door. I don't believe there are any other options in the area. Also, I was never asked about my dogs history/background medically or socially. I would be concerned if you are bringing a younger dog here and they are not checking for vaccines, etc. read more

We take Suma everywhere we travel, except Antelope Canyon since it's not allowed. So great to have found Shelley at the last minute and was able to check Suma in with her care. All the dogs there are happily zooming around and you can tell they have fun there rather than sitting in a pathetic pet hotel. Shelley gave my 4 lbs Maltese special care due to Suma's hip condition. Suma was either on her lap or in a super sized cage while Shelley had to attend other dogs. We felt ease leaving my baby with her. Great experience for us and Suma. read more

Shelley offers boarding, pet sitting, and quick grooming services. She does a great job on our dogs and usually takes about an hour. Easier on dogs when grooming, to have quick turnaround. If you have specific grooming instructions, you can write them down or text to her. We have a very difficult little dog and Shelley has been able to groom this dog. Our other dog is ShihTzu and I like his face, chin, legs, feet, and unmentionables trimmed very close. Best groomer in Page, by a long shot. read more

Shelley was hired by my parents to watch two cats. My parents were going to be gone six days, but Shelley only had to come over once or twice. She NEVER came. My parents cats were by themselves for six days. Who knows how long their food and water bowls were empty. Shelley also never contacted my parents to tell them she could no longer do the job she was hired to do. She claims she forgot. How do you forget how to do your job?? So unacceptable. I know living in a small town limits who can take care of your furry family, but I would recommend finding someone else who will actually care about your animals. read more

HELD UP! Made appointment months in advance to leave our Aussie (toy). Quoted $18.00 for half of day. She was very scared and the lady said she'd take her and keep her from bigger dogs. When I picked her up I was told it was $50.00 that she charges $10.00 an hour. That the vet and animal hospital has who charged the $18. but they had to stay in crates. My Little Girl was wet dirty, smelled so awful we had to keep Windows down all the way (278 miles) home. Before we started the truck we gave her a drink as she kept getting at her bowl. She drank a whole bowl of water like she hasn't had water in a month. I had to take it away for she was drinking so fast and so much I was in fear she'd make herself sick. I'd had no issues with the $50. Except I was told she'd be kept away from bigger dogs which she is afraid of and that the lady and her would cuddle up and watch TV. That didn't happen as her condition and filled she was return to me more then proved she was thrown in with the pack. I do not recommend this place. I felt she high jacked my baby raising about almost three times more and threw her to the wolves. She'd just had a bath the day before. Never in her year and a half has she been so dirty or smell and never so thristy. read more
