Although I was skeptical, I made an appointment with Dr. Amy Zhang, a certified acupuncturist in Highland Park IL. Dr. Zhang was born and well-trained in China where her parents both practiced acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. She is U.S. licensed in acupuncture. She is very caring, kind, and conscientious. She adapts her treatment to patients' needs. She specializes in pain treatment but also can help with other medical problems. Her office is small in size, but she is highly effective and I recommend trying her services.

She was so friendly, warm, and intuitive. It was my first time seeing a chiropractor, I was slightly nervous and def had many misconceptions about a chiropractor. She is very knowledgable. During the session, she applied gentle pressure and pointed out some tight spots, which with some manipulation, felt much better after. I was pleasently surprised. She kept checking the baby to make sure it was moving and that she wasn't making me uncomfortable. I've had over a dozen sessions with her and she has helped me overcome a host of issues I've struggled to deal with for a very long time like my insomnia and bronchitis. She's also great at recommending supplements and herbs to help boost my immunity during this crazy winter season. I schedule with her when I'm dealing with a nagging problem or when I am in dire need of stress relief. Lisa has a knack for sensing these things and knows how to keep me calm to let me know that everything will be alright. At her facility, Lisa always takes her time to get to know her patients. You are a name and not a number. She cares about what you are going through not just physically, but mentally and tailors a personalized treatment plan on a holistic level. Every time I leave her facility, I feel at peace with myself, feeling relaxed and reinvigorated. Looking back, it was the best move I could make to enhance my overall health and well-being. I've experienced the following complementary treatments with my acupuncture like Gua Sha, Reiki and Electro acupuncture; all have helped me in some way to revitalize and restore my (Qi or Chi) energy. Not only is Lisa an experienced licensed acupuncturist but I also found out that she's an astrologer! I own a few astrology books and was always interested in the field. A few weeks ago, I purchased an hour long personal natal chart reading from Lisa done on Zoom. It was truly an eye opening experience and she went into great detail about my personality and delved into the many planetary facets that make up who I am. My personalized reading also gave me insight into how the planets are going to affect me in the year ahead which I found to be very fascinating. Lastly, patient safety and health is the utmost concern at this time. She is very fastidious in keeping her treatment room sanitary and she requires all patients to wear a mask as she too wears one. Temperature screens are done at the entrance and the extra precautionary measures made me feel safe overall. Parking is plentiful in the free lot next door and her hours are accommodating to the 9-5 folk on select weekdays and weekends. I highly recommend her if you need acupuncture or if you are into astrology.

I came back to acupuncture after having a miscarriage to heal and hopefully get pregnant again in February of 2025. Christina talked me through everything - supplements, acupuncture cadence and benefits of cupping and infared sauna. I took the supplements as directed and came in 8x a month, with occasional adjustments to my membership. I will never forget joining in a sound bath at Vitality Wellness in the first month and laying underneath the wall of babies Christina helped bring to this world. I prayed I would have a little one of my own to join the wall. By June of 2025 I was pregnant! And came in regularly every month to be supported by acupuncture and cupping. I was a high risk pregnancy due to preexisting conditions but my little girl and I were completely healthy throughout the entire process. She was welcomed into the world in February of 2026 - exactly 1 year after I started my journey again back at Vitality Wellness. Postpartum I have felt amazing and continue to see Christina. I genuinely attribute the investment into my mental and physical well being was a huge factor in my successful and healthy pregnancy and birth. Thank you so much for all of your support, Christina. I'm so grateful my little one is officially on the wall of babies!

The pain was so intense, immobilizing, plus normal OTC pain killers did very little, and there was no position that offered relief. In the past after "over doing" it a little rest I was good to go. After four days of taking it easy it was worse. On recommendation of someone with more chronic back pain I called Center for Musculoskeletal Care and was able to get a appointment to be evaluated by Dr Pys. The evaluation was thorough and used non-invasive technology to get a precise map of issues with my back/spine. The technology also clearly tracks the efficacy of the treatment(s). The practice is a wife / husband team who are as friendly as they are professional. They immediately began a treatment plan (with some homework) to target my issues. I felt some relief on the first visit but with each successive visit (and being "somewhat" diligent with my homework ) I was back to normal very quick. I plan to schedule more sporadic appointments for preventative maintenance as this makes sense to me to track condition and tune-up as needed. Hopefully this keeps my back pain behind me as it were! They requested that I come in 2x a week for my treatment plan which was not feasible for my schedule. Each time I went in for a visit (we eventually agreed on 1x a week) I would be berated about how I was not coming in for appointments often enough and that they could lose their good standing with insurance. This occurred every single time I visited and it got to the point where I asked if this was how they treated all of their patients because I do not believe they could be in business if so. I am 30 years old and on my most recent (and last visit) I was essentially yelled at and told that I am no longer welcome unless I schedule twice a week. I was told to not take it "personally" and opted to walk out of the office as I was being yelled at because there's zero reason I should be subjected to this type of behavior as their client. They are unprofessional, rude, and not flexible.
