Exceptional experience with Scott. We hired Scott to repair an, Asian motif, solid wood bedroom set. There was serious damage to the original, highly custom stain finish on the dresser and a nightstand. Scott showed up to return the repaired furniture precisely on time on the promised completion date with the dresser and the nightstand. When he set it back down in the bedroom alongside the rest of the bedroom set, he acknowledged what we already new. The color was slightly off and the shine did not match. He immediately announced that he was taking the items back to his shop to achieve perfection. He returned the next day and the repairs were, in fact, done to perfection. As if that wasn't enough, while he was returning the furniture, I asked him about a small damage to our laminate wood flooring. He made the repair on the spot and did not ask for any additional money. FOR US THERE IS NO ATTRIBUTE OF GREATER IMPORTANCE THAN KNOWING THAT THE PERSON OR COMPANY THAT WE ARE DOING BUSINESS WITH WILL ALWAYS MAKE THINGS RIGHTS, IN THE EVENT THAT IT DOESN'T INITIALLY TURN OUT EXACTLY THE WAY WE WANTED. This is the same reason why we almost exclusively do our online shopping with Amazon. For the last 19 years, including several thousand transactions, they never failed to make things right whenever there was an occasional problem. Scott also exercised prudent care in protecting our floors and ensuring that nothing was damaged when carrying the furniture in and out of our home. I have a well over 100 year old 4 poster mahogany bed. my yound daughter was using the suit in her room and one day the bed collapsed. thehead board and foot board legs on one side were split badly. was afraid I would have to toss the bed. But I spoke with Mr. Palmer about it and showed him some pictures of the damage and said he could fix it, I was very relieved. but had no way to get him the bed in my car, he came and picked it up from my house! about a week later he called and the bed was ready so I went and checked the repairs and was giggly with satisfaction. he then delivered the bed back to my house. and it was only $100 for fixing it, that was not super cheap for most people, but at the cost of losing it to the dump it was very WELL worth it! they do very nice work and are a great bunch of people. My husband has a cedar chest that is a family heirloom and in his family for many years. I set a bottled of cleaning liquid on top of it and the bottle leaked, damaging an area of the chest. I called around and either got no response or a ridiculous quote to get the piece refinished. I spoke to Mr Scott Palmer and he came to my house in Matthews NC...all the way from Lancaster SC, picked up the chest on a Monday and returned it the following Friday. I am amazed at how beautiful the chest looks..just like brand new. Not only did Mr Palmer and his son refinish the entire piece but they repaired a large crack that ran the entire length of the chest. Palmer's Refinishing was absolutely exceptional throughout the entire process. From the initial consultation until the end of the project they did exactly what they said they would do. We were told our kitchen would be completely out of commission for two days as panels and drawers would be finished offsite and installed two days later. Our job ended up being a little more involved and rather than extending the initial schedule the guys worked until 11:30PM to make it happen.
