Richard we purchased approximately $60 worth of products on this particular visit. When we went to check out our cashier person was very impersonal. No smile, no did you find everything, no thank you for shopping with us today, absolutely no recognition of our patronage to that particular store. I later found out that that particular individual was the shift manager. Name was Jonathan. Not sure I'll patronize that store anymore as I do have other options. Very disappointing.

Today there was one of these guys near a restaurant I was patronizing so I stopped in. I immediately regretted it! 1st Impressions- As soon as I opened the door my brain said "disorganized!" I immediately said to my self the I wasn't going to buy anything there. My 2nd impression was lack of cleanliness. It wasn't filthy by any means, but it wasn't clean either. I walked up and down one aisle and decided enough was enough. Customer Service- I was greeted very pleasantly and genuinely but that wasn't enough to save this place. Their pleasant employee earned them a reluctant two stars, but I'll stick with my DG's thank you very much!

I strapped that baby on and moseyed on down to check it out! Arriving- It's on Avon Park's Main Street about a minute from US Route 27 and simple to find. There is a small parking lot complete with easy access for those needing a handicapped spot. Ambience- This is one of the most beautifully merchandised stores I've seen in some time. It's spotlessly clean and meticulously arranged. It was a true pleasure to wander around and check everything out. My pictures do not do it justice! Customer Service- I was greeted by a delightful young lady who expertly answered all of my questions. Unfortunately, she was unimpressed with my giant Yelp belt buckle, but I didn't hold that against her! Product- You come here for western clothes and accessories. Hats, boots, belts, shirts, and jeans. It's all there and so beautifully organized, it's easy to find your size. I'd say they are a mid-priced store. See my pic for some beautiful shirts that were on sale for $39. These folks are owned by locals, and I always appreciate that! If you are blowing through Highlands County and in the market for Western wear, you'd have a great experience here!

I had built up a list of about ten tasks and it was time to do something about it. My neighbors all swore this guy walks on water, so I gave him a call. He perused my condo and assured me that everything was doable and should be no problem. He was booked for about ten days, so I had to wait a bit. Once he got going I was hugely impressed. His attention to detail was outstanding. His communication skills with me were spot on. The fit & finish of everything he did was impressive and when he cleaned up everything was immaculate. Note- He lives in North Highlands County and generally works in the Central and North parts of the county. He might be enticed to travel a bit more if the job is large enough. I would go above five stars if I could; he's that good!

The first thing you see is the huge display of cowboy boots along with jeans and leather belts. Oh, it's a cowboy store you think. But wait, there are no Stetsons but there is row after row of unique ball caps. What? Then you see a big display of Yeti products. You know them, right? They do wonderful high-end coolers and insulated cups. You read the sign and discover they paint and customize the Yeti cups. Wow! Then you see more clothing, much of it with Florida related logos. What is this place? The closest I can come is that it's all about unique items for the Florida lifestyle and it really is worth a stop. If you are blowing into Highlands County, stop on in and then grab a bite at one of several Main Street eateries. It's a nice way to get out of the heat!

Location- With so many buildings it can be a little overwhelming. Let your GPS do its thing along with the picture I posted, and you'll have no trouble spotting it. Plenty of easy parking. Time Commitment- This is a small museum. Ninety minutes and most folks will be done. What to Expect- As the name suggests, expect the focus to be on Florida including the artists. It's a great way to learn about this wonderful state! Cost- Every time I have been here it has been free with donations requested. Hours- Extremely limited. Check first before you go. This is not a "Destination" location. It's the kind of place you visit when you are in the area and have a few minutes. Yelp will give you plenty of places for lunch within five minutes of here. What a great place to walk off that huge platter of Gator Bites & giant pitcher of beer!

My parents moved here 30 years ago as it was just being built. I moved here permanently 2 1/2 years ago to take care of my elderly mother. I was the relative that was willing to step up which is so common here in Central Florida. Casa is in the far northern part of Avon Park. It is known for its seclusion and the peace and quiet associated with that. It is NOT a 55+ community however most of the residents are over 55. The first thing you notice when you enter is the attention to curb appeal. This is a beautifully maintained property whose landscape contractor has been the same for many, many years. The property is covered with dozens of palms and live oaks. There are just under 100 units in 37 buildings. All units are two bedrooms and two baths. Each has an enclosed patio and a linai/porch that is either screened or glassed in. Most of the units include a 1 1/2 car garage with the 1/2, of course, for your golf cart. A few units have a slightly smaller garage. Rivergreens golf course is just across the street. This is a lakefront property with its own dock for your boating pleasure. The beautiful landscaping is supported by an automated sprinkler system fed by multiple wells on the property. This includes the beds in the enclosed patios. Residents enjoy a large clubhouse, year-round heated pool, shuffleboard and tennis courts. Several social activities are offered each month. The property is managed 100% by volunteer residents and has been since it's inception. This makes the HOA fee a very good value! The very low cost of living in Highlands County contributes to the terrific value of ownership here. I'm wonderfully comfortable here and look forward to many, many years of five star living!
