Looking back now, choosing Vista Lago was one of the best decisions we made because they made the entire process feel so easy, seamless, and genuinely enjoyable from beginning to end. One of the biggest highlights was having a day-of coordinator INCLUDED in the package. Since she works directly with the venue, she knew absolutely everything top to bottom -- the timeline, vendors, setup, flow of the evening, and every behind-the-scenes detail. We never had to answer questions, solve problems, or stress about what came next because she already had everything handled before we even thought about it. We truly got to be fully present and enjoy our wedding day. The staff also went above and beyond all night long. They continuously brought us hors d'oeuvres, drinks, dinner, and cake so we actually got to enjoy all the amazing food during the wedding. At the end of the night, they carefully packaged all of our leftovers and even saved the top of our cake for us before we left. Those thoughtful details meant so much to us. The venue was beautiful, the service was incredible, the pricing was fair, and there were no surprise fees or last-minute issues. Everything was transparent, organized, and handled with so much care. I visited them and had a consultation with Ana monthsss before my wedding, picked our linens, gave her a copy of our layout (I was awfully specific with everything) and after than found it incredible hard to get a confirmation on the cost and availability. I kept leaving messages and nobody would get back to me. The rep from JW Marriott got involved and when I finally was able to talk with Ana again (about 2 weeks before my wedding) she told me that the linens I picked wouldn't work for my layout because the fabric was too thick. ((((AAAAGGGHHHHH)))) Could she have told me that months before when I sent her the layout? It was madness... went back to her store... and finally found something I ended up liking even more than my original selection. From then on the service was perfect but the stress they put me through was awful.

It wasn't one big disaster; it was a thousand little things that showed she simply didn't care. Communication: Leading up to the wedding, she ghosted me. I sent ten emails confirming the menu and timeline, and never got a reply. Now I know why. The Schedule: She arrived two hours late. My guests were standing on the terrace in the heat with no water and no food while she was still unloading her truck. The Decor: I paid for gold chargers and navy napkins to match the ocean view. She set the tables with some clam looking chargers and silver napkins. When I asked her about it, she rolled her eyes and said, "It's what I had." The Food: The dinner was embarrassing. We ordered steak, but it was served ice cold and tough as leather. Half my guests didn't even eat. The Staff: The service was chaotic. My aunt started talking to one of the servers, and the poor girl admitted she had never worked a wedding before and didn't know what she was doing. The Bartender: This is the worst part. The place that was just a few blocks from me had a high delivery fee, and seemed quite expensive. When I checked with Jorge at Rainbow, they were just half the cost! The delivery was scheduled for a Friday afternoon for a Saturday night party. The driver was two hours late, so it was getting nervous, especially as I had not even prepaid. But the driver finally showed up and blamed it on nearby construction and the usual Friday afternoon traffic. The Rainbow truck was large and equipped with lifts in the back, so that one driver singlehandedly delivered 6 tables and what seemed like a boatload of chairs. He asked where I wanted them set up, but instead of setting up I had him put the supplies under roof cover in case it rained. The driver did completely set up the food tables stapling skirting around them, and the tables were then moved under cover in case of rain. The tables and chairs were in very good, clean condition. The table skirts looked like they'd been picked up right from the dry cleaners, packed on hangers and covered with plastic wrap. On Sunday afternoon, the driver called to say he was on his way for pick up. Other than pointing to their items to be picked up, I wasn't needed at all. All in all, the entire series of transactions were speedy, reliable, inexpensive, professional, and painless. I would definitely recommend Rainbow and will use them again!
