Once I got that text I realized I was triple booked that day, I called as soon as I got the text at 9:28 and Jocelyn answered the phone, she then "reminded me" that I must call 48 hours in advanced in order to not be charged a fee.... she's soooo worried about 28 minutes? That's ridiculous in my opinion. I could understand if I called 24 hours before hand and your policy is 48 hours but it makes me question if yall are really hurting that bad you need to worry about a less than 30 minute difference which makes me question if this is where I should really go. She also had a hard time staying within the perimeters I have for scheduling. I drive myself but I also have several other appointments during the week totally anywhere from 4-9 a week. So scheduling can be a little difficult but I gave her between 9 & 1 and for some reason I was still being offered options outside of that. And it's not like I said this several phone calls prior, I say it in every phone call where I set up appointments because I don't expect them to remember between calls but I don't think it's unreasonable to hope they would remember when it was said during this call. I know jen was out sick that day and that Jocelyn was doing her best to cover but jen is the best receptionist I've seen there so far in my roughly 2 years with yall. From what I can tell, an outside perspective she really goes above and beyond not just for the company but for the client too I really appreciate how things have turned around since she has showed up! Alyssa is amazing as well I've never had issues with her or dr. Andrew. I hope less than 30 minutes really doesn't make a difference and Jocelyn didn't charge me that visit, I just find it very odd that I'm almost being scolded over less than 30 minutes especially when I called as soon as I received the text from yall.

The staff works with each person depending on their needs as to how long your sessions last. I am a meat & potato person so I had to learn how to eat healthy food. Over all the food was very delicious. Here you can enjoy the company of the others at meal time in the cafeteria or the recreational room. One more piece of advice: stay away from Banner Rehab Hospital. It is best described as a prison, Zero being with any other people, you eat in your room alone, company is in your room, pets are in your room only.; enough said.

In my perspective it was neglect from the nurse. CNA's were not doing oral care for my father three times per day as ordered. His mouth was filled with gunk when he was admitted into ICU he had a swallowing exam it was awful.

We had high hopes about this facility since it was recommended by the hospital. Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. Every time my wife and my in laws called the phone kept ringing. There are no phones in the rooms. My father in law didn't have an emergency button to contact the staff. He would have accidents and the staff wouldn't clean him. There were roaches in the facility. They took almost a week til they gave him a shower. The staff left him in the shower by himself for 30 mins. A cleaning lady found him by himself and had to contact the staff to assist him back to his room. My father in law actually got worse in the facility. The hospital told my sister in law to take him out and take him to the Banner Hospital. I definitely do not recommend Estrella. The staff is completely careless. It's an unprofessional facility. I am surprised they are still open.

I looked at 8 rehabs for a 2-month stay for my husband. As is typical, you have to work within the…read moreparameters of your insurance plan. The first 5 rehabs I looked at in Phoenix and Scottsdale you can not compare to how wonderful this rehab is. This has beautiful private rooms with an en-suite bath AND a private shower. It's hard for me to believe that the Phoenix and Scottsdale rehabs you had to share a room, many were small rooms and some of the rehabs were very shabby. He will be seen by a nurse practitioner or doctor everyday. He will have PT/OT 5x a day. And the nurses have been amazing. What I notice most is, when you push for the call button you don't wait long for someone to come to help. The ratio is 9 to 1 for the nurses. Every single person has the care you would want and expect for your loved one. I drive 20 minutes to get here and I am happy to do so for the outstanding care he needs and is getting.
