When I come to the outlets we always prefer to come during the week because it tends to be less busy which makes shopping a lot more pleasurable. When I come to the outlet we always prefer to start off shopping in Saks off Fifth, not only for the amazing parking that's available but also for the store itself being that it's a fave of mine! These outlets will occasionally hold a particular event that's in the parking lot such as bouncy houses & such that you can find on their website. The weekends here are extremely busy & parking can be horrendous so unless you're that person who does love to shop with crowds then I'd definitely suggest on shopping here during off peak hours! During the holidays they also do offer Santa visits but definitely book far in advance!

If you would like to do shopping, you will go go conveniently across the street to Tanger outlets. Overall, they do have a lot of entertainment, such as different restaurants, a movie theater, which could use some updates in my opinion, golfing ice cream, and a variety of other restaurants to choose from. Traffic in the area can be hectic, depending on if they have any events going on in the area, but overall, it's a nice area to visit

They also have vendors located around the outskirts of the outlet mall where you can purchase food, desserts, drinks, and other snacks, which is a nice added option while shopping. One thing we do not enjoy is how congested the outlet can become, especially during weekends or when events are taking place in the parking lot. This past Sunday, there was a circus set up in the parking lot, which was very unusual for us to see since circuses are typically held in larger open spaces or fields. In addition, there is construction happening in certain parts of the parking area, making parking spaces tighter and traffic more difficult to navigate. Despite the parking challenges, once we found a spot, we were able to shop around comfortably for the items we were looking for and leave accordingly. The outlet offers a wide variety of shops and is conveniently located right across from the Westgate Entertainment District, making it easy to spend the day enjoying the area.

Well-stocked store, but few employees on the floor. Terrible customer service…read more Why is that? First time that I tried to contact the BX, the phone rang 6-7 times and the call was disconnected. I mentioned this to the individual running one of the cash register and was told that they have some problems with their phone system (2021). The same "problem" exists today (2025) -- and the problem is still not "fixed." Granted, the phone would probably require the time of busy employees, making them less productive... but I believe the phone system has been programmed to not ring. Sounds preposterous, but the phone system has had the same problem for more than four years -- which is equally preposterous. Call any department in the store and this is what happens: nothing. As the exchange is operated by a civilian contractor, saying anything to base military personnel in Headquarters is useless. I was referred to some office 8n Washington, DC and it took seven months for them to respond to my written complaint. This is more than inconvenient: if there are any problems with a purchase, I have to drive a 104 mile round-trip to speak with a live person.

During my recent visit to the Luke Exchange, I encountered several operational challenges. Multiple…read moredepartments were closed due to staffing shortages, and there appeared to be very few employees available throughout the store. The self-checkout kiosks were overwhelmed, resulting in long wait times, and customer service was understaffed, with one employee managing multiple areas. Additionally, technical issues with gift card transactions required further assistance at another register. Product availability was limited, particularly in children's clothing and footwear, while some items, such as men's shoes and electronics, were overstocked with swingle products. Attempts to contact the firearms department and customer service by phone were unsuccessful, as calls went unanswered. A totla of 8 calls today, went uinsawered. Let me guess...two people called out so they had to close the store. Overall, the store experience was disappointing due to insufficient staffing, poor inventory management, and a lack of customer support. I recommend considering alternative shopping options until improvements are made. #1. Department closed #2. No Subject Matter Experts, and in fact, was told incorrect information. Luckily, I had AI to help me get the answer. I also had to return an item that was suggested on my last visit, making us make the four-hour trip to Luke. #3. 23 total people in line, during lunch, with the military having priority. We had to hand clothes over the top because we couldn't fit both cars in the tiny area. #4. Customer Service had 9 people in line, so our waiting time was 27 minutes in total. OH, the kiosks kept needing an agent to intervene, so 5 times, we had to wait on this poor kid who was working multiple areas. #5. Nobody to help people with checkout, so this poor older lady, who had a disability, could barely figure out the kiosks, so again, the kid up front kept being pulled between multiple departments. #6 Power zone had nobody in the back; they had 9 monitors of one item, but then none for others. If you need a TV, go there; they have way too many. No SME to help, so bring your smart AI to get answers. #7. One department had to do inventory, so they were shutting down (at 1300 hours). The lady did stay to help me, which I appreciate. #8. They had a surplus of overpriced items that nobody was looking at, but were short on average items. The inventory for kids was atrocious. Did AAFES sell out to expensive brands? Under Armour and American Eagle should have their own stores. It's insane. It's sad, really. I lived on base from 97 2000, and the Exchange was a place where everyone went. It had multiple open cashiers (none now), plenty of items, great prices that people could afford, and outstanding customer service. The only things that were good were the young man working the front, who was bouncing around like a pinball between the front kiosk area and the customer service area. He was the ONLY employee who moved with purpose. If he leaves, that place is sunk. The other was a nice lady who called me back to tell me that the one employee who knows firearms was calling out sick and not to show up. I did call the next day, but couldn't get anyone to answer the phones until 35 minutes after opening. I was told they were closing at 1300, so I wad to basically speed the entire way. I appreciate the other employee for working with me. Sad, very sad, how AAFES has fallen.
