What an amazing place! Although we were primarily there to shop for outdoor plants, a visit to the…read moreladies' room gave me a glimpse of the inside, and I was impressed by the cleanliness, organization, and wide selection of items. I could already see several things I'll be returning to shop for! The primary reason for my positive review, however, is the fantastic customer service we received from Priya. We were there to view plants recommended by our landscape contractor and explore other possibilities. Our contractor will ultimately be purchasing from this location on our behalf, so we were simply shopping the options. That didn't deter Priya from willingly walking us around and serving as our "tour guide" for the recommended plants on our list. She was incredibly knowledgeable, supremely friendly, and genuinely eager to assist--despite the fact that our visit wasn't going to result in an immediate sale. She definitely knew her way around the "yard"--she instantly knew the location of every plant we inquired about. Green Acres is very fortunate to have such a wonderful employee! Aside from the order our contractor will be placing, we will absolutely be returning for future purchases as we complete a very comprehensive overhaul of our yard. The furniture looks great, and there are several decorative items that might find a new home with us! Thank you, Priya--you're a stellar representative for Green Acres!!!

I had a very frustrating experience when purchasing a houseplant from this store. At no point while…read moreshopping did I see any signs stating that houseplants are non-refundable. When I went through checkout, the cashier also did not mention that the plant could not be returned. About an hour later, I returned to the store because I needed to return the plant, and that's when I was told that houseplants are not refundable. The employee pointed out that the policy was printed on the receipt. Unfortunately, that does not help customers because the receipt is only given after the purchase has already been completed. By then, it is too late to make an informed decision. If this policy is important, there should be clear signs displayed in the plant section and at the register. Customers should also be verbally informed during checkout, especially since cashiers can sometimes forget to mention it. Better communication would prevent confusion and save customers from wasting time and money. I am disappointed by the lack of transparency and hope the store improves how it communicates its return policy in the future.

I can't say enough about this place. My first experience with them was about a year ago when I was…read morelooking to redo a small flower bed in my front yard. Not having much gardening experience and being new to the area, the employees at Sperbeck's helped me pick out some plants and mulch that would work nicely. A year later this bed is looking so pretty. This past fall we decided to have our back yard redone as it was basically a patch of weeds (Bermuda grass we later learned) and thorny, mangy rose bushes. Chris came out and spent time doing a design for us and made it clear that we were in no way obligated to use them for the install. To us it made the most sense to have Sperbeck's team install the design. Their crew worked hard for about 2 weeks during December rains to install irrigation and a completely new back yard and as it is beginning to bloom this spring, it is GORGEOUS! We are also taking advantage of their Garden Girls service to tend to our pruning, weeding, and fertilizing. They come quarterly and the price seems very reasonable to me. I recently noticed aphids all over some of our new plants as well as the Bermuda grass starting to reappear. I headed down to the nursery, and once again the employees were very helpful. They stock ladybugs for the aphids and had helpful tips about releasing them and were also able to give me advice on killing the Bermuda grass without killing our new sod. Overall, this is a great local business with knowledgeable employees. The owners who run the landscape design and install side as well are so nice, accessible and responsive. Highly recommended.
