Battalion's equipment sounds solid, and the place is easy to access (plus close to Whole Foods, as an added bonus!). I can't wait to come back. My only push would be to have a bell or something at the front desk. No one was there when I arrived last time, and I had to sit and wait for ten minutes, which cut into my practice slot. They wanted to serve Jamaican food and rum punch with paper umbrellas: an upscale party with island flavor. To create the perfect ambiance for such an evening, I booked this DJ. He was wonderful. We discussed the event several times prior to the big day, he came early to set up and check out the space; and during the event played a fantastic mix of old school reggae, hip hop and soul. Having a live DJ play the perfect soundtrack really made the evening feel special...which led a lot of people to get out their checkbooks and donate to our cause. I hope to find more excuses to host parties so I can book him again.

Six weeks later, I had heard nothing from him. I called him, I emailed him, and I texted him. No response of any kind. Over the next six months, I've tried periodically to get back in touch with him, but I've received no response. At this point I'm concerned that I'll never get my instruments back again--which represents thousands of dollars of loss. I cannot recommend bringing your instrument to Patrick, as there's no guarantee you'll ever see it again.
