They forgot to bill my insurance. They were required to request approval weekly for payment. Ibhad excellent insurance but someone in the being department forgot and when they finally sent away for approval weeks later my insurance company declined payment. They forged documents stating I had failed a breathalyzer. They must have taken my signature from the dialy drug test. I was kicked out on the street within minutes. I was 1700 miles from home. I was lucky and beyond grateful that my mom believed Me and helped Me get into a halfway house. She investigated and found out the truth. I should hVe sued them but o was more focused on finding recovery and connecting with people who genuinely cared about my well being read more

Lifesaver! My 50 yr old, chronic alcoholic brother fell off the wagon again after the passing of our father. He asked me to check him in to a detox program. I reached out to several centers and somehow got an angel on the line with Palm Partners that paved the way for checking my brother in. He cleared it with insurance, he arranged for airport pickup and all I had to do was buy a one way ticket to Florida. My brother has been sober now for one year. He felt that this was the best treatment program that he has been through and there have been several. I can't say enough about the people at this facility. September 27, 2017 I arrived at the Detox center. I was there for alcohol use. in 3 days I will have 1 year sober. I'm reading these reviews and am baffled. I see people complaining of rich girls whining and insurance scams, oh and "condoning getting high while in treatment". I'm going to take a wild guess that none of these people actually saw their commencement, which is unfortunate if true. Detox was not exactly a pleasant experience, but you are detoxing, so it is to be expected. The staff was very helpful with making it as smooth as possible. When I arrived all of my belongings were taken away and I was fed while I waited to be seen by the doctors. You are not allowed to have your belongings until they are searched and steam cleaned(to kill any type of bugs coming in to the building), and then once you get to residential you get your stuff back minus valuables that must be checked out after classes/lectures for the day. I was very lucky to be in when there was a great group of people there. The brotherhood was like nothing else I have ever experienced. The classes/lectures were great and the alternative therapies were great. Never thought I would enjoy Yoga. There was definitely drama there. Impossible to avoid with that many people from all walks of life, its just going to happen. As long as you are actually there for treatment and want to be there for treatment you can easily avoid the drama and the "rich girls whining". After a quick google search relapse is common and between 40-60 percent. I met many people and it was not their first go around with a treatment center. Being there, you could tell the people that were there because they wanted it and the people that were just going through the motions. Stay away from those people and you will be fine. Listen in the lectures, ask questions, talk to your counselor. Do what is asked of you. You are there for you, not to make friends(even though it's a good plus), or impress people, you have to be there for you. I saw people AMA(leave against medical advice), people arguing, and people change. Seeing people change from day 1 to day 14 was interesting. We all kind of come in broken and slowly piece after piece comes back. The transformation is amazing. To sum it all up. There will be drama, stay away from it. Be there for YOU. The staff was great and will do what it takes to help you. You have to shut your mouth and open your ears. Express yourself in groups, if you keep everything in, you will end up in another treatment center if you're lucky. We go so long being numb you have to get that out or you'll be right back at it again. The only con that comes to mind was I was told that ti was not a 12 step program, and it really isn't but 12 steps are definitely involved. Let me tell you I am grateful, and happy to have made this particular recovery center my new home. I will always be cared for, always have behavioral health technicians to check myself against. And I love telling the staff about my many successes in my social and professional life. I am in halfway now... I had many preconceptions about treatment , that it was like jail, and halfway houses were like homeless shelters. I'm lucky I got over those false fears. This place is pretty damn nice! The accommodations are like your own full apartment with a few roommates. They never mix incompatible personalities in one apartment. People here usually becoming good friends with they're roommates, I have friends I met here all over the country. If your looking for treatment , alone and fearful , tired and crying. Please take my word this place will help you. The food served is. I rated by s chef! It's not school lunch style food, I mean we even had lobster Mac and cheese , and deserts, and you can also purchase and cook your own. To much good things I've experienced here. They literally call the cops on me because I needed a help and I was asking for a real Dr at 2a.m. The funny part was after officers showed up and talked to everyone they told the staff and employees if they call 911 for no reason again they will go to jail. Unfortunately we had high hopes for this facility but were disappointed in the end. There really is no "individualized" care, patients seem to be cast into molds rather than evaluated for individual needs. There is a lot of miscommunication among staff, medical professionals and personnel as well. This was also concerning. Families aren't updated with specific information regarding their loved ones progress. Also received the feeling the facility was more interested in our insurance and their pay than the needs of our loved one. All in all, this was a big disappointment. I would take into high consideration reviews of all rehab centers before making any decision to proceed with treatment for the addict. I would definitely stay away from this facility. read more

If you have cancer you don't cure it by yourself. The same goes for underlying issues of co-occuring disorders and substance abuse. They all tie into each other, therefore, Treatment was a key component in saving my life. Ive been in several state funded programs over the years and I always seemed to come out and slowly fall into the grips of addiction time and time again. Then one day my family had done some research on private centers that specialized in all the issues that I had mentioned in the first paragraph. So , like many people do, I was loaded up on a one way plane heading south with no point of return to my old stomping grounds what so ever. I went to a private center that peeled me like an onion in a very structured and rigorous setting. I found out that my depression was brought on by myself as every other unmanageable event that I was wrapped around as well. I wasn't depressed , I didn't need medicine , all I needed was the right questions asked of me so they could get to the bottom of why I was self destructing while everyone else around me loved me. Private, holistic care trauma therapy was the answer for me. This place is an insurance scam. Don't be fooled most of these positive reviews are employees are doing as a "favor " Let start out by sayIng I have never been so deceived in my life. They told me this place was a "dual diagnosis" center but it reality it was ONLY for drug addiction . I was here for anxiety but this place only contributed to it.They hold all your belongings hostage and make you fight tooth and nail to get it bag. They also take all your $ and don't give it back to you . The staff was extremely U knowledgeable I would get different answers to the same question from about every single person I asked. No one knew what was going on. They said there was a gym on campus- there wasn't. I got deceived into coming here,this was the worst experience of my life. This is from admissions AMANDA MARINO. I am not an employee of palm partners nor did I recieve any incentive to write this review. 1) the staff at palm partners truly DOES care for each and every client they encounter. 2) their rules and procedures may seem ridiculous at times but if you cant handle some necessary and simple authority in rehab, then why did you come in the first place? (My personal opinion) 3) to the people complaining about employees in admissions that lied about something: as somebody who was also told a stretched truth about some specifics of the palm partners residence, I can truly say that im grateful for him and doing everything he could to get me to commit to getting on a plane. Even if it meant stretching the truth slightly. 4) Dug McGuirk and Jerry Egan are some very special people. I consider Jerry one of the most intelligent men ive ever met in my life. A little off-the-wall with his unorthodox lectures, but ive never encountered somebody who could explain why I always continued my insane addict behavior. --- I was lost in my addiction and the insanity of this mental illness consistently drove me to abuse substances, even after I had swore so many time I wouldn't continue. --- My point is this: my own thinking and willpower could not get me sober and KEEP me sober. I needed help. When I came to Palm partners the first time I knew i needed help but I didnt give myself completely to the program. I bucked the system and complained about every rule or procedure i didnt believe in. And when it came time to go back to real life, I handled "rules" or "procedures" the exact same way. I eventually relapsed and chose to come back to palm partners specifically. This time I choked down my pride and accepted the stressful things about being in a rehab and put all my energy into focusing on a solution rather than focusing on the problems.
