Trying to resolve the issue was a nightmare, instead of working with me like a professional, the owner chose to argue, deflect blame, and treat me like I was the problem. He even sold me expired tanning lotion, yes, expired and had the nerve to act smug and defensive when I brought it up. I've never met someone more arrogant running a business, and to be honest, I'm not sure he's capable of a clear conversation when he seems so amped up it's like he's straight out of a bad gym ad. Save yourself the frustration and money. There are plenty of other salons in town that won't treat you like trash and won't lock you into sketchy contracts while feeding you expired products. This place is all ego and zero accountability. Total embarrassment of a business. Would rate negative stars if I could.

I am writing this review to express my concern regarding an uncomfortable experience my girlfriend…read moreand I had during a recent visit to Ulta Beauty. While shopping, I picked up a BaByliss blow dryer that I was considering purchasing and was carrying it with me while browsing. At some point, the security tag was accidentally triggered. The security guard immediately approached me and aggressively took the item out of my hands, stating that he would hold it at the front of the store. After this interaction, the same security guard proceeded to follow closely behind me throughout the store. No matter which aisle I went down, he remained directly behind me the entire time. His behavior made me feel extremely uncomfortable and singled out. Because of this experience, I ultimately decided not to purchase the blow dryer. While I did still purchase a perfume and lip gloss, the situation left a very negative impression on me as a customer. I felt targeted and harassed, which made what should have been a normal shopping experience very unpleasant. Due to this interaction, I do not plan to return to this location. I hope that this feedback is taken seriously and that steps can be taken to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience.

I am used to my appointments being 15-20 minutes long because they pride themselves on quick service. My boyfriend and I share a car and we had to go pick up his kids from school before my appointment and then I told them to just wait in the car because my appointment would only be 15 minutes. Easy peasy. Kids wouldn't get antsy or fight and we'd be home by 4:30 (my appointment was at 4). The morning of my appointment I got a call that my waxer was out for the day so I would be with someone else. Which is totally fine with me! Until it wasn't. I got to my appointment right on time, then was told I had to wait a few minutes. Which is fine because I usually have to wait about 3-5 minutes. 10 minutes goes by and my waxer finally came out to take me to the back. I've never seen her before at this location so I assumed she was newer, but I know they train well so I wasn't worried. Finally she starts my wax and it's all going well and she's chatting with me and making me feel comfortable, she is pulling my skin taught so it doesn't hurt and it's going really well! Then she kept going over the same spot, over and over again. Which I know is because she wanted to get all the hairs out, but I felt it getting later and later and I knew my boyfriend and his kids were waiting in the car and I just knew that they were getting antsy. Anyways, she did a great job, but I checked my phone at the end and it was 4:50!!! 4:50?! 40 minutes to do a Brazilian. I'm fine with having a new person, but I would've love to know she was going to take that long for my appointment! That was ridiculous!! And no one even seemed to apologize about it. When I finally was at checkout, I didn't even want to schedule again because 1. I didn't know if I'd want to come back to this location, even though it's the closest to my house and 2. I was now in a rush because my appointment was 35 minutes over what I thought it would be. We had someplace to be and now we were really late for it. I'm really disappointed in my service this past experience. Warn your customers if it's a newer waxer and if they take longer so they can plan better. You are in customer service after all! I won't be back at this location. Be better Mill Plain EWC.
