I called before coming in to make sure there's no wait time and luckily walk-ins are welcome so happy about that: these days you can't go anywhere without an appointment. Lily and Brad were super helpful as it was my first time getting a spray tan. They were really attentive and asked if have an event coming up to help me decide how intense I want the color to be. I'm so glad I went darker. There was plenty of parking and everything was clean. I will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family. read more

The service and accommodations are amazing but only because Brandy creates that for the customer! She is informative, honest, and genuine. I've been coming here for years but she made my day today and I will be back because of her. read more

Long time customer, first time review. You know how most people have their favorite grocer, or gas station...well, out of all of the Palm Beach's, the Newport location is my favorite. All of the staff are great, accommodating, it's convenient, and close to home. I do have to point out how great Brandy and Phoebe are!! They go above and beyond if and when I'm lucky enough to interact with them. Kudos to the Newport store! read more

I am a former customer of Palm Beach Tan, but stopped going because well life happens. I happened to be in the area and decided to drop by this location to ask about remaining services from a previous package I purchased. Brandy not only helped me but she exceeded expectations in providing customer care. She was warm, friendly and helpful and because of this experience, I will go back to this location even though it is not the nearest one to me. Another employee, Layla, was also there. She has the funniest sense of humor and joyful energy. I definitely will be back when I can! read more

Phoebe was so helpful and friendly. Very pleasant and knowledgeable- thanks for a great experience!

This PBT team is fantastic! The girls are always super friendly informative and on point with recommendations. They never have long wait times like other shops and always know people by name which is a nice vibe! Keep up the awesome work! read more

I love the team at this location!! They are always so freaking sweet and never fail to impress me with how clean they keep this location. read more

I wish I could give it six stars! After going to other PBTs, I had to come give my girls some credit. This location literally is the best one by far. What ive learned throughout my jobs, is that customer service is key. After going to the Costa Mesa location, it made me realize why im loyal to my Newps girls. There kindness goes a long way! Love all the beds and even more, the kind staff!! Love you NWPT read more

I had such a great experience here! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming--they explained everything thoroughly and even offered to watch my service animal while I got my spray tan. I'm so grateful for their kindness (wish I had gotten their names!). The machines here are also much better than the ones at the Beverly Hills location I usually go to. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Absolutely love this location. Ianna is the best! She is super friendly, accommodating, informative, helpful, and personable. She is the reason why I gave this location a second chance. Wait times are at minimum 5 minutes. The tanning beds are always clean, spotless, sanitized googles with fresh towels. They have a great selection of lotions. They also have excellent beds to choose from, with up to date bulbs. Hands down my favorite PBT location. Highly Recommend! read more

It's the best tanning salon with the best staff . They are always kind and helpful when need it

Corporate may want to re-train their current "manager" about veracity and how to listen. When this person embellishes (aka lies) PBT will continue to lose clients--some who have been for years. While many of the other salon's staff are courteous and conscientious, this person is not. By the way, what this manager said was "policy" is in fact, not! I frequented other salons and posed this scenario to them and not one staff member substantiated the claim. I trust corporate management will have a talk and a retraining session with this individual and not just believe what she "says" happened. Caveat Emptor read more

Ive been a member for a VERY long time and I'm so sick of the early hours. I showed up at 3:50 and the doors were already locked and closed...if you truly close at 4 you should allow whoever is in the door before then. read more

They are super nice, love the customer service and energy the minute I walk through the door. They rotate me through beds also to really maximize my color tone too. This location is awesome, so happy to visit for my tanning needs. read more

Palm Beach Tan is spewing lies. The website says enjoy your first month free. Then when you click the link, you are prompted to enter your phone number for the promotional text message. The text message says "Enjoy your first month free Sun or Spray... See salon for details." What they fail to disclose is that you have to pay a $20 initiation fee and sign up for a $100 per month package in order to get the first month for free. $120.00 is a very expensive "FREE" month. read more

The staff is nice but they need to update the mystic booth. It's really old. The one at the location on DuPont circle is so much nicer and newer. It also tans you faster because it's not 4 poses. My father died and I had to take care of his estate in another country. I went into the 17 th street store and explained it to them. the said Oh were sorry, you have a good rate so for $7.00 you can keep the rate. I said OK because I wanted to help small businesses. needless to say, the charged my card $7.00 a month and I didn't realize it. I the. got a call that my charge didn't go through ( I hadn't been there for maybe 10 months) so I explained to them that I had been in another country dealing with my father passing. they told me I had to go into the store to cancel. I was upset but I flew back to the US and went into the store and cancelled. I asked " Don't I have a credit? They said Yes $89.00. A few months went by and I decided to go use my credit, when I arrived at the store, they told me I owe another $35.00. I said What, I cancelled my membership months ago. the said I couldn't use my credit until I paid the $35.00. I asked for a customer service number. I called the number, left a message, got a call back and explained my story. It's been 1 1/2 years since my father died. The customer service person said, I owe $35.00 and if I don't pay they are cancelling my account on Sunday. Don't they realize that they will have to report the $89.00 to the state as monies owed or do they not give a sfit about that either. read more

They are swindlers and don't live up to their word. Very dissatisfied member. Overcharged me and said they were going to add a $140 credit to my account (since they claimed it's "impossible" to refund me) and they only added $40 to my account. Go tan in the sun and save yourself the hassle. read more

I'm transitioning from San Fran to Southern California & I've started tanning at Palm Beach a few different ones trying to see which one is better bc I'm honestly disappointed! The websites say there open when there not ... just drove to one and it said OPEN on line! THE SALONS ARE ALWAYS FREEZING... no I don't want to buy a lotion from you anymore bc I can't even put it on in your salon without freezing. I've seen a few dirty beds and the girls come back super quick after they've "wiped" it down . Not to mention their 24 hour tanning policy no other salons operate this way and you end up not being able to tan bc unlike the teenager some adults work. read more

You sign a waiver when you join, then they don't allow you to tan for their maximum of 12 minutes. They make you do 8 then 10, then finally 12 minutes. Their bulbs aren't even that good. I've never seen anything like it, you join a tanning salon for $58 a month and can't even get tanned. Palm Beach is running a profitable SCAM. read more

Even though I dislike this place and have been meaning to cancel my membership and then the manager has been very kind to call me to tell me to come in and try again so I did. And the lady said I could not tan because there was a balance of 40$ but I just went through my statement not too long ago and money was taken out. I've paid for 3-4 months? First month I did one spray tan a month than was lied and scammed to upgrading to unlimited and ive only been there maybe 4 Times max Each time I've had a terrible experience I'm always somehow asking to pay for this pay for that and I go home and check my bank statements and it has already been taken out. I would never use any palm spring tanning company ever again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone else There staff is unfriendly rude and the prices are based on who is helping you. They fluctuates. I would not use this place if you have somewhere to be there has been times that I've gone there and sat there for at least an hour and a half before it was my turn because the lady at the front desk was helping random people that were walking in when I arrive first. Another incident that really upset me is second or third time I went when the lady asked me what scent and bronzer I wanted I said the same as last time would be great and she replied she wasn't the one helping me last time but the lady from the first time told me she'd enter it into the computer so moving forward doesn't matter who is working I would be able to use same colors. It's just not been a good experience I felt like I just wasted all these months of money just for terrible service. I would never come back or even recommend them to anyone else I just called a random tanning place and they were friendly their prices were fair. Very professional Answered all my questions and they do a much better job then the machine for spray tans. read more

Getting a clean, healthy glow from PBT is fine, but Ileana makes going to this location extra special. In fact, on the rare occasion she isn't there, it's a let down. Ileana balances warmth and courtesy with accurate professionalism. Do you want to know the best way to get the result you want? Just ask - she knows how to get you there. When I walk in, she already knows my name and which bed to recommend based on my history. Isn't that what we all enjoy? Going where someone knows our name and our preferences? While others ask my last name, first name and birthdate, Ileana abounds with enthusiasm, not only for her profession, but also for her customers. PBT is fine, but with Ileana - PBT is worthy of five stars. PBT - you have a gem - don't lose her! read more

0 STARS! Horrible as many other reviewers posted, spray tan booth does not work to begin with and when signing up for unlimited tanning they told me things were included then when closing me 10 minutes in they added extra charges and then eliminated a number of additional things which they had told me were included! Bait and switch for a product that does not work! I've NEVER given a bad review to a business! read more

I was weary to try PBT because the prices seemed too good to be true. I signed up for a $15 monthly spray tan account and now I always look forward to my monthly tan! The service is always lightening fast. Shelby has helped me a couple times and she is so sweet! I recommend upgrading your mix with an excelerator for the tan to last a little longer. In addition to barrier cream on your soles and palms, I recommend the little blue booties for extra sole protection. I've had a few orange soles But overall, I highly recommend and it is great value compared to my old place that was $49 per tan. read more

I was so disappointed! I called and spoke to owner on phone and then decided to go in another day and get some additional info from a really sweet girl. It sounded perfect. A certain price for unlimited spray tans monthly. I decided I would think about it and come back. Once I came back to sign up and get started I was told there was an additional fee and it would be a recurring monthly payment PLUS if you want a little darker tan it costs this much and then if you need this other item to keep it longer, blah blah... The talk on the phone and in person first time sounded excellent but once I came in to sign up I asked the owner 'why was I not told of all the additional pricing?' and she said we tell you all that once we give you the tour. Seriously? I felt this was another one of those places that says one thing but does not disclose everything up front. I felt deceived. I walked out. read more

Absolute worst tanning experience holy hell. $47 for a single spray tan in a machine that didn't work and I am not tan at all. The girl leaving the booth before me told the front desk it was faulty, she said she'd look into it, and as soon as she left, the employee looked at me and said "idiot" and then lead me to the room. It's been 24 hours and I'm pale as shit. This is the absolute worst spray tan I've ever gotten and I'm honestly pissed off. Pissed and pale; what a combo. I would pay more $ to never tan here ever again. What a frickin waste of money. Please refund my $47 so I can go elsewhere omfg. read more

Palm Beach Tan - the palest thighs I've ever seen... im fkin Italian. - Skin Care Near Me - Newport Beach, California

Be very careful going to this salon. I came in for a promo deal and there is a hidden cost associated with every service here. I don't think it's the girls fault who works here but 2/5 customers who came in while I was waiting were upset for some reason or another. Red flag. The girl told me about the different first time deals they had and after telling her which one I wanted she told me I needed a physical coupon for that. Ok, so why tell me about them in the first place? I finally opted for the 2 weeks of free tans deal redeemable through yelp. I signed up through text and then again through email, no coupon was sent to me. They finally just set me up anyways only to tell me they don't sell small packets of lotion. So they wanted me to buy a whole bottle which is a bare minimum of $30. Ok no, so I said let's go with the free spray tan. This girl pulls out a board and tells me to pick an option. I pick one and she starts picking my colors to mix together (I guess they do that for their spray tans here) and pick a scent. THEN she tells me that will be $25....uhhhm excuse me? So I said no I want the free spray tan we talked about. Then she gives me some spray tan terminology and basically says the free tan is the equivalent to spraying black on you? Huh? And that she wouldn't recommend it. Needless to say I spent at least 20 minutes and finally left. Good times. read more

ALL BARE TAN CLIENTS READ: I use to be a bare tan client, until the salon closed down, and I discovered palm beach tan. The girls are so much nicer, the bulbs are so much stronger, the spray tan machine is up to date and sprays perfectly. Their prices are a little bit different but I think it's more affordable and you get more bang for your buck. They are without a doubt the best tanning salon I've been to. I've been tanning for about 4 years now and I thought I knew everything about it. Until they educated me on skin care, product, what beds would suit me best, etc. 10/10 recommend!! read more

My husband and I thought it would be a good idea to get a base tan before our vacation. We tried this place since it was closer to where we live now and they were offering a promotion. We should have just driven further to Rockstar. Overall below average customer service. Girls didn't seem like they knew what they were talking about. They just push for getting a membership. One day something cost this much, next day something different and then the following day it is no longer an option. Small salon and always a wait during peak hours. Plus, they don't have 2 of the same beds. If you plan going with a friend, don't as you will be waiting forever. read more
