Customer service went really well, the beds are always clean and usually always open and available

I went in on Wednesday, April 22. I had the pleasure of meeting three very knowledgeable, kind girls. I had many questions they had all the answers. I went in a bit hesitant because I have all the equipment to tan myself. I wanted to treat myself instead of having a family member help me spray tan because I can never reach the backside. The girls made me feel very comfortable and we had a great conversation about the Clovis Rodeo that is coming up. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for three months unlimited. I went last night to go in the tanning bed, I always do 5 minutes. This skinny blonde girl decided she thought I needed 7 minutes and everyone was telling her no do 5 and she still did 7. I am BURNT and in so much pain. I can't wear a regular bra. Please figure out who this was and tell her to learn how long customers need. I knew I shouldn't have been in long considering it's my first time back since summer. read more

I came from palm beach tan in Ness and First. I was so bummed that they closed cuz it was close to me...been going to that place for years, so I started going to the one on Friant.... I joined last year. I put my subscription on hold for the summer at the staff's urging because when I started back up, that money was supposed to be credited to me. Fast forward to this year. The location is now closed due to some electrical issue and their new location is months away and far from my house. I asked them to refund the money I had paid to keep my subscription inactive. I was told too bad. Apparently, I should have know that electrical issues would be an issue. So, thanks for nothing. I am now out $60 and they don't even care. Zero stars. Do not recommend. I filed a better business bureau complaint, talked to a manager, and all I've gotten is "too bad". Don't join this place. Worst tanning salon in town. Always a huge line, front desk is a mess and the beds themselves are not it. The worst part about this place is the 24 hour rule, which I get is not the girls working there's fault but like really? Do not waste your money here! I called in and put a hold on my membership because I was not going to be in town- Two months I asked to hold it..... I went in on May 1st to renew my membership... The gal (red head) in front of all of the other customers, told me I had to pay $387 to renew my membership. "We don't take cancellations over the phone" - I was already out of town and that was not possible. I called in beginning of FEBRUARY. So- I tried calling the Palm Beach customer service- Took them 8 days to finally get back to me. Said I will only have the pay HALF of the $387.00. I have spent A LOT of money there over the years, especially on lotions & the membership. They just want your money. They don't care about customer service. read more

Clovis and Herndon location is really not the best. Not sure how the Fresno location is, but every time I come to the clovis there is one specific girl who is very unfriendly. It's gotten to the point of where I almost stopped going and wasted 85$ on a one month membership. My second to last day tanning I walked in and asked if I had 2 days left and she goes "I assume so." That's a yes or no question and you have my information and can let me know and don't have to give me attitude about it. I also will walk in and she won't greet me and will just walk away and so I'll be standing at the front just waiting for her to return. I'm always polite and say thank you and I feel like it's taking everything in her to say "ur welcome" back. Not sure what I could've possibly done to her to get treated this way and not sure why everybody else that works here is friendly besides her. The bed is also dirty and has smudges in it every time I come in and this is the only place I've ever tanned at where I've gotten a white stripe down my backside. I sadly will not be returning here ever which stinks because they're the closest place to my house. The high cost and poor service is enough alone to keep me from coming back. On top of that you can only tan every 24hr which they say is CA law but every other place in Clovis / Fresno does not have this requirement. Also don't bother replying to this asking me to email you, I can tell how much you care based on how you've copied and pasted the same response to everybody who's given a 1 star review to this poorly ran establishment. read more

This used to be the place to go until it underwent new management and service has gone downhill very quickly.. Sad to see a company hire someone that didn't know the business. She has run every good employee they had off due to her insecurity.. I asked for a manager to contact me when I canceled my membership and she cowardly had someone from another district respond. This salon has been closed for months! I spend $100 a month and have not been able to use it. Also, they changed their mystic spray tan formula to the palm beach formula. When they took over from sensational tans, and the formula is terrible! Other than that, staff is nice, salon is clean, I just want the Clovis salon to open back up read more

If I could give negative stars I would but unfortunately I have to give 1 star. I have been tanning at Sunsational Tans for 20 years and never had to wait 24 hours in between tans. That rule is absolutely ridiculous!! Everyone has different work schedules and to have to wait for 24 hours is a complete joke! Not to mention the waiting times before you can tan... it's is completely stupid. When Palm Beach Tans took over I was told nothing was changing. Well in my opinion the 24 wait rule is a MAJOR change! If this company wants to keep loyal customers they may want to rethink the 24 hour rule! I'm definitely looking into going somewhere else for sure! read more

It really sucks that this is the closest tanning salon to my house. Time and time and time again, these little kids who are in charge of front desk have no clue how to manage more than customer at a time. The line will continue to grow, and yet they're still spending all their time, energy, giggles on selling that one single packet of tanning lotion to the lady who has no interest. Opening several bottle of lotion, smelling, tasting, god know what else while people are just wrapping around the lobby or storming out. I've seen this happen a gazillion times. GET IT TOGETHER, hire better people. Or learn how to operate the little computer next to the one you're using to let these poor people in who just sit and wait. read more

I'm a Palm Beach Tan member in Scottsdale, AZ, and frequently visit my family in Clovis. First, the girls behind the desk were outstanding with answering my questions and very sweet girls! Ellie is the one who checked me in with a smile and explained the add-ins to me because I only use the Versa Spa in Scottsdale. Nadia is all very helpful and nice. I was shocked to reach previous reviews. I almost didn't come because I didn't want to deal with the comments in other reviews but I'm so happy I came and had a fans experience . I did have to wait 3 or 4 min but that is to be expected anywhere you go. I do hope that this Palm Beach tan adds the Vera Spa. Considering how busy this location is, it should be able to support the nicer machine. But the mystic spray tan is still a good machine! Thank you! read more

This place is great!:) I've never had any real issues! And I loved my spray tan... I hadn't gotten one in like 5 years and it lasted a good amount of time and the color was super pretty:) only complaint is I wish they had more beds available for bigger package :) other than that no issues! What a bad experience. Went for a spray tan before vacation. How does a tanning place run out of the dark option? So I settled for the medium and went in, got ready but the booth won't come on. Had to get dressed and return to the lobby. Turns out the girl forgot to turn the machine on. Never apologized but now the machine worked ok. The staff is horrible and I will not return! read more

I tanned there when it was Sunsational Tans and shared a points package with my husband. When it transferred over to new ownership, all the points were placed under my husband's account. After three weeks of trying to get the points split in half so I can tan too, I have finally given up. Front desk staff kept saying the manager would take care of it and never has. Both employees were very helpful. The young gentleman was very polite and walked me through explaining the different types of beds and plans. The young lady helped me with a tanning lotion explaining the difference. I have to say I was a bit skeptical going in after reading some of the reviews about service. I'm only in Fresno for 1 day but a regular member at another location. Came in for 1 quick session. Whoever the girl is working on 8/31/19 @12:30pm is absolutely horrendous. She asked for my regular location's store code. Shouldn't this be something she handles? She then proceeds to open a store code list and looks through TX locations, though I was clear I'm in CA. I ultimately had my husband call my store to get her answer. I told her I want a level 3 bed. She walked in on another lady tanning then came back to say the bed would be ready in 3 mins. The bed I ended up in (room 14) was a disaster. Some bed that appears to be 15 years old. Front desk girl never set my time so I laid there naked, called my husband up front. She insisted she set the time. Then she realized she never did. No cooling system except these "fancy" fans. Thank God I was only here for 1 trip. The entire experience was a trainwreck. read more

I love going to Palm Beach Tan because they have updated beds and they have several options for high pressure and high pressure beds that have monthly packages there are multiple places in town that do you have this level of beds but they do not offer it in a monthly unlimited monthly options. They also have an awesome package for your teenagers that are an able to tan they have unlimited spray tan packages that are extremely affordable if you decide that you need to put your account on hold there is a maintenance fee however that fee just accrue and then once you restart your program all of those monthly service fees go towards your first monthly bill so they don't keep the money they just apply it when you re-add your account in the future they also have several options around town that you can bounce back-and-forth to. If you're someone that's looking for less of the bad UV rays in more of a high pressure bronzing bad this is definitely the place to start your tanning package read more

I have been going here for years and the staff has always been so friendly. The manager Jennifer always greets you as you walk through the door. Well where do I start! I usually never leave reviews I really feel the urge to review plam beach tanning. I pay over 100$ for a monthly package! Crazy I know! But when I pay that much money a month I except to get what I'm paying for ALMOST everytime I have been to Palm Beach tanning there is a line almost out the door. Tis the season I guess but I dont care to take almost an hour out of my day just to tan for 10 minutes. And never have the diamond bed available when I go and thats what I pay for. When I get there all the beds are taken and it's a 20 minute wait then the employee ask if I want to go into a lower level bed which is fine I guess but the reason I pay over 100 dollars is for the better beds so annoyed. I'll probably finish this month out and never return. And the 24 hours in-between every tan is absolutely ridiculous so other then the wait time and not having the good beds ever be available and the 24 hour wait in-between maybe this place is for you oh and when I expressed this to the employee working there was absolutely no compassion hopefully they can get these things resolved read more

Not to thrilled with the 24 hour wait time in between sessions, I paid for 30 days of unlimited sessions. Shop is always clean, most of the girls are great, but the 24 hour down time is not cool. What happens when I tan late on Saturday and your not open for my 24 hour period down time on Sunday?? Are you going to extend the hours?? Do I get extra days??
