First and foremost, I went to EXPLORE pricing on a tanning membership. I didn't even know if I was willing to pay that much money for something I can get for free, outside But when I walked up to those doors (this was before even entering the building) I was already smiling and laughing because their signage was just spectacular, colorful & hilarious! (PS we have toilet paper was by far the best thing I've read all week) So I already entered the salon with a smile. I was then greeted by someone with more personality than anyone I've ever encountered! So fun, and bubbly! I literally looked at her and said "I'm sold, sign me up!" I wasn't playing at all. I didn't even care about the price at this point because honestly, just getting to see her face and her personality shine everyday, is a win! I joined Palm Beach over a year ago though I rarely have the opportunity to use it. In March 2024 I went by and asked about a "vacation" hold as I knew I would be out of the country for over 2 months. The girl asked me if I wanted to cancel my membership and I told her no to just put in on a vacation hold for 2 months which she said she would do. During my travels through the Dallas airport my credit card was used by someone in the food court so my cardholder promptly .replaced with a new card and sent it over night to me in Ireland. Yesterday when I returned to Palm Beach to tan I was told that I was two months behind in payment since my old card was still on file for payment plus they had added two late fees which was almost as much as my monthly dues. I explained that I had been out of the country and that I had come by and placed my membership on vacation hold. They had NO record! She called a supervisor and they would not correct THEIR mistake! I told them to just cancel my membership but was told that the two months AND two late fees had to be paid BEFORE I could even cancel it. I have NEVER been treated so poorly be any business before! Needless to say, cancelled my business and will go some where else where my business is appreciated! BEWARE OF WHAT THESE PEOPLE TELL YOU AS THEY DON'T DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO! Well, I am BEYOND frustrated and angry. I signed up online for the promotional special and received an email to go by the location of my choice and complete the package. I chose to go to the Soncy location. I arrived at 9:20 am and it was PACKED. There was only ONE very frustrated high school/college age kid that was trying to take care of everything. As I was explaining to her about the package I signed up for, showed her my email confirmation and she began processing my request. MANY times while she was attempting to complete my transaction she was constantly leaving me and checking in other clients even though they had NO bed to go through. I counted 12 people in the small waiting room. She took my credit card to be placed on file but said I wouldn't be billed until the 25th. I asked her if I could purchase an SPF lip protection. She said yes and ask me if I wanted to purchase a tanning cream. I asked her how much it was and she said $42.00 which I thought was high but I said ok. After she rang me up she handed me a tube of lip lush which had no SPF protection. I told her that wasn't what I asked for and she then tells me they don't sell it! I told her I didn't want that and she informed me that she had no idea how to do a return and would have to get the manager to handle it. I asked to speak with management and no one was there. She took down my name and number and said she would have them call me. She wasn't able to give me a receipt so I had NO IDEA of the shock to come later in the day. After about a 45 minute wait, I finally got my first tanning session and went home. Last night, while checking my bank statement, I saw that I was charged $225.54!!!! That is $183.54 MORE than I was told the tanning lotion was. I again called and ask to speak with a manager and was told NO ONE was there. I called again today and again was told no manager was there. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY ANYONE! I am not paying $225.54 for a tube of tanning lotion. My bank told me to try and resolve it before disputing the charge and I'm giving them until Monday to resolve this on their end. Needless to say, my first experience may very well be my last. I am totally blown away that the employees are not sufficiently trained to do the job they are being paid to do! read more

Very disappointed this evening. I showed up at 6:45, 15 minutes before closing. No one was present. I waited 10 minutes and figured I better find someone to help me. So I peeked down the hall and a girl said, "oh whoops!" Then, her and another girl approached me in the front to explain they had already cleaned the spray booths and could not let me use them because of the cleaning process. I told them I had been waiting a long time at the front to which the girl responded looking at her watch, " we've been back there 10 minutes......" I'm thinking...I know!!!! If you are going to clean the booths that early, then close at 6:30. As I write this review, both girls locked up and walked out at 6:58. I've never had this issue here before. I work long hours and have limited availability so I was very disheartened. read more
