I'll first start out by saying that the beds are fantastic. They are very well kept, clean and high quality. This is my regular tan spot because of where I live. It seems that every time I come in I am helped by a young lady named Lindsey. She is very nice and helpful with the products as well as very knowledgable about picking the best lotion for me. This is where I would like to express my frustration.... When I have been helped by the actual manager of the salon, I believe her name was Misty, carelessly told me which lotion I should use as if she had better stuff to be doing. I believe I waited for 20-30 minutes to get into a bed because the girl at the front desk was helping other clients. She kept calling back to have the manager put me into a bed but never came to help. Just hope when you go in that Lindsey is working. read more

Was visiting Abilene from out of state and needed a spray tan for a wedding. Went here despite the mediocre reviews and was highly impressed! The sales woman voluntarily applied a coupon to my tan so that it was super cheap, only $10 (regular price was $30.) I was worried they might try to push the tanning membership on me but they were totally chill about it, which I appreciate. Very clean, very quick service. This salon is the cleanest in town! I was a customer there when it was Amazing Tans and the person who wrote the first review is the old manager of Amazing Tans. She's not happy with Palm Beach doing so well when she obviously ran the old salon into the ground and out of business. The staff at Palm Beach Tan is super friendly and actually care about your tan. Yeah its a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Planet fitness doesn't care about there beds or how long you want to tan for. read more

I walk in and I am at my second home. The manager and the ladies there are always talking to the customers, building relationships, serving us and pampering us. They may get swamped but unlike other places they quickly move to get you into a room still feeling like you are the only one in there. I go to Dallas 1-2 times a month and I am always glad to come back to ABL to my friendly faces. The ladies in Dallas are nice but my family is here. read more

Terrible service, and very rude employee. Refused to let me get a SPRAY TAN without my ID, which I had my student ID and my voters registration. I called other tanning places and they said it was fine. Totally ridiculous. The lady even said it was the law, so I looked it up and what she said was completely wrong. If you're going to be quoting the law atleast know what you're talking about. You have to have your ID to lay in a bed because minors aren't allowed but Texas law said nothing about spray tan. Oh well, they lost a loyal customer! I get spray tans a few times a month now another shop who took me after them got my business! read more

Would not recommend. I'm new to Abilene and have been tanning for several years now, this was the first place I came because they had very reasonable prices. I should have seen the immediate red flag when I called to ask for the pricing of a basic level bed and they said "just come in and we'll tell you" I was trying to get a feel for all the tanning places around to compare prices before actually going and committing to a salon. But I went anyway, only wanting to get the basic level package but I felt pressured by the staff to spend more money, almost as if I picked the cheaper one I would be hated every time I came in.. And then the lotions.. I had lotion in my hand, clearly I was fine. I get they need commission and everything but when I say, "no I'm fine" it means I'm fine. Please don't continue to try to sell me a 200 dollar bottle of lotion. Anyways aside form that as I said previously I've tanned for years. My body knows how long I can tan for, I take very well to tanning, not burning easy. But every time I come in they make me go for a shot time, in a low pressure bed. But they practically forced me to buy the bigger package? So I'm not gonna tan in the cheap bed!!!! Agitating. Lastly, I understand the law you can't tan twice in one day, understood and completely agree. But what I don't like is here you can't tan the next day until the time of day you came your previous visit.. What about those who work and are on a different schedule? We can't tan the same time everyday, resulting in not getting money's worth, highly annoying. AND one more thing, they close at 10 on Fridays, which is really awesome because I work late on some nights but I come in at 9:30 to tan, then the next day I can't tan at all because they close at 9. I'll for sure be looking else when my month expires!!! Counting down the days. read more
