This is the worst yoga studio I have seen - and I have been to dozens of studios from Gig Harbor to LA to Washington, DC to Florida and many other places. The owner Rosie is no yogi in mind, spirit or body - she is a bad-karma disaster. Rosie told me gratuitously off the bat that she kicked out yogis for complaining ... I am not sure what the complaints entailed but after my experience I suspect they relate to Rosie's lack of professionalism and horrific customer service.
The facility itself is problematic with no showers - just a cold-water hose to rinse off outdoors. But that is not the real problem - the problem is Rosie.
About a week ago I signed up for a 2-week trial membership. After my first class a woman who says her name is Laurel (from NY and also on a 2-week trial membership) needed a ride back to her hotel so I gave her a ride. She was odd and made comments about my body and my unique sweat top, which went missing that night. It was a California Bodyguard front-zip transparent white long sleeved thin sweat-producing top with a pink high-waist detail and Velcro pink cuffs. It is irreplaceable as the company has not been in business for decades. I received it after modeling some clothing and appearing in the movie Round Trip to Heaven (I was cast as Ms. Mexico City back in 1992). It is part of a 3-piece set with shorts and long pants. I was upset when it went missing because it was in new condition (never being used much in over 30 years) and clean, as I had not worn it that night. I told Rosie about the apparent theft so that she might help me recover the item. She has Laurel's contact information but I do not.
The NY woman Laurel had also borrowed a copy of the book I wrote on Jeffrey Epstein and failed to return it as planned the next day. In retrospect Laurel's way of getting me to let her into my van to provide a ride to her hotel was manipulative and I think Laurel is a very troubled person with financial problems based on comments she made to me.
Rosie's conduct concerning the theft of my irreplaceable top was shocking. She stated, "Who would want a sweaty old top?" I responded, "me, and whoever took it - obviously." But it was not sweaty and looked like new. Rosie then told me I was not allowed to mention the theft at her studio and proclaimed, "I am the owner!" She was inappropriate in failing to be concerned about the theft and pretending that no one would want this unique very cute zip-up transparent top. A few people mentioned how cute it was - there is nothing like it on the market today and I cannot replace it. It also has some sentimental value from the movie set. I want it back.
When Laurel returned my book on Jeffery Epstein she placed in the bag along with the book a short black sweater. Is this her offering for taking my top? I asked Rosie to tell her I want MY top back not her black sweater in lieu of my top. Rosie refused to cooperate to help me get my top back.
This was not the only problem at this bad-karma studio. There was a bin of 50% off clothing and I did the paperwork with Ericka to buy 1 pair of shorts for $22. But later Linda the yoga instructor who sells her clothing there (Rosie is not even a yoga instructor, by the way) told me I owed her $32 for the shorts - after I had taken off the tags, so I felt bound to pay the higher amount that I would not have paid had I known originally. I don't know who placed the shorts in the wrong bin or if they were in the wrong bin at all but Ericka said nothing at the time and those shorts were sold as $22 not $32. It is just another example of this studio's bad karma - any decent person would honor the price offered and not change the price later. These yogis seem desperate and don't seem to understand financial karma.
Rosie's conduct was so nasty that I will not return and will lose nearly half of my 2-week trial membership. Rosie also proclaimed that Laurel did not steal my item - based on Laurel's statements/denial to Rosie. Rosie had an intention of gaslighting me and had no personal knowledge that Lauren did not take my item - unless of course Rosie had the item herself (which is the only way she would have personal knowledge that Laurel does not have it - simple logic here). I feel confident that Laurel from NY is the likely thief based on the facts - she commented on the top and had the opportunity to take it either at the studio or while in the back seat of my van where the top was as I gratuitously drove her to her hotel.
This studio will not survive the bad energy that surrounds Rosie. No wonder people have complained - and Rosie's solution to complaints is to run off the complainants instead of addressing the theft and other issues at this studio. read more
