It's next to a neighborhood so parking can be tough if it's a busy day. We set up shop in the upstairs area with the 2 picnic tables and had a successful event in most ways except one. Unfortunately restroom availability is a problem on the weekends. There is a building that has a restroom that needs a code to enter. However, there isn't anyone there to provide it so it's practically useless during off-hours. Bummer for folks who traveled far. Not sure if I'd be back unless we are visiting our friends who live nearby and they decide to have a party there.

I wish the swings were longer cause it's a lot back and forth quick swings but he doesn't complain and asks to jump back and forth between the two options. The area is very small, but not crowded so a sweet low key option for a parent who doesn't want to run around too much. There's a fun dome like spinning seat and a larger swing to sit with your kid in as well. There's not a ton at this park but what there was enough. Safety: I felt super safe here! I There were a handful of people with kids resting at some of the few picnic tables who kept to themselves. There were a few teenagers that strode in but they also kept to themselves. The flooring at this park is spongey and I had no worries about my son falling. There is a concrete "stage" with concrete seating around it that my son loved climbing on so I was close-by for that play area. Resting: Plenty of grass for picnics and 2-3 picnic tables that I noticed. Nothing was shaded though. Overall: I would definitely come back. My son was not ready to leave as he loved it here. I just need to figure out the correct parking lot!

We brought our dog to the dog park here last week and to spend some time exploring the park. It's a…read morelovely neighborhood area with plenty of parking, sports fields, playground, dog park, library, and there was even a food truck in the parking area. The dog park was really nice with fresh cut grass and fencing so the dogs can be let off of their leash. They had potty bag holders available but I always bring my own so I'm not sure if they were stocked or not. There were only a few other people in the dog area, but there were lots of people walking their dogs. There was also a soccer game going on just adjacent to the dog run and the park was very lively and full of people. I personally did not appreciate that the sports teams had placed their goals on the only sidewalk/ walkway through the area so that anyone walking had to go on to the grass to get around them. I feel like the park has plenty of room and that wasn't necessary. Other than that, we really enjoyed our visit here. I also checked out the library while my husband checked out the food truck with our dog. There were clean bathrooms inside and an adorable children's book area. I definitely recommend a stop to this park if you're in the area.

For an impressive waterfall it's pretty mid. But the area around has some trails with nice views of…read morethe ocean and beyond. Yelpers have mentioned the trail to the waterfall starts where Westline Dr. and Skyline Dr. meet. From here it's fairly intuitive on where to go. I felt the trail down to the falls seemed too steep to attempt so I opted out. I'm not sure if it was better a few years ago but when I went it felt dangerous and easy to lose footing. I wouldn't recommend this part for someone hiking alone, with kids, or with inexperienced hikers. The trail continues in the other direction along Westline Avenue with views of the ocean. If you continue you can see the top of the waterfall from here. You have to walk a little off the main trail in the ice plant but it's worth it if you want to see the falls. Another way is you can see this waterfall is by walking from Esplanade Beach. From the top of the stairs there the waterfall is about .6 miles. It's so much easier to get to this way and it's a nice beach walk. From here you can't see the waterfall as clear because there is a lot of debris in the way. In this sense it's almost a better view from above. The waterfall comes out of a storm drain which isn't as nice and only flows after a big rain. I wouldn't come out of my way to see this waterfall. But I think it's worth coming to see if you are already at Esplanade Beach or live in the neighborhood and are walking the trail alongside Westline Dr. From the start point to the beach and back it's about a 3.4 mile hike.

Parked at 10:50am and there was plenty of parking. Fairly easy I would say. There's only a few sections of shaded areas so a hat is a must. There's also a few stops with bench seating to soak up the views or have a snack. Watch out for poison oak.

This is a great park with many well maintained trails…read more The Trail up to the highest point starts from the more remote parking lot, walk on the paved road under Guadalupe Canyon Pkwy. You'll see Signal hill, (transmission towers) and paths are narrow and steep with fantastic views. The Guadalupe trail is lovely with views of the bay, and Bay Bridge, Oakland -Berkeley and San Francisco too. The Bog trail is full of water-loving trees, vines and a creek runs through it after rains. Lots of native plants and birds. To learn more about this large open space area look up when there are guided hikes, or read the bulletin boards.

The grounds are kept up pretty well, they have places for fans to sit and it is generally a pretty quiet area. I think it is a nice and quiet place to have lunch, sit in the grass or enjoy watching local teams practice.
