Worst service i ever received. They have done eye exam in a hurry and given wrong results. Due to that i spent my money and time to get eye glasses with bad results. I am unable to see small fonts with new glasses read more

Too much wait time i had my appointment an hour ago and I'm still sitting in the waiting area, I'm waiting as i write this review.

Palisade Eye Care has consistently long wait times, and the quality of care is mediocre at best. What's most frustrating is the apparent disregard for patients' time. My elderly mother and I waited over two hours to see one of the many doctors in the practice, an unacceptable experience. The front office staff was also disappointing and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your eye care needs. read more

Dulce was the best!! Super helpful and did her upmost best to translate for us. Was super attentive and works very quickly and professionally. She got everything taken care of for us in a short matter of time! Would most definitely return!! read more

The receptionist Jazmine is a very nasty person. this will be my last visit in this office.. she puts you on hold and doesn't come back on the phone.. I have an appointment and at 2:40 they over book.. I have another appointment at 4:00 and their are 3 people in front of me..I have recommended people here and they never came back. I hear jazmin telling her co workers she is going to be nasty to people tomorrow and ruin their Friday read more

Terrible experience. Waited in the lobby for 90 minutes. When I had the nerve to ask what the deal is and why people with appointments after mine were being scene, I was snapped at and just told to wait. Time to find a new doctor. read more

Beautiful, well-run office. Dr. Rau was kind and knowledgeable. My eye is much better two days later. Grateful.

Well run medical office. Appointments run pretty much on time. Doctors are friendly and helpful.

Last week I had a Laser Procedure that surpassed my expectations. I'm Legally Blind and this week I'm a little less blind. This Eye Practice is Polite, Professional and Informative. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs Eye Care. Frank Carrasquillo read more

I am going to comment on the customer service we received. Mydallas greeted me as soon as I walked into the office. I felt welcomed and the eagerness to assist me. I explained the reason I came in and she was very understanding and I knew that she would make sure everything will be ok. My brother in law was the patient and he needed me to take him. He is older and doesn't see very well. I explained his situation to Mydallas and she was very keen to make sure I was very satisfied. I also explained that I will need to leave then come back to pick my brother in law, she said ok and I left. She called me and explained what the Dr. said and what I need to do. Amazing, it was like she knew all the answers. I have read the other reviews, they are older and this office has changed. We didn't wait long to be seen by the Dr. I am very pleased with the wait time and extremely happy with Mydallas. read more

Too long of waiting went into waiting room to wait on doctor for the one doctor to tell us, " No you are suppose to see another doctor but he's not here" so we sat in the office for almost 3 hours and nothing was accomplished. So frustrated. The worst read more

As several others have noted, ridiculous wait times. Got here 30 minutes early to complete any paperwork in advance of my 2:30 appointment. An hour later and still waiting to be seen. The assistants weren't particularly friendly, my daughter was having her first eye exam and was visibly nervous. The doctor was very nice, but kept coughing without covering his mouth. The same with several receptionist and other optical specialist. The doctor was worth a return trip but the staff and wait times were so off-putting that I'll not be back. read more

Wait times can be long. Care quality is excellent. Staff is friendly but at times overwhelmed so patience is key to good service.

If you want to see the Retina Specialist, he only comes on Wednesdays so every senior citizen in the area will be there. Prepare to wait two hours in a dirty waiting room. Staff is friendly and nice but little organization. Doctor was fantastic but not worth coming back unless you're ok with waiting hours. read more

If I could give minus stars, I would. The most unfriendly people I have ever been in touch with. Everyone: from the receptionist to the assistant, to the doctor. Everyone. They did not verify my insurance information and then had the nerve to charge me! It is their job to verify my insurance information. They said they accepted my insurance, until I got the bill. Then I found out that they did not accept my insurance!!! I have never experienced something like this and I hope I will never again. STAY AWAY! read more

This is the first time I met Dr. Parikh, and I was very pleased with the care I received. He's very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. Although he is young, I find the young doctors are up on the latest techniques. I have no problem seeing him again. read more

Ridiculous waiting times ... The appointments are pointless. This kind of establishments are a trap. Look some other place or bring lunch and clear up your day schedule... Like all of it ! read more

I have to agree with the two stars. This is two consecutive appointments that I am 15-20 minutes early for my appointment and a hour later is when the doctor seemingly is walking in the back door. Todays appointment is at 8:00AM and it's currently 9AM and I am still waiting to be seen by the doctor. No explanation from the staff. No seems to know where he is. I just heard one of the techs ask if he is at surgery? You don't know? Then Doctor's and there staff wonder why patients get upset. While the staff is walking around talking about their nails and vitamins and ordering food I should be at work attending to my own incoming patients. No I'm not a doctor but my main responsibility at my own job is working with maternal patients 5 days a week. And when an issue such as this occurs my staff and myself take the time to try and address the issues and Apologize. Dr. finally arrived no apologies and less then 5 minutes see you In six months. Let me follow up and see how much is my insurance being billed. And Im an hour 46 minutes late for work! Have a good day! read more

Look elsewhere. As stated in other reviews this place is a joke with no understanding of the concept time. Unless you genuinely like to sit in waiting rooms go anywhere else. You should not be spending 3 hours of your day waiting to see an ophthalmologist. read more

Wait time was a little over an hour past appt time, but other than that, everyone was really great. The receptionists, the technician, and the doctor were all courteous and competent. The office and equipment are modern and clean. Receptionist went her way to help me with a pharmacy issue. Very nice. read more

Do yourselves a favor, do not go through their optical shop for their prescription glasses or lenses. The person in charge is incompetent and mediocre. They promise a 5-10 business days and it has been longer than that now. They could not give you a concrete date when the glasses would be available. Never again. read more

I just went to this clinic and they charged me $180 for just a check up even though i have a valid insurance...not gonna come back for sure read more

Wish I could give zero stars... The doctor (Dr. Betty) is pretty good, but the worst part is the optician shop within premises. ### Don't go via their optician for buying the glasses. ### They first told me 1 week. when I called, they kept repeating "we will call you when they are ready" At the end of second week, I called the guy, Carlos who seems to run the shop. He said the glasses were ready. I went to pick them up and found that: 1. The lenses had smudges and finger prints all over. 2. The frame was incorrect, I had ordered a different design. 3. The frame had scratches and looked used. It almost seems to be the same one that I originally saw in the shop while selecting the frame two weeks ago. Currently waiting for them to reorder. I have been again told it will be another week. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! read more

I've been misdiagnosed by Dr. Rau. I knew something is not right. Went to a different doctor.... and yes! Finally I see. I don't get how he could determine how bad my eyes are within 3 minutes of testing. No "blinding drops", just regular test, thank you for sucking out of my VSP! Not a specialist! read more

the treatment was horrible the ladies in union offices are rude and have a nasty attitude, I came with my son and they treat me and my mother horrible I wasn't giving any of my information or guidance to get my glasses they refuse to help me I need to call my insurance and online w a paper prescription they gave me and my son horrible people please do u a favor and don't come by read more

I love my doctor hate the wait I've been coming here since I was three years old I only go to Dr panerella. If he wasn't such a great doctor I would go elsewhere. Waiting sucks doesn't matter if you come early smh. read more

The doctors are quite professionals an good at what they do, but their billing practices are a little shady. I went for an examination to the Union office due to an infection and all went well and needed a "follow up" two weeks later. According to my HR and the insurance company, I'm not supposed to pay for that follow up visit, but the way they sent paperwork to the insurance, it is done in a matter dubious so they not only get paid more, but charge me no matter what. Do you know what happens when you don't pay one of those bills? your credit score is ruined! I tried to call Dr. Ganesh Rau to state my case, but no matter how many messages I left with Jazmin or Jennifer, he never returned my calls. I'm better off taking it with the BBB/ Consumer Affairs. read more

I was so looking forward to this appointment! I was deployed for 15 months and couldn't get an eye appointment overseas. My eyes have deteriorated and I finally got insurance through my new job. The address on my plan website gave me the old office address. After I couldn't find the office, I called and walked 4 blocks in the rain. I was 10 min early for my 3:30 pm appointment. 4:15 pm I got up, said I was going to leave. I couldn't wait anymore. The receptionist called to another asking who was next to be called. When it wasn't me, I left. Parked at old office and was charged $8. Waste of time and money. I'll look elsewhere. read more

This review is simply based on how disrespectful the practice is of your time. After waiting for 45 minutes and told that there were still 3 patients ahead of me, I walked out. Don't bother going here unless you have hours to spare. There are plenty of other eye doctors in Jersey City and nearby Hoboken. read more

My family have been coming to this office for years now and I gotta say that though the wait times are long the doctors do not disappoint! The staff are very nice, the office is very clean and maintained. My dad sees Dr. Panariello, he loved him. He did his surgery and my dad was so happy with it. My mom sees any doctor available and she's glad to be seen and that they are all thorough with their exam. Me & my husband sees Dr. Rau. Regardless of the reviews of this place, they are very good doctors. read more

While Dr. Lutz is fantastic the wait times at this office are horrendous. It should not take 90 minutes + to be seen by the doctor. If they have evening office hours they should be able to accommodate in a more timely fashion. read more

Great Doctors ! Awesome staff would highly recommend. The Dr. take the time to evaluate and answer all questions.

Even with an appointment you have to wait 1.5hrs before the doctor sees you. Understaffed and poorly managed place. The doctors are also running around to get to all patients and rushing as a result. Quality of care is poor I would not recommend this place. read more

Been to a number of other nearby doctors and none of them could figure out what was going on. Went to Dr Rau and he almost immediately knew what was going on. I then brought my mother here and Dr Rau took the time to really help her understand cataracts and the process of having them removed. She now sees better than she has in 15 years! read more

I was happy when this practice allowed seeing patients during lockdown. But unfortunately that's about it. My sad story starts in March and ends now. I have had it. Dr. Cervenak was the first whom I saw. She said I had a chalazion and prescribed me drops. When the pain and the cyst did not go away, she recommended I'd be seen by Dr. Modi who would remove it surgically. When I went to his office, he could NOT see the cyst. He was examining me at distance, extending his hand. I assume he wanted to stay as far away from patients as possible, although I did have a face mask. Helped by me, he finally saw the cyst and said it would be best to wait and not have surgery then. I understood we were in a very delicate situation on account of C-19. I waited and still hoped the drops would take care of this. It did not. I e-mailed the practice and the next appointment was with Dr. Rau. He said I should be prescribed stronger drops and contradicted Dr. Cervenak's diagnosis, now I did not have a chazalion but pyogenic granuloma and recommended me ZYLET. I hoped that would be it. Still in pain and discomfort, I had to call the practice again. I was switched to LOTEMAX. Yesterday, I had to call the practice, because now 1. the cyst in my lower eye-lid is still there but because of C-19 non-essential surgeries are postponed. I knew that. However, Dr. Panariello contradicted his colleagues saying that if the cyst did not disappear after 5 weeks of various drops (all prescribed by doctors from PALISADE EYE) then I should discontinue to have them in my eye. I also went there because now my upper right eye-lid is swollen and it hurts every single time when I blink. He dismissed the obvious swelling and instead of prescribing me an antibiotic for 7 or 10 days to help with the infection that is clearly going on, he said to pour ZYLET. Because, why not, that was in my chart anyway?! Does the OATH mean anything to you, doctors? PRIMUM NON NOCERE. I guess not. I was sad not only that I spent money and time back and forth but that they are clearly each suggesting something else. Too bad other practices are closed because of the pandemic because I would have rather chosen a professional one. PLEASE AVOID THIS PRACTICE. read more

I took my 23 yr. old daughter for an exam, she went in alone, and the doctor proceeded to dilate her pupils without asking whether she drove there or if she had a ride, so upon leaving, had I not been there she would have been unable to drive or may have had an accident trying. That is a concern to me. But what compelled me to write this was the front office staff. Having met my maximum out of pocket with my insurance, I should not have been charged the $30 copay. I advised the lady who claimed to be the acting office manager of this, and asked her to call my insurance to verify. She flat out refused without explanation. Even after I offered her the 'provider hotline' number on my insurance ID, she just refused to call. I paid and will have to wait for them to reimburse, causing an unnecessary inconvenience to both me and their office. My advice is find another place that actually cares about the patient. read more

Not sure why this place has such poor reviews. I was able to get an appointment on the same day, which is amazing and a real life saver, given the eye troubles I was having and the pain I was in. There was quite a bit of a wait at the office, but any time I've been to any doctor anywhere, that's been the case. Dr. Cervenak examined me very thoroughly and took my condition very seriously. She applied an ointment and asked me to come back later that day so she could check on the progress of the healing, because she was worried I may have had an infection. Turns out I was ok in that regard, just scratches but no viral infection. She asked me detailed questions about my eye care routine and made very thorough suggestions on what I should change to improve my eye health. Overall, I was very satisfied with the treatment and attention I received, both from the office staff and the doctor herself. read more
