Stopped in for a quick snack, but it ended up being pretty disappointing. The chicken was cold, tough, and honestly hard to eat--especially surprising for 11:30 in the morning. I asked for two dipping sauces and was charged 89¢, which explained why a simple order of a fountain drink and six nuggets cost more than expected. I remember when this place used to be much better. Just about everything in the store is marked up 50% over regular price. The man at register is rude and acts like you are beneath him!

This is a glorified Chevron gas station! Outside of Austin, headed back to Dallas on the back roads I pulled into what I thought was just a Chevron gas station. The station was larger than normal, but walking inside, it blew me away. *It's huge inside, with so many great little additions! From the out side this place looks like just a large Chevron gas station from the out side. When you walk in, it is easy to be blown away thinking it's just a gas station. Holy cow! I stopped here on my way back from the Austin area heading back to Dallas going back up the back roads. From the outside it is clearly marked as a Chevron gas station. When I walked in, I was blown away by all of the extra features that was inside this gas station. Later I found out it is marked on the receipt as a grocery store rather than a gas station. From the outside it clearly marked as a Chevron gas station and you would never know it's so much more. Now mind you, when I first walked in, I had the impression that this was a unreported Chevron gas station. I was blown away seeing a decent little produce area for a gas station! Then as I turned the corner, there was a cold meat bin, and time after time so many other areas that blew me away. They had a wine area, hot food area, several benches to sit and enjoy your food, hot peanuts, it just kept going on and on! The prices are marked a little higher than normal, but it is 'supply & demand' here. Highway 35 can sometimes be a nightmare with construction and the rude drivers. So driving back on the back roads are even faster! Wow! I was really blown away by this place and it deceivers 5 stars, but the lady behind the register had the worst attitude, was very snippy, it may have been just a bad day. Now I hardly ever talk negative about anyone, but upper management should recognize when employees that interact with customers, they need to step it up! After leaving, I found out why they charge more, heck they are right near the river where folks are on the river boating, fishing or just out on the water. **From the layout, products they carry, the cleanness of the store, location I want to give them 5 stars, but due to high prices and poor customer relations I would mark them a 3 or 4 stars. The store is just dirty. Have yet to go here and not walk out feeling dirty. Maybe they could get rid of the cheap plastic and put up some actual plexiglass or something for the covid protection. And their food is a nope for me just based on how not clean the store is. read more

So, you're on your way out past Lake Travis and you forgot something. Sunscreen? They've got it. Drinks? They've got them. Snack food? That too. Fishing tackle? Yep. You pay a bit for the convenience, but a friendly, clean, well-stocked version of a gas station and general store is just what you needed when you're going to Pace Bend or points beyond. I've shopped at this store for years, and for a long time it's been one of the few places to stop in between Bee Cave and Marble Falls. Yesterday however I got stuck in the middle of a terrible storm and decided to pull in and try to wait out some of it (mostly because my eyes were hurting from trying to see the road!) While I was killing time I used the facilities, shopped a little, talked with some of the friendly staff and really realized this place is a little gem. Yes you're paying a little more since it's convenient but they really do have a nice, clean, well organized place. There's a little grocery area, any of the things you might have forgotten before your day on the boat, tons and tons of snacks and the best koozie slogan "Just Outside of Weird." Love it. read more

If you are in the mood to set your money on fire, this is the place to go. Does it have everything you need? Pretty much, but it'll cost you... I understand the concept of supply and demand, I even understand marking up the price to an extent, but this place takes it to a whole other level...they don't display prices on many of their items, so you end up at the counter in shock...grit your teeth and pay for it anyway. This has happened to me on two occasions...first time it was a 6$ PINT of Ben and Jerrys...the second time It was 10$ for a digornos pepperoni pizza! I'm a local to the area and this is the closest store for at least 10 miles, so sometimes I have to buy food here...I love the staff, love the vibe but I always leave feeling horribly taken advantage of and that's not the way you want a customer to feel leaving your store. Stop being ridiculous and greedy. Make your prices reasonable. It's not right to take advantage of your customers like that. read more

I wish their grill was open later and had more food options...why no Mexican?

Don't buy anything from this store! We had propane tanks filled and there were no signs saying how much it cost while we were having the tanks filled. When we got to the check stand we were shocked to see that each tank cost $20 to fill!!! They charged us $40 to fill 2 small propane tanks. A can of Campbells soup will cost you $1.50 at HEB, here you will pay $3.50. It's outrageous and we will never shop there again. read more
