Hiring Palazzo Pool and Spa was the worst possible decision, but they were only one of the two responses I received when I called pool companies to give me a quote. I was told my pool would be ready in three months overall, no more than eight weeks after they broke ground. I had to call every week for three months just to get updates on the permitting. When they had the permit, I was not informed when they would be arriving until one day when they showed up at my house and started digging. It took over 11 months from when they broke ground to when the final permits and lien releases were completed. It took over six months just to get a pool that could hold water. They didn't even bring in a water truck, but used untreated well water to fill the pool. The filter equipment was ruined before I ever got in the pool. Along they way they destroyed my fence (even on the side they didn't remove), my irrigation system, and risked my foundation by leaving a corner dug out in the rainy season with my slab overhanging. Even though they told me they would shore it up before a stormy weekend, I had to spend my Friday night shoveling excavated dirt from their pile back under my house in the rain! The ditch behind my house was left unshored and unbarricaded for weeks, putting my kids and pets at risk and violating all kinds of OSHA rules. They also left dirt, rebar, screws, and other sharp debris around my yard further risking injury to my family. They even seemed to make a deliberate effort to throw excavated dirt over my exotic plants - Travelers Palms, Bird of Paradise, and Pineapple-Guava bushes. They superintendant and foremen ducked my calls - they never answered their phones and almost never returned messages. Even the owner was full of promises that it would be taken care of and made right but never was. Deadline after deadline passed with no progress. I actually wound up moving for work and having to sell the house before the job was finished. The sale of the house was even held up while we waited for those clowns to get the Lien Releases finished.
I would never, under any circumstances, trust Palazzo Pool and Spa with any project again. read more
