There are no words to describe the unprofessionalism. I bought a house six months ago. It is my…read moreunderstanding that two sets of previous owners had used Ridgefield Lawn. When the time came to blow and bag the leaves last Fall, the owner just made my entire back of the fenced yard a dumping ground for the leaves instead of doing a cleanup. That area now cannot be used. His wife, when I asked her point blank to remove the leaves, said he would remove them. She and I discussed the significant tick issues that could result from those leaves and the danger to me and my dogs. Also, Ridgefield Lawn had placed a lock on the yard gate. I have asked for six months to get the key to make a copy. I'm now having other workers come in and I have to have it. John Dumke came this morning. He made every excuse not to clear the leaves. He said he had been pushing them in the back of the yard for fifteen plus years and didn't have time. I told him I had asked for months he and his wife had several opportunities over the last six months to say they would not do it. He got mad. He got even madder when I again asked for the key to my gate. He said the lock was not his problem. I said he had to have the key because his crew uses it to get in to mow. He then started yelling and calling me difficult. He said several very disrespectful things that were completely unacceptable given the nature of my requests. Yelling is not an exaggeration. I have never seen such behavior especially when my questions were simple. The fact that he made the back of the property a dumping ground shows his laziness. I would give John Dumke and the Ridgefield Lawn Service zero stars. People that visited my home were appalled that Ridgefield Lawn left the backyard in that condition and charged me 500 just to blow the leaves. It took me one recommendation and one phone call to find a company that was happy to help and that did not operate that way. They believe in leaving the yard clear if leaves and they understand the dangers of leaving the yard a mess. Shane on Ridgefield Lawn. I also have to add I used them for snow plowing. They pushed a good ten foot pike of snow against the house in front of a window vs. clearing it. I told them not to do that and they did it again . They came very close to hitting my car with me watching them. They tore up my alarm sign and just left it pushed over. It is too deep to pull out of the ground. Just horrible work ethic.
