Yet, despite that, this pub wasn't all that bad, and the staff here were certainly quite friendly as well. In a way I did appreciate the place, despite the fact that it did come across as being a little tacky. Drinking there has gotten so boring, on Saturday the 20th December a few days before Christmas, there was 3 people in the whole of the 2 bars, i left at 7.30 & went to another pub, not the first time i've had to do this, Staff, seems to change every week, without a word of a lie, some of them, we the customers have to show them how to pour a beer, if you want to cash in any of your winnings from the horses, they run around looking for a staff member who can operate the tote machine, if you need them to change a t.v station, i'ts a nightmare, only about 2 weeks ago in them doing so, they blacked out everything. While the staff are tidy, for some reason have no people skills, hard to mingle with only 3 i understand, but on the rare time there is a small crowd, no intermingling, Unlike other pubs they do not offer you member discounts, no interests in any horse/football punting club, no raffles, nothing. I myself have lost a lot of my drinking friends there, they drink some where else, i now feel i may have to do the same.
