We've been meaning to try the place out for a while and we're regulars in the other Thai restaurant in Halifax (Pjararees) Well we both had to admit that Thai Style compares well, the standard of both the food and the service is excellent, and although it does have a licence to sell alcohol (so you can't take your own with you) the bottles of wine are very reasonably priced between £9 and £10 for a wide selection. The early bird offer itself had a wide selection, including all standard meats you'd expect to see. We would both recommend this place, particularly for the early bird offer, (currently on Monday through Thursday 6pm - 7pm) we'll be visiting again very shortly.

They've certainly pulled out all the stops to refurbish the interior - it's certainly been done to a high standard. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to Thai cuisine, but I recognised a few familiar dishes alongside plenty of options I hadn't seen before. We first had the Mixed Starter which was a selection of five dishes (you can choose replacements of identical value if there are any you don't fancy). When it arrived it was well presented and all tasted great. For my main course, I opted for Gang Massaman curry with sticky rice and it was a generous portion, again full of flavour and delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly in what ended up being a busy Friday evening in the restaurant, but we got a table by the large windows so could watch the world go by as well. Definitely worth a visit.

I'm so glad we decided to return and try this one out. It's quite a big place and can been seen from the roundabout.. of course we drove straight past it though because you come off the roundabout and the turning in is literally the first immediate right. When we go anywhere new we normally try the set menu to get a good idea of the food in the place and then if it's good we come back and try different dishes the next time.. also we tend to gauge a good Chinese restaurant on the hot and sour soup.. this was a good one. We had a mixed platter for the second course (ribs, prawn toast, spring roll and a kinda curry samosa) they all tasted wonderful. Then for the main course we got steak in a fruit sauce, beef in chilli sauce and king prawn massaman curry.. which again was great.. they are big portion sizes too so we didn't get chance to sample a desert. The service was excellent too.. we got a young woman as our waitress and she was delightful.. she engaged with us, was funny and attentive to our needs.. also we weren't rushed in anyway either.. they were quite happy for us to chat away at our hearts content even though it was getting close to their closing time. Suffice to say we left a tip and me and the other half already have plans to return for our date night.. even though it's a good half hour drive from our house.

The food is a fantastic take on thai in the UK, perhaps sometimes not totally authentic, i.e. the pad thai is even better than that you will find on the streets of Bangkok, the tiger tears steak is not something I encountered anywhere in Thailand, but is totally divine, the warm chilli tones melting into the salty soy tones, with a perfectly cooked steak, this is heaven... to try it is to love it! The rest of the dishes always meet my high standards for thai food, and I'm confident in saying that Rim nam kicks the ass out of any London thai! Mmmmmmmmmm!
