Unfortunately MY experience was not great. Brandon is a nice guy but lacks professionalism tremendously. For a Christian, he will feed you lies and disappointment. I found Brandon on Nextdoor app for a great price. He reached out and i was open to having him do some work for me and potentially a lot more in the future. We agreed for him to do 1 accent wall and a small bathroom with a toilet in it. Initially, he told me he would see me Saturday after 6pm but never showed or texted with updates. Sunday came and he texted me early in the AM. I decided to still give him a try. He stated after church he would be by me between 11:00-11:30 but did not arrive to my home until close to 1pm. So he def lacks punctuality. When he did come he was reserved but polite. He was also overly confident in how he does his jobs. he made it very clear that his alleged 16 yrs of experience required no painting prep. I must say i was very apprehensive at first but i ultimately trusted the process. He was kind enough to suggest i switch my expensive paint from Satin sheen to Egg Shell. The switched required me to run to Sherwin williams to replace the paint real quick. Unfortunately that would ultimately change the projected completion time. He texted me shortly after i left and stated he needed to run to grab a booked U-Haul. Not going to lie, it was a bit unsettling to hear that he had to leave with absolutely no approximate time when he would return. Not sure where the oblivion came from but it would have been a kind professional gesture to let me know beforehand so i the customer could have a little control on managing my time or who i picked for the job and even when the job would be completed. Who rents a Uhual, move and dont know ahead of time. Personally what he said could be true but i personally think there was more to the situation that he did not want to disclose and made up a story. but i could be wrong. One thing for sure i was not born yesterday. Ultimately he left me for 4-5 hrs before finally coming back to finish. At this point he confidently convinced me that priming my wall with existing paint was not necessary because the new paint with a different sheen had primer in it and it would dry evenly. I must say when GOD gives me wisdom, i ignore it sometimes to avoid conflict. Brandon clearly had a hidden agenda and had no intentions of doing what i wanted and doing it well. In fact he rushed the job and stated he needed to run to the airport to pick up his girlfriend. Now make it make sense smh. ‍ he decides to again not share these details to me before hand causing me to rush and avoid a second or third coat. He knew i was uneasy about him leaving the job before letting it dry and blend. He promised me with strong assurance that he would return if the job was not good and the wall did not blend. Disappointed i was, i felt it was important to verbally let him know that he was wrong for not letting me know about all his daily plans. His response was, "well technically we didn't have a official appointment" .... again his delusion/oblivion in that statement made it very clear he has no accountability. Despite it all, we left on a good note and i paid him for his services. The next day i sent him pictures of the wall not blending like my fear, and his paraphrased response was "ok ill come back and do 1-2 more quotes". Again the wisdom kicked in because i knew deep down inside he had no intentions of coming back. Whats crazy is this man blatantly lied to me via text 3 times about returning to my home to fix the job. Guess what? i even offered to incentivize him to come back by offering additional paid work. Did it help? NO! What saddens me about this situation is how hard it is for minority owned business to do well when you have owners like Brandon who lacks accountability, TRUST, commitment and Professionalism. I mean whatever happened to simply " Just Doing The Right Thing". I am sure Brandon will somehow think how he handled me was right or maybe lie to potentials that what i said isnt true but i assure you i have no reason to lie. Unfortunately i must rank Brandon and his business a 1 star because he left me hanging for a whole week, and made 3 failed promises to return to my home. At this point i will accept the L (lost) and allow my Powerful God to have his way and hold him accountable. i simply would NOT recommend Brandon because he literally did me wrong. Again my goal was not to bash Brandon. He is a nice and pleasant guy but he has more going on then he'd like to admit.
