The team was professional, punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented throughout the entire bathroom and cabinetry project. They took the time to really understand what I wanted and offered thoughtful suggestions that made the final result even better than I had imagined. The craftsmanship is outstanding -- the cabinetry is not only beautiful but also built with exceptional quality, and my bathroom now feels like a luxury space. Communication was smooth the whole way through, and they kept everything on schedule and within budget. It's rare to find a company that combines skill, reliability, and genuine care for their customers, but this team absolutely delivers. We hired GLR Kitchen and Bath remodeling to do two full bathroom remodels, our guest bathroom, and…read moreour master bathroom, install a vanity area in our bedroom, and install some windows. We signed a contract for about $45,000 worth of work in December 2021 and work didn't start until May 2022. They started a week early and went over deadline about 3 weeks. There were days people didn't even show up. They pushed and pushed for full payment on a job that was not even close to being finished and when we refused to give them the final payment until the job was completed, with lots of back and forth, they told us they were done with our job and not coming back. Our final punch list was a page long, full shower glass enclosures in both bathrooms were never installed, wainscot wall coverings were incomplete and not installed well, sloppy seams and wood trim throughout, painting and drywall work was sloppy, chipped tiles and some of the new custom cabinetry was marred. We wanted to keep our existing wood trim but most of it got ruined by the elements because of their carelessness. The wood trim they used to replace ours was a different kind of wood, stained two shades too dark and wood filler was two shades too light. They left paint rollers hanging in trees, paint spills on the driveway and nails in the driveway which punctured our car tires. They continued to make it very clear that the contract was a fixed rate contract however they didn't honor that, specifically the wainscot material, they said the original material cost increased significantly and gave us two other material options to choose from that were significantly cheaper, so their contract was most definitely not a fixed rate contract. They failed to order material in a timely manner and expected us to eat it and go with a lower quality material. We also ordered $4,500 worth of custom bedroom furniture about halfway thru that we never received and after they told us they weren't coming back we asked for our furniture deposit back, which they refused, they sent us pictures of the furniture frames, with no drawers, knobs or finish and told us to come get it since material was already paid for. This is just bad business. We contacted the NC Contractors licensing board to file a complaint and learned our contract was illegal because their license wasn't valid when we signed the initial contract. That investigation is still pending. We ultimately had to hire our own glass company for the shower glass install and a new plumber to come out and fix low water pressure in both showers and zero hot water in the guest shower. The new plumber found wood chips in the shower heads and told us they used natural gas line pipe dope instead of Teflon tape to seal the connections, there are no gas lines in our home. We were left having to fix all the mismatched wood trim, sloppy paint, drywall and several other issues ourselves. GLR Kitchen and Bath remodeling cannot handle a big job and I would never recommend this company to do work, big or small, in your home.

His team of painting and carpentry contractors are top notch. Some of the things that set Sherwood apart is that they are very consistent to their quote. Dan is honest with his appraisals and with the options that are available to you. he does not try to up sell you and does not low ball the estimate and then once the project has begun have a ton of extra add ons. Also the team at Sherwood does care about the quality of their work. they begin early and stay late to ensure the job is completed. Sherwood painting is a very good local company that will give attention to your home and treat it as their own. With out a doubt they will paint my homes again and they should paint yours if you want the job done right!

This is a review of the overall experience we had with a recent job that was NOT completed to our…read moresatisfaction. We had several miscellaneous punch list items that were to be finalized according to our agreement. Here is a list of the following items that were NOT done to our satisfaction: *Multiple Boards replaced on our Pergola & Repainted in its entirety (12 boards should have been laid down, & only 1 board came to the job site.) Painting was done subpar, and my wife and I spent 3 1/2 hours touching up behind them for areas that were missed all over the Pergola. *There was a Lack of manpower for the job to be completed on time. We only had one person on site at times, and therefore, the job took double the time and not completely finished as per the agreement with the Project Manager. We also had to purchase additional stain, due to the fact of miscalculation on the part of The Honey Do Service Estimator, stating what was needed to cover the job in its entirety. *Job Prep Work: Damage was done to our Hot Tub cover, due to the type of plastic covering used by the contractor. There is now a black residue on the cover, due to the type of plastic covering used. The Owner came 3 separate times to attempt to clean the vinyl Hot Tub Cover. However, they were unsuccessful with their attempts. I spent 2 hours on a weekend, on my own time, utilizing a chemical, to remove the damage that was done. I did not want anyone from The Honey Do Service back on our property, after their negligence and everything we had gone through. There was damage also done to a bush that is now dead. Per our Landscaper, after 5 weeks have passed, from him trimming back the damaged area of this bush, zero regrowth has happened. Our Landscaper said it is dead, as regrowth should have shown within 7 days from trimming back the damaged area. The damage was caused by the Contractor's negligence in covering the bush with their plastic covering used...too tightly...and the bush died. The Final Invoice, dated 5-5-25, states The Honey Do Service would reimburse us, in the next 30 days, in the event the bush dies, for the amount up to $200. I met with the Owners on 6-24-25 in their office, as all of the above items were discussed, and I paid our Final Invoice Amount owed that we agreed upon, based on Good Faith. Our Landscaper sent an estimate that it would cost $175 to replace the damaged bush. The Owner left our home today....7-21-25...looked at the damaged bush with me and stated that the bush would come back over the next year, per his landscaper, and he was not replacing the damaged bush at this time. This is a complete TOTAL BREACH OF CONTRACT, based on the verbiage of the Final Invoice that I paid to The Honey Do Service-Lake Norman, again in Good Faith. *In summary, WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THE HONEY DO SERVICE-LAKE NORMAN based on this experience!!!!!
