Our painter was a very nice woman and she worked well with my guests. She had no set up to do because we did it for her. I used my own table cloths because I didn't want used ones. My guest and I did the set up for her because that's just the people we are. No problem. The night went well for the most part. At the end, they try to drum up business for more parties. I get that. But the sales pitch went on way too long and kind of put a damper on the end of the party.
Here's where the biggest problem lies: I paid for the premium package. $20 extra a person so they could have a cloth apron to keep, an easel, a better grade canvas, a plastic reusable water cup, and a paint palette. I wanted my guests to have nice equipment. When our painter arrived I questioned her about being able to keep these supplies since I paid for them. She spent the whole night trying to get in touch with corporate or another painter to get the answer to my question. NO ONE RESPONDED. They let their painters hang in the wind. So she took my supplies. My guests got to keep nothing. Finally, when she got an answer she was already long gone and told me that I can keep the supplies that she now has in her trunk but she wont be able to give them back to me for another week. This is unacceptable and unhygienic. When I contacted corporate they told me I could have $50 off my over $1000.00 bill and they would give me another $50 off if I had another party with them (never going to happen). So I went online to see how much the extra $400 in supplies costs (because I know they came from amazon) and the total was around $125. So for the $50 now and the $50 later they could have resent those supplies to me (new) and used my supplies for other parties that don't buy premium, it would have all worked out ok in the end. They didn't want that. They refused to send new supplies. I will not be accepting those supplies back. So now I am out of those supplies.
My advice to you is buy your own supplies and take the basic package because the mark up on the cheap supplies they purchased were outrageous.
Their total lack of communication with their painters is unacceptable. I will not be receiving those supplies back because that's just gross and I am out new supplies. For the amount of money they charged they still would have made a sizeable profit.
This company is greedy. After reading the reviews on how badly they treat their employees it now all makes sense. Greed. Don't use them. Buy your own supplies when you find someone else. I am more than capable of running my own paint night and it will be a hell of a lot cheaper. read more
