This location is in the same shopping center as my favorite Starbucks so we finally decided to stop in one day. 4 hours later... we were done! My wife and I chose like the biggest ones to paint but they don't have a sitting fee (I think that's what she called it) so we took our time and painted the cutest gnome and Darth Vader ever! The prices are listed right one the piece you chose and that includes the item, the paint, and the glaze. Pretty fantastic deal! We spent $75 total and like I said, they were very large pieces. The place was packed when we went but it didn't feel overwhelming or loud. The color options seem endless. Some solids, some with sparkles, some with flecks. The brushes are a little worn so I think I may bring my own next time if that is allowed but there are plenty to route through to find what you're looking for. Best part, the variety they have to chose from! The whole store is lined with pieces including the upcoming holiday, fantasy, garden, kitchen flatware and mugs, and so much more. The place is family owned and much of the pottery they pour (again, I think that's the right'ish way to say that...). Either way, its a small business and we love supporting small businesses! We got a call when our items were glazed and ready to go, about 4 days later.

The employee clearly stated that she broke my piece during the glaze dipping process. She fired it anyhow so I could see how it turned out, but clearly stated I was not allowed to take the piece with me. Upon further inspection of my piece it was altered in other ways as the lettering I had painted on had clearly been smeared and an attempt to clean it off had been made. I was then told I could come back and paint another piece for "free". No, not free. I already paid for it and was not taking a completed piece home with me. Oh and laughing about it didn't help matters ladies. We will not be back.

Tons of fun on any day or night of the week!…read more I came to Brushes N Beverages Art Studio for the first time on a Friday night. I had heard a lot about this place recently and was looking forward to trying it out. It is located in a downtown loft space right across from the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center with lots of parking in the front off of Sante Fe. When I arrived the owners Rick and Sue welcomed me into their beautiful paint studio and offered me a variety of drinks and snacks to choose from. I spent the first few minutes getting acquainted with the nice and friendly owners, the teacher of the class, and the other students, then it was time to put my apron on and get to painting! The studio is fairly large for lots of individual painters, as well as for bigger private parties/groups. We all got to pick a seat which was already set up with our own personal easel, canvas, brushes, and a variety of paints to get started. Apparently Brushes N Beverages offers different painting themes on different days/nights of the month. On this particular night we painted a beautiful mountain range with a sunset lit sky! I have no prior painting experience and I have to say that I have not had this much fun in a long time! The teacher was super patient and thoroughly explained which brushes to use, how to mix our colors to make our paintings a little more customizable (the guy next to me wanted to paint a "Denver Bronco colored sunset"), how to create different blending effects, textures, etc.. She even walked around to check on each of our paintings a few times to offer specific help and tips on how to make our paintings as beautiful as possible. After a very enjoyable 2 hours I found myself sitting in front of a beautiful masterpiece! haha! I am so proud of my painting and everything that I learned in just one night at Brushes N Beverages, but most of all, when I look at my painting I remember how much fun it was and what a new experience it was for me in Pueblo! I am going to highly recommend this place to everyone I know! I already want to bring all of my family and friends back here so that they can experience it too! I imagine this place would be perfect for family outings, a cool date experience, girls night out, bachelorette parties, work functions, family/high school reunions, birthday parties, baby showers..the list goes on!
