Had a great experience painting and drinking here. The instructor, Kyle, was a fantastic at walking the class through the steps of painting the northern nights. Took around 90 minutes todo and the results were satisfying. Whole class seemed pleased with their results and enjoyed the lesson. They have a variety of wines and canned beers to choose from. What a great night at Paint & Vino!! Kyle and Emily were awesome hosts! Our group of about 25 had a fantastic time, with many of us painting in this format for the first time. Emily made it easy, and Kyle did a great job keeping spirits high when we "thought" we made a mistake! Since it was a group, we got a ticket for a drink. The beverage selection was good, and you could purchase a beverage after using the ticket. They offer many classes, not only painting, on their website. A large group of us (40 people) got together for a paint night. We bought our tickets online ahead of time and all of the supplies including the studio space, a teacher, aprons, paint brushes, snacks paint, canvas, plus two beverages were included in the price - it was a great value! Upon walking in, they check your name off the list (I didn't even have to pull out my digital tickets) and hand you two drink tickets. They directed us to the apron wall and told us they had some snacks available (bakery pizza, watermelon cubes, popcorn, and mini egg salad sandwiches) and let us know we could take any open seat. I was so happy to see there were many options in the beverage case; our drink options were wine, beer, soda, water, hard seltzers, lemonades, and bottles of pre-made mixed drinks that we could chose from. While you can't buy additional drink tickets, they have cans of soda and bottles of water available for only $1 The person working the desk and the paining instructor were easy to talk to and they took great care of us during our time there. While I'm not an artist, and don't even enjoy painting, it was a lot of fun to try something new, catch up with some friends, and watch how everyone's canvases came to life during our session. While I was walking around the room, I was amazed at how everyone's paintings looked slightly different from each other and how they were a reflection of the person painting them. I have no idea what to do with the painting I got to bring home, I guess the real fun was being able to get together with friends and having a nice time doing this activity together. read more

My fiancé & I went to the Valentine's Day couples paint night and we had such an amazing time! Peggy was awesome & made sure everyone had a great experience. Hours later my fiancé realized her diamond earring fell out while taking off her apron. She reached out via email and received a response from rachel@paint&vino letting her know that they will look around. Best news, they were able to find her earring and we went and picked it up. Corrie was awesome! We came for a private event and she was flexible, funny, easy to learn from and made sure we had a great time. The space itself is nice. Lots of space for bigger groups. The first parking lot is a little small and spots are tricky but Corrie let us know there is a second lot so not to worry. Drink options were plentiful so don't worry about that either. Class is just enough time to get your painting done and feel good about it. No time to overthink. Definitely will come back. read more

What a fun night!! A group of six of us went for a what was a really great time and fantastic experience. They hook you up with aprons and all the things you need to make a cool keepsake item. We painted a snowman on a solid piece of wood and with our instructors help we all were impressed and very happy of our work. Don't hesitate to ask for a new paintbrush should you need one. They do get a bit beat up so if a fine line is needed they are more than welcome to trade you a new brush. Your ticket gives you a drink along with your painting and additional beverages are available for purchase. The bar and paint studio operate separately so plan to tip both people accordingly. Small gift items also available. A small parking lot right outside the building with additional space just down the street. Highly recommend! Very fun night. read more

I was visiting my cousins in RI recently and the three of us attended a Saturday afternoon event. We painted sunflowers on framed glass and the end result was a "stained glass" look. The instructor was helpful and pleasant, the music was good, plenty of options to drink (fortunately because I don't drink alcohol), and it was fun! We each had a pretty piece of art when we were finished. The class was very full but not loud or unruly. Parking behind the building was packed but they have a lot a little past the building that had plenty of open space. The cost was reasonable too. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. Had an excellent experience at Paint & Vino! The staff and instructors were very welcoming, knowledgeable, and funny. The studio has 2 rooms (one can be for private events) they can fit quite a few people in each room. they also have a mini bar (2 drinks come with your ticket purchase) coat room, and rest rooms, and a small parking lot for off street parking. you can also utilize street parking. I would highly recommend taking a class with them great for solo or group's events. can't wait to go again! read more

I bought the "Paint Party in a Box" that was to paint the "Starlit Snowman" online. It arrived at my home within days! Once I built up the nerve to open the box, it was clear they had thought of everything. From the plastic table cloth, the plastic apron, each color packed separately, the brushes, pencil for tracing, tracing paper, snowman template, foam tray, water cup! It was easy to feel prepared. I first watched the "Easel" video which walks you through the steps needed to convert your box into a homemade easel. Then, I brought up the instructional video when I felt ready to move ahead. The online tutorial is much like the in person instruction in that they take very definite steps that are easy to follow. Being able to pause and rewind was especially helpful. They will tell you exactly how to mix colors when required. After following the tutorial I was able to paint my snowman and his details. The last step involves using the poking stick included in the kit - to pop the holes for the LED lights through the canvas. I like that you get as much instruction as you need while also being free to get creative on your canvas! I definitely recommend the "Paint Party in a Box" to anyone looking to have some fun with painting from the comfort of your own home! read more

After years of debate, we finally scheduled a paint night at Paint and Vino...and I had an absolute blast! I have the artistic skill of a newborn baby. When I draw a line, it's about as straight as Howard Stern's hair, so believe me when I say that I have no talent. Despite this, I wanted to see if even I could have success at a paint night...and I did! The instructor was so friendly, and the atmosphere was extremely laid back and fun! The steps were easy to follow, and they provide everything you need. Paying $35 for a painting and two beers was a great value in my opinion, and we've already booked another night! I had a really fun time enjoying a belated birthday celebration with my sister at Paint and Vino the other night. I know the trend for painting/drinking has been taking off lately, and there are multiple venues that offer this experience. So far I've tried a couple. First, I attended a paint and wine event at Roger Williams Park Zoo where we painted a red panda. It was fun, and a bit challenging since we were painting a pretty detailed creature. I actually enjoyed the experience at Paint and Vino more. First of all, this place exclusively does paint and wine events. There are a lot of paintings to choose from, and each month there is a calendar depicting all the options available. The paintings rotate, so you can easily find something you like, and also find reasons to return to paint others! I also like that you get two free drinks with your admission (the zoo had one free drink, but did include snacks too!). I like how one basic painting was created in so many different ways by all the people in the class. No two painting looked alike--AT ALL. I know that some people who attend these events are more artistically inclined, while others do it just for fun, but either way, you will unleash your inner artist, and maybe even make some new friends :) read more

Brilliant - absolutely brilliant! Nestled on Main St, you will find a gem of business. A fun night out, a painting class, 2 glasses of wine/beer/soda, and a fantastic memory you will cherish :) Pawtucket is making a great comeback as a destination for the arts, and Paint and Vino is a perfect addition. I felt like I had a mental and emotional massage after painting in our class. Here are my suggestions 1. Make a reservation 2. Wear an outfit you wouldn't mind getting a few paint specks on (they do provide aprons) 3. Put an old towel or sheet down in your car (your painting might still be wet when you bring it home) 4. Take a few extra dollars so you can leave a little tip for your bartender :) 5. Leave a little early, so you can arrive 15/20 mins early (plus, pawtucket streets can be confusing) 6. When you get to the intersection of Main St & Roosevelt Ave Exd - take a right (slater mill will be on the left at this intersection) 7. Park in one of their two private parking lots. 8. Last night was my first time going to do something like this, and I had a BLAST! Our instructor Brie was amazing! What a wonderful personality, and she was very helpful! She made the class so much fun! I'm no artist but I had a blast trying to become one! The only downfall is the parking, and the building (on the front doesn't say Paint and Vino). I actually drove by it three times before realizing where it is! Luckily, I saw the sign in the back of the building. Other than those two things...it's well worth the time! Paint & Vino is so much fun!! I went there last night for the CMYE... What a great time! An awesome place for a girls night out, a group, or I'd even go there by myself for a get away night! It is in downtown Pawtucket, and the actual entrance faces the Blackstone River so if you are driving down Main Street searching for it it's a little tricky. They have dedicated parking which is actually on Roosevelt Ave, and a nice convenience. They have a very nice terrace with cozy chairs overlooking the Blackstone River to sit out and enjoy your vino! The art instructor Jessica who was there last night was super fun! She jumped up on stage and showed everyone step by step how to make a lovely painting and walked around the room to encourage us as we created our works of art! Truly a fun time! Not sure of the difference between Manet and Monet? Botticelli and Brunelleschi? Not to worry, my unfamiliar Uelsmanns! Paint and Vino will *still* be a great night out. Wet your whistle, dampen your bristles - - - - it's art time! Parking is on Roosevelt (street and lot parking) - due to detour it's a dead-end street, so not a whole lot of traffic to worry about. $35 get's you: paint + canvas + instruction on how to apply paint to canvas + wine to aid cooping with paint-to-canvas result. There are some snacks on sale for ~$1 and soft drinks/water/tea available if liquor ain't to your likin'. Jessica lead our CMYE class of about thirty down the rabbit hole of a "mystery painting" (ie: the student has NO idea where the composition is headed). She did a great job at guiding us - but, personally, I prefer to know where I'm headed (I need some structure to my stylizin'). Canvas is about 18" x 15". Paints are elementary, dear Watson (no, really....even in the generic "Art Teacher! Pump me some more" jugs of primary colors). While I was initially a little put off by this, I quickly appreciated the simplicity of it all (hard to take yourself too seriously when you're painting with the butt of a cork and giggling over Merlot). Loosen up, have confidence, and ENJOY the process! When taking the group portrait, a fellow artiste happened to get a little too close to Jessica's example canvas (aaaand apparently that paint is TOUGH to get out of clothing). Tip : wear something you're ok with staining (especially types like me: the quirky and uncoordinated). My last tip to you un-tapped artists: bring a sheet to put down in your trunk, you can put your still-wet painting on the sheet for less messy transportation. (wish that I had thought about this BEFORE the event). It's a GREAT concept, and the first of its kind in the area (that I know of, anyway), and the location certainly has extreme potential (classes outside, next to the dam? - cool!). My personal suggestions to this budding business: themed nights (silly accents, artist costumes, and pre-selected compositions), and peppier tunes (we're there to imbibe and invent! Pump up those jams!). read more

I was so excited to try this "paint bar" idea and it turned out to be great! It was the perfect girls night activity :) The $35 cost is well worth it and includes 2 glasses of wine (which was probably the perfect amount if you want your painting to come out half decent). When you sign up, they tell you the event is from 7-9, but we only left around 10 because afterwards, they go around and take pictures of everyone which is a really nice touch. They later post those pictures on their Facebook page. The instructor was funny, entertaining and really helpful throughout the entire process! It was great! For not being anywhere near an experienced painter, my painting came out pretty good! There are lots of beginners that attend this class so they help make you feel better about your painting abilities if you have never painted before. At the same time, there are people who attend that produce paintings that look like mini Picassos..... I will defiantly be back to do another painting very soon and highly recommend this place to anyone! For those of us northern Rhode Islanders, were pretty lucky to have this paintbar nearby! read more

I went with a friend for the first time last week for flying elvis patriot night..we had a great time..I left a good review on fb with one bit of constructive criticism...much to my surprise the very next business day I received a personal message from the owner apologizing for the tidbit of constructive criticism. We messaged back and forth and reiterated I would be back and did enjoy it immensely...however...to know someone is personally reading each review and cares about the 1% not so good instead of the 99% great review says volumes about their character.
