Then in the summer of 2013 they had a major fire and had to close down for almost a full year to renovate and totally rebuild. Since the rebuild the fire damaged the tanning salon next door so the new Lazio just opened up again and it is really a well designed and beautifully decorated upgrade. Also in the new Lazio is a cafe-lounge. Onto the food. They are known for their tomato pizza bread. Usually I go for a half $8. or you can have a quarter size for $5. Their tomato bread is a Quebec specialty. A really good tomato sauce and the bread is nice light and great to munch on small pieces. It makes wonderful finger food for a party. They also have an excellent selection of olives, sausages and desserts. Sometimes we get the tart au sucre, sometimes the 5 fruit. Also their bread is super fresh and a great place to get a fresh baguette. Some of their items are a bit on the pricer side so be careful and look at price. This is our go to Italian place for goods and I can tell by the lineup on Saturday's that it's many other people's go to place as well!

Unfortunately we came close to closing time so a lot of things were gone. But there were still some huge croissants and Chocolatine, Quiche, cakes, pastries. We ordered six chocolatines to go and one quiche Lorraine. The Chocolatine were 2.65$ each, the croissants were 2$ ezch and the quiche were 15$ each. I was simply amazed by the size of the Chocolatines I couldn't pass up get! And even after a 1 he ride back home the Chocolatines were still flaky and crunchy. We put one of them in the microwave for 5 seconds just to melt the chocolate inside and wow the chocolate was owy gooey melted while the outside was still flaky and buttery! The quiche we actually had it the next day. I put it back in the oven 325 For 15 minutes. Checking in between when I was close to five minutes left to make sure they didn't burn. Cutting the slice the layers looked great! Starting from the bottom there was A layer of pie, A layer of ham, on top of that a layer of egg and finally a layer of cheese. The crust was a little thick for my liking but it was still very good. I was very impressed by the Chocolatines so I would definitely get more of those! We have purchased cakes for special occasions here and they are wonderfully delicious and artistic! Another curious delight is their pizza bread. This is a Quebec specialty and theirs has a tad more garlic flavour but is richer in flavour than some other places. Everything I've had here is tasty. Really fresh and delish. I definitely will come back to test a sandwich. Good sandwich shops are hard to come by in Terrebonne- Mascouche so I'm looking forward to testing it out. The owners are a couple French Canadian-Italian and you can definitely see the pride they take in preparing high quality food.

The crust underneath was over cooked and burnt in some places and the toppings were also overlooked. Out of the different types we got, the white veggie pizza was the better one. It did however seem popular at the bbq as it was the one desert, at a table of many, that had barely anything left at the end of the event.
