I left Congleton when I was 18 but I still have to go back and visit regularly - I tell my friends it's to visit them but really it's to eat this Chinese food!! This place has a great atmosphere and great service - I honestly don't look at the prices of anything there any more but they've always seemed reasonable to me :) Among my favourites are the duck spring rolls, aromatic crispy duck with pancakes, sweet and sour chicken or pork, crunchy beef, Szechuan beef, basically any chow mein, chicken fried rice, they also do an amazing special fried rice for those of you who like prawns (shrimp). Just thinking about it now is making me want to book flights home! Seriously! If ever you find your self Congleton way - and I say this because anyone from Congleton already knows and loves the Happy Garden - so if you're visiting Cheshire and coming remotely close to Congleton, you have to check this place out!!

The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is a very good standard, far better than most chinese takeaways I've been to but I think that's due to it being a restaurant too which pushes the standard higher. This is a popular place on a weekend so if you're eating in it's probably a good idea to book a table, if you can't get booked in then just order a takeaway. The only downside is they don't do delivery as they are very busy so you have to get it yourself.

You can also opt to eat in. The restaurant is fairly small but the service is exceptional and the food is wonderful regardless of where you eat it. Car parking can be a little tricky at busy times. It's just off the main road with the car spaces in front. It's tight squeeze to manoeuvre if you're wedged in nearest the house. Also, watch out for the sneaky traffic light camera as you approach.
