I have been to Dr. Larson/Parkview for checkups, cleanings, fillings, bite guards, etc. and I can say she is a great dentist in all regards. Her team is also very competent, considerate and caring in all situations. And her costs are fair and the front desk always makes sure I get the best price based on my insurance. As someone who appreciates excellence and value in the doctors they use, I can say Dr. Larson is an excellent dentist and her team delivers great value every time I visit. I would not hesitate to use Parkview if you are looking for a similar experience.

On my way to my scheduled appointment I was caught behind an accident in Charlevoix so as a courtesy to the dentist I called to let them know that I may be up to 2 minutes late. I was placed on hold for a second and another female took the call and told me that my appointment had been canceled because she could not confirm my appointment that I had made a year earlier. I told her that I was close to their office and I would prove to her that I had not received a message from her. She was insisting she had but no record of her call could be found. Fifteen minutes early I arrived. I explained that regardless of her inability to reach me, should make no difference as I made an appointment and I was here for that appointment. I explained that them overbooking should not make me accountable for all the people that shirked their appointments. That's not my style, if anything I'm overly curious. I don't often complain on the media but gasoline has gotten expensive as we all know. I sat and waited for a spot to open and shifted my schedule around to accommodate them, while they whispered to one another in regards to the part they played. He's as knowledgeable and gifted as any dentist or doctor, for that matter, that I've ever experienced. From my initial consultation I learned I have a couple fillings and a tooth in the back that needs extraction. The good doctor examined the X-rays and explained in great detail all my options, their pros/cons and most importantly, his opinion. I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid. We went with his recommendation. He painlessly numbed the area to the point where you could have hit me with a sock full of quarters and I wouldn't have felt a thing. He then took care of the biggest concerns and again explained my dental situation to me. After the insurance kicked in, the cost was shockingly low. The whole was over in a very short time and there were no complications. All I have to compare him to is the questionable dds' in Nevada, Texas, Alaska and Utah. He was far better then any of them. Of you have the opportunity, get in to see this man. His staff are wonderful and efficient. His assistant, Daphne, is witty and talented. Great day for us. Five stars, hands down. 02/24
